Upon arrival in My Tho, transfer into a motor boat for a cruise along the Mekong River, passing fish cages and floating houses along the way, and enjoying views of classic Mekong Delta landscapes. Stop at a small island in the river to visit a family home, listen to traditional Vietnamese music, and taste fresh fruits, honey tea, and honey wine. To continue into the smaller canals that branch off the main waterway, board a rowing boat that’s maneuverable and perfect for ducking under foot bridges and overhanging plants. Then stop at a restaurant for a set lunch of Vietnamese food.

After lunch, return to the larger boat for the cruise back to My Tho, where you’ll meet the bus for the return trip to Ho Chi Minh City. This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

This was an excellent tour, I recommended for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh. We visited a temple, a bee farm, a coconut candy, factory, and a trip on the Meon Delta and we got into a small rowboat and went down the river. It was absolutely informative and understanding the local culture..

We were very happy with the tour guide he is very ,informative ,knowledgeable and friendly he make everyone feel welcome. We have good time.
Nice experience but too touristy
Maria_B, Mar 2024
The Mekong delta tour is enjoyable and nice to do if you have sufficient time. It’s a packed day but not exhausting despite the relatively long commute. Our tour guide, Danny, was quite knowledgeable and fun. What I enjoyed less is that this tour is just too touristy for me. Apart from the little boat trip - which is best to do early in the morning to see the floating market - the rest is very much about seeing things and ultimately buy (although to be fair there’s no pressure to do so).
A bit rushed and underwhelming
Alice_N, Mar 2024
We got to taste some really nice honey tea. I think one of the three restaurants could have been combined or skipped.
Great tour

Great tour definitely worth the money. I saw a lot and interacted with locals. Overall I absolutely recommend this tour especially if you are a traveler.
Touristic scam
Gleb_N, Mar 2024
Too much touristic spots where they bring you to buy something. The main objective is to suck more money from your pocket, rather than show something interesting. I would deffinetely not reccomend this tour.

Sites were interesting, but horrible guide.
Tim_A, Mar 2024
The guide (old man with hairy mole on cheek) was grumpy from the moment we met him. He never introduced himself, skipped steps on the tour, disappeared and made us wait for an hour with no explanation, and dropped us at the market at the end instead of the hotel. The tour itself was interesting and we enjoyed the canoe ride on the canal, but the horrible guide ruined the experience.

Really unformative, lots of knowledge when asked. Excellent group of people to travel with. Clean and comfortable.

2.5 stars / would not recommend
Merle_M, Mar 2024
I honestly can't quite understand why this tour is rated so highly. Our experience was... okay-ish. Not bad, but also not good. I give it 2.5 stars. Our experience in detail: It began with waiting at the meeting point for 30min and then picking up other guests from their hotels for 30min. That was honestly a bit annoying, why couldn't they pick up the crowd from the meeting point last that don't have hotels in district one? It was about half of the people in the bus. Then, off to the Mekong Delta. On the way, our tour guide shared some facts about Vietnam. Some were really interesting (about society, schooling system etc), others less (showing pictures of the biggest tourist attractions in Vietnam). We arrived at the big river and climbed on a big tourist motor boat (be warned, it's just a big river, no romantic atmosphere whatsoever). On the way, some explanations about the coming program and the surroundings were given, but I could not understand a single word because the microphone was too low compared to the machine noise of the boat. Then we arrived at an island where we visited one handcrafted product manufacturer after another (honey - coconut candy - fruit) - of course with the expectation to buy something. Eating fruit was accompanied by awful 'live music' - of course with the expectation for tips. Then we went on small boats to ride along a smaller river way, which could have been nice and romantic but it really was just completely full of tourist boats going up and down the small river section. After that, lunch - also okay-ish, not bad - and 10min time to ride around with a bicycle. Last but not least a visit of the Pagoda, which was quite interesting but could have been even more with some more facts about it. Back to HCMC and again, every single guest was dropped off individually at their hotel without a word of explanation to the half of us that came to the meeting point at the beginning or even a goodbye for the group. All in all, after the waiting in HCMC it was very hectic (no breaks whatsoever, even for lunch only 20min), touristy, and a ready-made program for the masses. Would not recommend.
I highly recommend this tour!

Mr. Lee was an incredible tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding the sites that we visited on the tour, while also being very engaging and humorous. He even entertained us by singing during the tour.
Excellent trip. Words cannot definitely define great experience.
Hari_K, Mar 2024
Superb Experience. Many wonderful aspects and very well planned and organised. Definitely recommended for family and kids.
Disappointing tour
Heather_M, Mar 2024
This tour was disappointing and felt like a tourist conveyor belt. I imagine if you travelled further into the Mekong Delta it might be more interesting. There was pressure throughout to tip and pay extra for items and parts of the tour. If this had been communicated beforehand it would have been helpful.
Good service
HeaM_Z, Mar 2024
The itinerary was well arranged, including the experience of a coconut factory and a fisherman-style lunch, the tour guide’s attentive service and the taste of coconuts🥥
Salestour for local products with nice lunch
DrRalf_S, Mar 2024
The tour was well organized and perfectly guided, although it was a bit too much stops for shopping to buy local products and too short to explore the area.
Nice tour
Taku_I, Mar 2024
The tour itself was good. However, pick up/ drop off service could be improved. I was dropped off not in front of my hotel, but 8min away from there, and she just said “the driver doesn’t know how to get to your hotel! Bye!!” Of course, I could walk….but they dropped off all the other attendants at their places. I was like “Why only me…” It was a bit shame at the end.
Excellent trip
Andy_O, Mar 2024
Very good and worth while experience, our guide was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Absolutely beautiful trip, value for money
Kerman_A, Mar 2024
The tour was very well arranged and Mr Pha, our guide, spoke very good English and could explain the intricate details of the culture of Vietnam and its people. Everything right from the transport, in a verrrrrry comfortable bus and the boats were arranged well.
Excellent value for money
amanda_e, Mar 2024
The tour guide was very informing of the ways of Vietnamese living along on our journey by coach.he had a good sense of humour. He was very informative of our journey
Must do if visiting Ho Chi Minh
Devin_C, Mar 2024
The tour was more inclusive than I thought it was going to be. Loved the part where we did the small boats on the little river.
A must do.
Stephen_W, Mar 2024
Hai our tour guide was such a passionate and gentle soul that loved his village and xountey very much. No request was too much. I'm a vegetarian and he organised my food for to lunch to include tofu instead of chicken and fish. The unicorn island experience was amazing and coconut Island was great. We left buying 3 bags of coconut sweets. The pure jelly we bought from unicorn Island is wonderful as well and I'm putting it on my skin everyday, ladies you must buy a jar. $15 au only. Recommend Viator and if you get Hai as your guide, you won't be disappointed. This is a must adventure to do.
