This 2/13/24 full day cruise was the highlight of our trip. The surf was too rough all week at Sandals to do any water sports, so going on this cruise allowed us to snorkel. The coves where we went snorkeling were calm and the water temperature was perfect. Marc, the captain was very capable, Derrick and Alvin and the rest of the crew were great. I don’t know her name, but Marc’s wife and Alvin stayed below deck most of the day preparing fresh food. The other deck hand Junior, was nice and helpful. The 4 dogs all very nice. The food and drink were plentiful and tasty. We had an option to cancel when Marc notified us the mast had broken and we’d operate on diesel power. The people who cancelled will probably regret going so, as the sculpture park and second snorkeling site were very nice. The snorkeling equipment (mast and snorkel) were high end. We didn’t get fins, as you don’t need them. If you can, book directly with the company rather than a booking site. I’d recommend using their shuttle, the cost is $50/couple, not per person from Sandals. We used a private taxi booked through Sandals and the company/driver failed to arrive to pick us up. Great trip. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Everything from snorkeling at the underwater sculpture park to the views of the harbor and sunset, hanging with the four dogs to the amazing food and drinks prepared by the onsite chefs were superb!

We loved the day from start to finish, we were well looked after by the crew and the dogs. We were shown some wonderful locations, the water was so clear, we saw the statues very clearly. The food was very good, just enough to be washed down with the rum, beer etc after the snorkel part of the trip, the sunset was fantastic, and we met some wonderful people.

False advertising

A couple things to unpack about this trip - First off the crew and chefs were amazing but there was some false advertising going on here. The description makes it seem like this is a 5 person boat tour so my group and I spent the money to have what we thought would be a private boat. To our surprise when we arrived there was 40 people onboard and we could barely get a seat - we had no room for gear and could barely be together. For the price they charged we could have got our own boat. Very deceptive and the ere are private options on the island far cheaper than what we paid. I will be seeking a refund and Viator should monitor the language they use on the listings.

Hi Jason, isn't that something! You only read what you want to read right? Why are you blaming US as operator when you booked with VIATOR who messed up the listing? All you read is PRIVATE FOR 5 PERSONS? Come on! You didn't read that the entire tour is described as a historic walking tour?: "Discover the capital Phnom Penh past and present on this private tour. QUESTION? did we pick you up from your hotel? NO did we take you on a tuktuk ride? NO did we take you to a river or museum? NO DID YOU RAISE ANY CONCERNS ON THE BOAT? NO Did you get off the boat after the snorkel part because it was so awful? NO Did you all drink like pirates and took advantage of the open bar? HELL YEAH! Did you fill your bellies with 2 fresh buffets? of course! Did you lie about the passengers on the boat to get more attention and sound dramatic! Bet ya! In your refund claim you saying there were 25 persons on the boat and now it is 40. The ship is registered for 55passengers and that day we had 27 and everyone had a cushioned seat. Knowing the market on the island for over 15 years, I can tell you that you will NOT get a private option with our services for a dollar less! If you think you got overcharged, that might be because VIATOR is charging 28% commissions. You sir are blaming the small guys that the big guys overcharged you while we gave you a great day on the water and none of you got off the boat when the times were there! Shame on you! Just rude.

Good food & drinks & snorkeling but a large group tour

The crew were well-experienced, with generous servings of good food and drinks. The statue park part of the tour was good with Mark using the markers to show each statue and explain the context. I was surprised that there was no health & safety briefing at the start of the tour, this was definitely a concern, especially during the snorkelling tour where there were several people who were not good swimmers - there should have been a closer eye on them. One way for this tour to be better would be to have less people on the boat: it felt crowded and not as easy to move around. Other than those two things, would recommend it for a day out and about.

Thank you for your feedback! Our ship is licensed and equipped for up to 55 passengers plus crew. We are closing bookings with 30 passengers, for your comfort. If it still feels crowded it mostly has to do with people bringing unnecessary items and bags and blocking seats with it and spreading out to sunbath as well as body size. After all we have to find a healthy balance between comfort and budget. We do offer private charters though on which one can choose their own size of group. During the sail to the snorkel spot we are handing out gear such as masks and floating devices and explain how to wear and use them. Amongst the crew we are 3 guides in the water with life rings for your safety, of which 2 are licensed dive instructors and lifeguards, as well as a 4th crewmember on standby with our safety boat. In our briefing we also explain how important it is to stay close together as a group and the leading guide and marker. We offer a guided snorkel tour and in no way do we offer swimming lessons or trainings of some sort. We are happy to give tips here and there, but we cannot concentrate on single individuals, take their fears and hold their hands and forget about the others and spoil the experience for the rest of the group. I hope you understand. Thank you for sailing with us!
Relaxing and amazing experience

We did the full day. The guides were took us to each sculpture so we didn't miss anything. Take the floated. The current was strong and you can enjoy snorkeling more if you don't have to fight the current too. We did more snorkeling to see fish and coral. I was a little sea sick so I stayed on the boat and relaxed. The staff are so nice, laid back and helpful. Water, beer and mixed drinks available. The food was AMAZING! The best part was when the half day part was over the crew were loading and unloading the guests we got the boat to ourselves. The night cruise was nice. More fantastic food and drinks. The night view was spectacular. Champagne at sunset. Totally worth it.

We recently visited Grenada for our honeymoon, during our visit we decided to book the full day which included snorkeling during the first half of the day and the sunset cruise for the 2nd half. We were so glad we decided to spend the day on the water with this amazing crew. Captain Marc, his wife Ivonne, and the crew made it one of the best days of our honeymoon. It was our first time snorkeling ever and they made the experience so enjoyable. The boat was super comfortable and let me tell you the food that Ivonne prepared was truly amazing!!! Not to mention the full open bar that’s offered after the first round of snorkeling. As an added bonus they have their four sweet rescue dogs that hung out with us all day, absolutely adorable. We cannot recommend this trip enough and can’t wait to go back!

I cannot praise the tour enough. Firstly the picture you see is the actual boat not some stock photo. Yes she’s a little older but still magnificent. Secondly this is not some cheap outing with watered down drinks and a bag of chips. No this is a class act with gourmet food and a help yourself open bar. The activities were exactly as described, snorkeling and sunset. But the real pleasure was the boat itself. It is the home of a german couple Marc and Yvonne and they do these tours to support their lifestyle. Their crew is Junior who does heavy lifting and the irrepressible Popsy who runs the tour. All of them are fabulous and do their best to ensure you have a great time. This is worth every penny. In my book this is the number one tour on the island.

We booked this trip for our 2yr olds Birthday having read wonderful reviews and nothing disappointed. Captain Mark and his staff were exceptional and the whole day was full of fun, the most delicious food and had such a warm and relaxed energy. Popsi went above and beyond to make sure we were all happy and that our son Finn was cared for with her lovely smile and infectious kindness. Sundowners were magical with delicious appetisers and we had a fabulous and exciting sail home. We cannot thank Mark and the team enough…. A day to be remembered forever. The captain and crew were fantastic and so accommodating. It was my first experience being seasick so if youre not used to sailing, I would take some dramamine before heading out. Captain Marc knows his way around the underwater sculpture park and will give you all the rundown before you head out. Would tour again!

Grenada Sailboat Snorkeling Excursion

My boyfriend and I took the fullday sailing and snorkeling trip on May 24th. We had a fabulous time. The first snorkeling spot is the underwater sculpture park. Mark, the captain lets you know beforehand what you're going to be seeing underwater. He also gets into the water as your guide and puts a marker on top of each scultpure so you don't miss anything. Yvonne prepared lunch for the 1st half of the trip and the snacks for the 2nd half of the trip and everything was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! It was fun watching the doggies enjoy the water as well. Junior was great making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. My boyfriend loved the rum punch as well. This was my first experience on a sailboat and it will be very hard to beat. If your looking for a fun very laid back and relaxed trip on the water don't think twice it's a great way to spend your day.

Memorable full day snorkeling excursion with delicious lunch

Amazing full day snorkeling excursion. The captain Marc who is also a commercial diver his sweet wife Ivonne a talented chef, and their crew do a phenomenal job to make sure this is a memorable experience. Their 4 dogs on the boat are so sweet and an added benefit. They greet all of the guests and even jump off the boat to swim. You get to see all of the spectacular underwater sculptures and all of the beauty of the island. The lunch was delicious and all fresh ingredients prepared on the boat. It far exceeded our expectations. We stayed beyond sunset and again the prepared hor d’ouerves were delicious and was in an intimate setting. We loved seeing the island at night from the boat all of the lights seemed to sparkle. We certainly hope to return to Grenada again in the near future and would do this tour again in a heartbeat.
