King's Pier Marina is right across the road from Mure's Seafood Restaurant. Helsal IV and Magic Miles are the last two boats on the far left of the marina. Meet us there about 10 minutes before sailing (the map doesn't show the marina but satellite photos do).

What To Expect

Your Hobart sailing tour starts as you hop aboard your sleek racing yacht and set off along the River Derwent. While you witness what it takes to operate an ocean yacht like this, you can help the crew trim the sails and grind the winches, if you wish. Or just relax and admire the passing scenery, from the Hobart cityscape to views of Mt Wellington.

Head toward the Iron Pot lighthouse, and watch for wildlife like seals and dolphins. Then enjoy stories from your skipper about previous sailing adventures over morning or afternoon tea featuring gourmet Tasmanian items. Your tour ends when you return to the departure point.

When booking, select either the morning tour, which operates from October to March, or the afternoon tour from April to September.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This has been one of my top experience of Tasmania, not just being on my first time on a sail boat, but the crew were relaxed, funny and give out historical knowledge as well as local knowledge from mark our captain...growning up in the oceans of Tasmania. We had a great group of people that were in our tour that made the experience feel like a day on the water with friends. Definitely would recommend.

What a wonderful experience, Mark and his crew were wonderful. What fun!!! The scones with jam and cream were delightful and the cheese platter, what a treat. We learned a lot about sailing from the crew. A wonderful way to spend a day in Hobart. Very good value for what you get.

What a wonderful experience this was! One of the most memorable activities we did in Hobart and highly recommended for anyone who wants to have some special memories of the city. The absolutely great feeling as the wind catches the sails and the yacht tilt as it cuts through the water. The crew shared their sea tales and made you feel part of the crew. Taking the wheel is a great adrenalin rush.
