Overview
Explore the volcano Eldfell and the coast of Heimaey Island on this small group ATV tour. YOur guide will show you all around the island and show you all it has to offer. You’ll visit Prestvik beach and hear the story of how the islands were founded. You’ll also have some spectacular views. Each ATV can seat two, and are not difficult to drive. But each driver must hold a driver’s licence.
- Note this is for ages 6 and up
- You’ll be riding with a small group of 14 max
- Plan on 1 hour total for the excursion

This ride was the highlight of our 6 day trip to Iceland. Granted I am outnumbered 3-to-1 boys-versus-girls in my family but I very much enjoyed driving fast and being on the island and volcano. Adrian was wonderful and was one of the highlights of our trip. Over the past few days, we keep re-ranking our favorites of Iceland and this beautiful and easy trip continues to come out in top. We ended the day with food at Gott and were not disappointed. Thank you, Adrian - you made our trip!

Great off road trip around Heimaey Island. We were geared up with suits that kept us warm and dry. Our guide, Adrian, was knowledgable and provided information about local history. Would recommend!

An excellent way to see the lava fields of Heimaey. The guide was very knowledgable and gave many insights into the history of Heimaey and the volcanic eruption of 1973. He also gave recommendations as to where else to go on the island. A fabulous experience and one we’d really recommend.

Awesome tour. Island is pretty small and this ride let us explore the most recent volcanic activity. Our guide Christof was great and shared funny stories. Recommend to all visitors as one of the most fun things to do in Heimaey.
