Overview

Embark on a nautical adventure aboard the Black Dagger pirate ship, which transforms kids into little pirates for a treasure hunt on the waters of Hilton Head. The crew provides kids with pirate costumes and pirate lessons before setting sail in search of treasure. This family-friendly cruise has a choice of several departures in the morning and afternoon, making it easy to fit into your schedule.

What To Expect

Make your own way to the pier in Harbour Town for your pirate cruise from Hilton Head Island.

Before boarding the pirate ship, the crew provides the kids with costume gear, face paint, and temporary tattoos for an authentic pirate look, along with a pirate name, and a lesson on walking and talking like a pirate. When ready, step aboard the ship and sail the seas in search of the treasure chest.

In order to find the treasure, kids read the map and help to defeat a rival pirate named Stinky Pete, unleashing the water cannons in the process. All of the pirates get a share of the loot to take home after beating Stinky Pete and getting to the treasure.

There is no restroom on the boat, please go ahead of time.
Not wheelchair accessible
We don't get the kids wet so bathing suits aren't required.
Sunblock is a must, there's lots of shade aboard but we keep the kids in the action so they get a good amount of sun.

Near public transportation
Feel free to bring a drink or a snack but there's no time for a big lunch, the kids will be too busy having fun.
Don't forget yer camera.
No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
Most travelers can participate

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great experience for kids. We took our 8 year old grandson on this excursion and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The boat is made for this activity and the crew is engaging and professional. Must do for a HH visit.

Great Family Fun!

Very fun time! My four year old loved it. We saw dolphins and he made lots of friends. His favorite part was blasting the pirate with the water cannons.

Amazing experience for the wee ones and the adults! The crew of the Black Sparrow were outstanding! Very entertaining and the dolphins in Calibogue Sound treated us with an appearance also! Most fun finding treasure ever!

Great staff. The workers made the trip worth it. Ship was great. All the kids were engaged. Ours were 8 and 4 and loved it. Can’t say enough good things. A must do with your kiddos when you’re in town.

Staff were very interactive and entertaining for kids and adults. Would definitely recommend. Only thing is to prepare to buy a sword and other accessories (only costume piece is the vest). Overall, amazing time my daughter kept talking about it all night!

The staff from August 10th was great!! They were so interactive and kept all the kids involved. My oldest grandson is 13 and probably a little aged out for this but the staff went out of their way to include him. Very fun for my other 3 grandkids!!

Fun activity where kids pretend to be pirates on a pirate boat and fire water canons at a rogue pirate. Great for kids 5-10. Younger kids might be scared or nervous. My 11 yr old enjoyed it, even though it was a little “cringe” for him. The young men/pirates leading the activity did a great job telling the story and having fun ways for the kids to stay safe with full participation.
