Learning about the citizens of Gettysburg and how they endured the war. I would be hesitant to stay in a local bed and breakfast after hearing how many of the homes are supposedly haunted!

Our tour guide (who went by Major Finn, I think?), was the absolute best! He was knowledgeable, funny, and great story teller and we learned so much more about the parts of the battle in the actual town than we could have retained from any book or museum. It was so good that I would do it again, even if it was just the same stories.
Remember to bring some cash to tip, because you'll want to tip.
