Your Bruny Island day trip from Hobart starts with the approximate 45-minute coach drive from the city to the coast, where you’ll catch the ferry to Adventure Bay. During the drive, admire the scenery and listen to narration from your driver about points of interest.
When you reach Adventure Bay, enjoy fresh-baked muffins for morning tea before setting off on your 3-hour wilderness cruise around Bruny Island. With covered open-air seating, the custom-built adventure boat provides plenty of viewing opportunities of the wild coastline and, hopefully, sightings of local marine life. Your heart will race as you zoom between steep cliff faces, heading toward the Breathing Rock. See the treacherous location where the Southern Ocean meets the Tasman Sea, and keep your eyes open for dolphins, fur seals, sea eagles and maybe even a great white shark.

David our driver was entertaining and great, even funny at times. Did Bruny Island again our 2nd time as did not do the cruise last time, did just the land tour. Pennicott cruises we cannot recommend enough, the guys are caring if you are not well, they really want you to see dolphins and others. We have now done 3 Pennicott cruises and definitely recommend this company. Had morning tea and lunch included and it did not disappoint. Thanks David and everyone at Pennicott cruises.

The cruise was amazing, our driver Izzy was the best.
The only feedback was the meeting point was not correct and didn’t receive any update on exact meeting pointz

Each trip can be totally different. One day fairly calm, easier to get closer to the seals and wall caves. The next, we experienced 2 to 3 meters swells, and approx 24 km. Winds. A bit more of a woohoo ride. Sure gave us great blow hole pictures. An earlier fall trip, Beginning of April makes a for a chillier ride. 100% A/C. The excellent crew of Kieran and James, ensure you are aware of safety and health requirements. They provide good commentaries on many aspects. Ginger pills and water were a welcome perk..
Morning tea and lunch were excellent. Served with a smile and good chance to chat with fellow travellers.
Ferry line up made for a short wait, with the operators timing it well. Thank you for a good day

Great action experience even suitable for we older folk. Tour was really well organised. Boat trip was excellent with very experiences staff who knew how to stop people from getting motion sick!!
Scenery was stunning! We didn't get to see the fur seals as the seas at the Southern Ocean junction were a little too wild on our day. Everyone was offered a $20 voucher to use at the bar or gift shop but many people commented that that wasn't necessary as they had already had a fabulous ride.
Morning tea and lunch were very nice.

Great day out, would definitely recommend. Cruise is exciting and interesting in equal measure. Weather meant it was a bit damp and cold although that didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the day. Have the fish and chips for lunch, they are great! The team look after everyone, are informative and fun. Many thanks

Excellent staff. Both Isabel and David were excellent. The only issue we’re have is that the stop at the neck was too short. We should have at least 30 minutes there.( all we had was 12 minutes). The boat ride was breathtaking and the pilot was well versed in the sites of the area.

We had a lovely day on Bruny Island. We had a group of Intellectually Disabled adults with us, and we were made to feel very welcome. The 3hr boat cruise was brilliant, despite having 3-4m swells. We went out to an Australian Fur Seal colony and enjoy zooming over the waves and doing some donuts. We had a nice morning tea and lunch, and visited a beautiful lookout. Our group also enjoyed the car ferry experience.

We loved the cruise which took us out to the Australian Fur Seal colonies and with 4m waves, the Blow Holes were spectacular. We stopped at 1 lookout, but it would have been nice to see a little more of the island.
