Jarrod was an exceptional guide. He gave us a thorough history and some fun facts of the various places we were going. The day was wet, but there were no complaints as the tour was phenomenal! I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see and hear an overview of Tasmania. I did particularly love the tall trees and bonorang nature preserve. Such a wonderful thing to help those little guys who can’t help themselves! Thank you Jarrod!

Amazing day

It was an amazing day! Simon was a very supportive and knowledgeable guide. The tour was well planned and organized. We’ve seen a lot without any hurry. Thanks for a great tour!

The trip was great. Simon, our driver, was great- very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the areas we visited. The falls were gorgeous and it was fun to see some wallabies moving around in the forest. Richmond was nice to see. Mt Field was amazing-great view of Hobart. Bonorong WIldlife Sanctuary was very nice-great opportunity to see native animals and to hear about the rescue work that they do-very dedicated staff. Wonderful day. Highly recommend this trip. Well worth the time.
Perfect way to spend the day!

What a wonderful way to explore parts of the wonderful city of Hobart and surrounds ! Driver Jarrod was great, friendly and informative without being too intrusive letting the Hobart speak for itself and yet sharing some very interesting factoids along our drive. He did a good job keeping us on schedule despite a large family of 10 who were constantly behind and missing pickup times the worst of which almost made us miss our Bonorong tour time. Good job Jarrod! Plenty of activities without trying to cram too much into the day. Very happy with our experience!
A fabulous tour through Tasmania!

The visited forest is incredible but the guide doesn’t accompagny in the forest. The huge time spent in Richmond where are little things to visite, basted time. This excursion is enouph light but the places are incredible ( mountain and waterfall). The bus is old, not enough of security , the guide is light

Garry was a great tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about Tasmania and the whole of Australia and offers goid dining suggestions. The hike in Mr. Field was wonderful. Richmond is a cute little city with a couple (not that many) of lunch choices. A walk over the oldest bridge in Australia is a must.
Great fun

The hiking through the forest at Mt. Field was transcendent. The sound of the many birds was like listening to a symphony.
Stunning views, great places, great guide

We had an incredible day. Our guide Callum was informative and funny and made sure we knew the best places to see and things to do. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you are on a tight timescale although the tour itself did not feel rushed. There were lots of highlights but mine personally was being given the opportunity to cuddle a wombat. It made my day.

The sights were great but arranging to be picked up was a frustrating waste of time. The website had us select a hotel to be picked up at. We spent a lot of time researching how to get to the hotel and by what time, etc. Then the tour agency said they could not pick us up there and insisted we meet at a different location so we had to start again and research where, what means of transport, how much time to get there, etc. The tour driver was impatient and impolite. When one of us asked where the restroom was at one stop he replied, "I already told you where it was." If I were to do it over again, I would definitely rent a car.

Hello Jill, You put your hotel as the Movenpick Hotel which is in a bus mall, which only allows public and school buses. We aren't allowed to take our vehicles in there. When people stay at the Movenpick we message them to meet at the Central Hobart Hotel or the Vibe. Both are a 1 minute walk from the Movenpick. It's hard to do door to door service for every guest as there are many one way streets, many hotels don't have parking, and on this occasion you left your hotel at an address where no tour operator is allowed to enter. We didn't know you were staying in an Airbnb out of town and had to catch a public bus to the mall. But from when you got off that bus the meeting point arranged was only a minute walk from there. I'm sorry that this ruined your experience. All the pick information is on the page when you book. It says you will recieve a message the day before with an exact location and time. It says we may ask you to walk a short distance. The guide that you refer to has great reviews over many years. He is a bit if a joker so he may have meant it in a different way than it was perceived. He did receive a 5 star review for the same tour from another guest. Kind regards Jarrod
Great trip. Thank you so much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Bonorong is amazing for the wonderful work they do. Mt Field is like a fairy land of beautiful trees and waterfalls and we had the history of Richmond and great views from Mt Wellington.
Fabulous day tour of the sights around Hobart

What a fabulous day tour! We booked this as our first activity in Australia, so we were both severely jet-lagged from roughly 24 hours in airplanes and airports when we started the tour. This was the perfect antidote for our lack of sleep. Jarrod was our tour guide and he did an excellent job of being informative, but still let the scenery speak for itself. Mount Field/Russell Falls was an excellent start to the tour, with an easy hike through tall trees and past waterfalls that were quite lovely, along with a few pademelons who greeted us on our way out! It was relaxed and easygoing, which was a fabulous way to start the day. Next, Bonorong was a fantastic way of getting up close and personal with Tasmanian wildlife. There were some absolutely delightful people at Bonorong who were clearly passionate about the conservation and preservation, and it made our experience all the more enjoyable. Richmond came next, and it was a very good place to cool our heels, and it was really nice to be able to spend time there without needing to rush. There were some really cute boutiques and picturesque views of the Richmond Bridge, and it was worth the stopover. Finally Mount Wellington provided some spectacular views! We lucked out with weather and it was sunny with a bit of haze due to brush fires, so we got some amazing photos of Hobart and its surroundings. There are a surprising number of scenic vistas at the summit, along with some neat historical facts to add to the experience. All in all, this was a really well thought-out tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Hobart and looking to spend a day exploring around southeastern Tasmania. We would love to do it again!
Full day of fun

Great day. Tall trees were fab. The wildlife sanctuary was a highlight. You can walk off path and feed them with the free “too food” in black boxes throughout the park. Leaned about other critters, too. And we had a great day in Richmond and perfect mountain weather. Get the scallop pie at the Richmond bakery. Simon was a boss and dropped tip to check out “Franko”, the Friday summer festival in Hobart. I would have otherwise missed that goodness. Really great doe those with just a limited amount of time in Hobart.

Terrific Taste of Tassie

Wonderful full day of exploring on this tour. Introduced to Callum our driver & guide...a lovely young fella that did his best to keep us on time lol. Mt Field & the Tall Trees...astonishing. Russell Falls, beautiful. Richmond...an absolutely delightful little place that really requires more time to explore than what can be given on this particular tour, Bonorong a lifeline for creatures of the wild. Mt Wellington...spectacular views on a day that was perfect. Great day out!

This tour was fabulous, it was spread out nicely during the day and did not feel rushed. Our tour guide Gary was lovely from the moment we meet to the end of the day, he took care of all of us and had so much interesting information about all the destinations we visited and passed. It was a small tour which was nice and intimate. I would highly recommend this tour if you had limited time in Hobart and it is a nice way to spend time in the outdoors and see what Hobart has to offer.

Excellent day out

A great day. You should take the long walk at Mount Nelson as it is not strenuous and very beautiful as long as you can descend some stairs. The nature reserve is great. Guaranteed to see all kinds of animals especially Tasmanian Devils.
Great driver/guide. Can't remember his but he was a young guy.
Katharine_E, Feb 2024
Richmond was very interesting but I think you need more time. It was a bit rushed. The animal sanctuary was good. It was my first time seeing a Tasmanian Devil.
