Head out into the Anderson Lagoon to see enchanting bioluminescent plankton light up the water with this Sittee River trip. Your guide will take you into the mangroves by boat, where you'll get to see this enchanting natural phenomenon up close and personal. Like northern lights but in the water!!

Getting to see the wake from the boat glow blue was amazing!! The guides were hilarious and knowledgeable. They kept us laughing the whole time. It was so cool to see fish darting around glowing blue, touching the water and making it turn blue, and a couple people jumped in and swam! Be sure to wear your swimsuit so you have that option! We wished we had known that

Very dissapointing trip. Trip was supposed to start at 6:00. There was very little to no communication where to meet. Was suppose to meet at Mangrove resort and marina. It was a hidden gated place. Gate was shut. We finally figured out to push a little door bell to let us in. Gate keeper did not seem very pleasant. When he did let us in after we told him what we were here for, he did not tell us where to go or where to wait. Our guide showed up 30 minutes late with out letting us know so we did not even know we were at the right place. We had to call our viator tour operator to get in touch with him, and found out he was in a boat and did not even acknowledge our presence until the viator called him. When the tour started he told us of all the animals and other things we would see and the same as their ad did. But in the end the only thing we saw was a baby blue herron which are already all over the place. They packed us in the tiny boat with 13 other people. The only thing that was even remotely interesting was the glowing water when agitated. And it does not glow as much as the pictures show. I was bored the entire trip and felt completely ripped off and lied to. Don't waste your money, I would have rather stayed at my beach side vrbo. P.S if the do decide to go on this boring tour you can book it cheaper through Belizing.com. ($25 dollars per person less).

Hi Brian Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Bioluminescence Tour. we're sorry your experience did not meet your expectations. This is a night tour and sunset in April is 6:30 PM here in Belize. We recently changed the departure time and updated all our customers. You may have missed that part in the confirmation email. Out boat capacity is 12. so there is no way we could have fit 13 passengers plus your party of which consist of 2 passengers. While the review did not match the service and experience we offer, we use the feedback to make us better

This was a fantastic experience! The sunset was lovely but even better when it became dark. The stars were incredible and the bioluminescent lagoon was a once in a lifetime experience. Our crew was so friendly and knowledgeable. This was fabulous in every way!!

Once in a life time experience. Was way above our expectations. Medz and Jeff were amazing tour guides and extremely knowledgeable and observant to find different wild life. Definitely recommend.
