    From Hastings City, drive West along Heretaunga St/Omahu Road towards Fernhill. At the junction with State Highway 50, turn left towards Wellington. Continue on State Highway 50 for 5 Km. Pass Ngatarawa Road and 1Km on left will be Ash Ridge winery and On Yer Bike Winery Tours.

What To Expect

This self-guided bike tour takes you into the heart of the Hawke's Bay wine region of New Zealand’s North Island, just 8 miles (14 km) from Hastings. Pick up your bike rental, helmet and winery map at a base next to Ash Ridge Wines before you set off on your ride.

The Hawke's Bay Trails include 12 miles (20 km) of flat terrain, comfortably covered in 4 to 6 hours while you ride at a leisurely pace and stop for wine tastings (own expense) along the way. You’ll discover some of the finest wines from the Bridge Pa Triangle and Gimblett Gravels wine districts, including Sileni Estate, Alpha Domus, Abbey Cellars, Ngatarawa Estate, Trinity Hill and Te Awa.

Vehicle roadside assistance is on hand for support and to carry any wine that you purchase so you can relax as you cycle through the surrounding countryside.
