This a great tour to do, I only wish I’d done it on my first day rather than my fourth. You will need comfortable shoes there’s a fair amount of walking. The ferry ride across the Lake was a bonus. Lilly our guide was lovely, she was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour too. The local chocolate shops were lovely to see, just enough chocolate provided for tasting. Nice mix of history and local culture

Our tour guide Veronica is superb! She's very friendly and informative. Made sure everyone enjoyed the tour and always head counts so no one will be left behind. Since we're with senior citizens, she's very patient while maintining a good jolly vibe. So far, she's one of the best tour guide we had on our europe trip ♥️

Learned a lot while eating delicious chocolates
    Ashley_C, Apr 2024
Tour started off with our guide not arriving. However another guide arrived in his place and then we eventually got going. It was an amazing tour and a great way to see Geneva if you are short on time. We definitely ate our fill of chocolate. I was surprised we got so much. It was very hot that day so you kinda had to eat it right away or it would melt lol The guide made sure we had different varieties of chocolates -- some were so nuanced - yum! Now we are spoiled! Learned a lot while eating delicious chocolates - what's not to love?
    Memorable
    Dana_R, Apr 2024
Besides the wonderful chocolates and cake, learning some history not only about chocolate, but Geneva was wonderful!

We were guided by Babis the Great (I called him lime did as for Greek kings) who was exceptional in touring us to the most fascinating places with the most fascinating stories. I would definitely recommend this tour especially with Babis the Great.
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
Dear Emil, Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was my absolute pleasure to accommodate you and Lilia on our chocolate tour! Hope to see you both again in the future! Take care, Liliana
    Super!
    Caitlind_P, Apr 2024
We really appreciated the added touches - personal anecdotes and the pacing to the group that was had! The layout of the tour was greatly thought of and we explored far without realising it. Greatly recommend, one of us has food allergies and those of us and another group were taken very seriously and accomodated - the tour, the history and most importantly the chocolate are amazing :)
    Best chocolate in town

History Has Never Been So Delicious!
    Brienna_D, Apr 2024
This was such a wonderful tour! We got to see a lot of Geneva while learning about the history of both chocolate and Geneva. Victoria (Vicky) was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable and so much fun. It was a truly outstanding few hours! A couple of tips, I would ignore the part of the operator instructions that tell you to skip a meal ahead of time. While you are definitely going to get lots of chocolate, you’re also definitely going to want some real food in your stomach first. I would recommend something light but not skipping a whole meal. Also, there are a few of the stores where you (for our tour anyway) get a 10% discount for the next few days. We went to all of the stores on the tour and then went back to our favorites the next day to do our bigger purchases so that we could see all of our options and it worked out really nicely and we still used the discount. Lastly, while you do get to see a whole lot on this tour it definitely is combining Geneva and chocolate history in not a ton of time, so I would say it would likely still be a good idea to plan another tour if your trip allows time! However if I had to choose between a traditional city tour and this, I’d choose this 100 times over. Thank you Vicky for such an incredible experience!
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hey Brienna & Ryan! Thank you so much for your bright energy during the tour! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the Vicky pass during your stay ;) Indeed, having a light brunch before our adventure is a great way to start, but we'll always have options to look out for our hunger cues during our tours! Enjoy your last days in Geneva, and take good care, Victoria from Local Flavours Tours

So many beautiful and unique chocolate shops! Lily did such a great job of making sure we had enough chocolate, history, and walking to see all the sites.

Great tour, learnt so much about Geneva and equally great chocolate! What a great city and Oscar was so enthusiastic which made it even more enjoyable.
Great way to see Old Town Geneva and satisfy your sweet tooth!
    Amy_G, Apr 2024
We really enjoyed this tour. Perfect amount of Geneva history, chocolate history+facts, and walking. Our guide, Marie (MT), was excellent -- friendly, funny, and informative. We were with our kids age 20 & 15, but I think the younger kids on our tour enjoyed it as well, and it was great for adults. Highly recommend!
    Response from Host, Apr 2024
Hi again Amy ! I am very glad to see that you and your family liked the tour, not only the chocolate but the history as well ! Maybe we'll see you again in Geneva soon ! - MT

    yummy day in Geneva
    Gita_S, Mar 2024
We did this tour immediately after arriving in Geneva as a way to get the lay of the land. We visited 6 chocolate shops and walked around the old city. On our tour we stopped at Laduree, Du Rhone, Guillaume Bichet, Sweetzerland and a couple of patisseries. We also did a re-enactment of breaking a chocolate cauldron with marzipan vegetables which is traditionally part of Geneva's Fête de l’Escalade. It was nice that some stops featured hot chocolate and pastries instead of just chocolates. The tour was a terrific way to learn a little bit of the history of the place and also taste a variety of chocolates. The shops offer a 10% discount to guests on the tour which can be used after the tour conclusion. My husband and I are vegetarians and the tour made sure to provide chocolates that don't contain gelatin to us. Any chocolate lovers are sure to love this tour!
