Overview
Beat the crowds on this private 4WD safari to Yala National Park, timed to include the precious dawn or dusk “golden hours”. Your driver/guide will collect you from your hotel, transport you to the park, then search for Yala’s Big Three—leopard, sloth bear, and elephant— on major routes and quieter trails alike. Choose a departure time and duration that works for you: Full-day tours include picnic breakfast and lunch.

Our driver/s will pick you up from the hotels in and around the Tissamaharama/ Kataragama/ Kirinda/ Weerawila/ Palatupana/ Bundala Junction/ Weligatta/ Yodha Kandiya area. They will pick you up at around 5 a.m. for the 5-hour morning safaris, 7-hour safaris & full-day safaris and around 2 p.m. for the 5-hour afternoon safaris. The time will be slightly adjusted depending on the location of your hotel and the locations of other guests' hotels who are going to share the safari with you. Sometimes, management of the hotels assign a location within the hotel premises other than the lobby area, for guests to be picked up by the drivers. Please communicate beforehand with the hotel staff and get to know the location, if not, the driver and you will be waiting for each other in two different locations. Be at the specific place on time and you will meet our driver. If you are travelling from a city outside our pick-up area to join the safari, come to the Ajith Safari Jeep Tours office at around 5.00 a.m. or 2.00 p.m. accordingly.

Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We had a brilliant time with Ajith Safari! Nalaka, our driver / guide was super friendly and helpful, did a brilliant job at driving us to the best spots and provided interesting info regarding the wildlife we saw as well as the overall biodiversity at Yala. Throughout the day we saw a leopard, a sloth bear, multiple elefants, crocodiles,.. and all sorts of other wildlife. Highly recommend this operator and Nalaka as a driver!

Our guide was perfectly on time and knowledgeable of all the key areas of the park. He also shared great information on the local habitat and unique tidbits about the animals in the park. Highly recommend it.

Ishan was a great guide. We were able to lepeords 3 times. A male and female in a tree on separate occasions as well as one crossing the road in the Jungle which Tonia got a great video of. Also elephants quite close including mother and baby elephants as well as lots of other wildlife such as deer, boar, water buffalo, mongoose crocodile and an amazing amount of bird species. He also had bird and wildlife books to show us what we had seen. Friendly interactive and catered to what we wanted to see.

We had a fantastic time during the safari, managed to see quite a few animals and admire the natural beauty of the Yala National Park. Many thanks to our brilliant driver Ishan who was clearly experienced, was able to spot many animals that would otherwise miss and move back to forth across the park to ensure we get sight of all animals, including glimpses of a leopard with prey in her mouth! What an experience

From the starting point to the end of the safari (7 hours) you had the same enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to give us the best experience. As a result we managed to see the leopard bear, and other animals very closely . We loved the experience with Ajith Safari . Thanks Kasun . .

Kasun was our guide for this tour today (15th Feb) everything ran smoothly and he got us as one of the first to enter the park in the morning. He knew exactly where to take us and made the whole safari interesting, especially when we came across a leopard in the bushes. The park is a busy one and there are many jeeps clambering to get a good position Kasun did this with ease and kept us comfortable. It’s an early start and a long day but totally worth it.

The experience was very enjoyable. Kansu, our driver and guide, was very attentive asking us what we were interested in seeing and making his best to spot those animals and make it a great experience. We saw an elephant family and a leopard, for which he tried a lot until we managed to see it!

The driver at this safari, Mr Kasu was a very ill behaved and rude person to family and individuals alike. He is mentally unstable as well and is a danger to be with in a jungle. I would suggest to stay away from these folks.

What can we say other than absolutely amazing! The service from ajith safaris is next level. They really go above and beyond for you. Our driver Kasun was fabulous. He listened to what we wanted to see and took it on board. He took us beyond the main roads of yala into the jungle to experience what we have never experienced before. He managed to find us sloth bear, leopard, tuskers and more birds of prey than we could have imagined. Thank you for making our experience perfect.

I had a wonderful day with Ajith Safari in Yala National Park. My guide checked which animals I really wanted to see and then spent the whole day using his expertise to locate them. I saw two leopards, crocodiles, eagles, elephants, deer, boar, monkeys, snakes, and monitor lizards. Would highly recommend. Thank you!
