Larry was a great guide. He drove us around to various historical sites. Explained the history and background. We enjoyed the day with him. You should definitely visit Gyeongju! Make sure to go in the tomb and see the Buddha in the cave. It’s on the activity list but apparently some say no. Totally recommend!

Wonderful guide, “Jones”, shared knowledge while leading us through Gyeongju’s famous temples and grotto, palace grounds, and a delicious lunch of traditional tteok-galbi (which shared a parking lot with Ryoku bakery offering delicious house-made pastries. Our guide did an incredible job connecting dots between Korea’s three kingdoms and making everyone feel comfortable.

Fantastic trip. My whole family enjoyed it very much. We got very lucky with the guide - Paul spoke excellent english, was super pro-active and very flexible to show us things that weren’t strictly on the itinerary but also happy to skip sites we didn’t want to see. Great driver too. He made this trip highly memorable! Well done!
I gave 4 out of 5 stars only due to the extortionate cost, which was highly exaggerated and I assume little went to the actual guide.

We had a wonderful time seeing the sights in Gyeongju. The tour takes you to several locations that are must see places. We were also very lucky with the timing - there were Cherry blossoms everywhere!

We had a wonderful day trip of Gyeongju main historical sites. Our tour guide Mr Tom Kim was awesome. He was a very safe driver and was easy to converse with. We learnt so much about Gyeongju from him. We had a delicious lunch and coffee break at a trendy restaurant. We were so grateful to Mr Kim who very kindly offered to take us all the way to Yangdong historical village and saved us a solo journey on a rainy day! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Gyeongju.

We had a great tour. Our guide Bonita was very friendly. She was able to give us detailed explanations including the history of the sites. We were able to see much more than we would have if we were navigating on our own. I am so glad that we decided to go on this tour. Thank you Bonita!

John was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who took us to every major site in Gyeongju. We especially loved the temples and grotto he took us to and the history he told us about the sites. We also went to a delicious lunch and dinner based on John’s recommendation. Overall, John’s passion for Gyeongju’s history is palpable and we really enjoyed our day with him!

Convenience of not driving and stressing over searching for key view points in a city with abundance of historical sites was worth the price.
Our guide John was very accommodating, articulate, and engaging, especially with our teenage children for their first Korean visit. He was able to modify the itinerary to gove more relevance to create a theme and building up to the exhibits at the museum. While trying to squeeze in battles or war history and odd sites to trigger kids interests. He discussed any plan changes or recommendations prior to rpevent any misunderstanding. However, John would be a better match for adult tourist because of his local and historical knowledge rather than kids who are more in tune with pop and foodie cultures.
Obviously one day-trip isn't even enough to make any dent in touring the Golden City. John made plenty recommendations for sites that are better view at night time and additional sites yo visit on our way to the train station.
Overall, excellent experience. For this specific tour or maybe in general with Gyeongju, contact the company or guide early to discuss the your interest(art, general history, or unification etc) to plan efficiently.

All 4 of us, adults, traveled at the end of March, beginning of April. We booked a private tour in Gyeongju with Solomon as our guide. Solomon was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and polite. He picked us up from the train station, took us to the temple, then we had lunch. After lunch we visited historical sites and the Korean museum. He shared with us the Korean history with ample details and answered all our questions about the modern-day Korea. He also booked for us a traditional Korean lunch (at our request) and helped us decide on the flavors. We enjoyed his conversation and company. I would warmly recommend him to any American tourist that is interested in diving in more details about the Korean life. Thank you, Solomon.
