Traveler Tips

This is the highlight of many people’s trips to the space centre so it was frustrating to miss it.
By doing so, it would be faster getting in, and people would have the entire day until 5 PM to tour the space center.
The Houston Space Center is a must see; however, more presentations would enhance the experience.

Houston in a day!
RICHARD_E, Mar 2024
Great tour of Houston!! Space center was amazing but should be scheduled early in the day so you can reserve your spot on the tram tours. Everything was sold out when we arrived.

The tour guide for the Houston City Tour was AWESOME, and it was very interesting to learn about Houston's history! The NASA Space Center was amazing, of course!
Houston easy

Sitting back and being escorted around Houston and having someone do all the driving to the Space Centre which would have been scary to me
Priceless

Very interesting, informative, educational visit to National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Space Center Houston.
Houston in one day
teresa_k, Feb 2024
The space center is definitely worth the visit! Our guide was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Thanks!
Disappointing
DAVID_S, Feb 2024
The bus trip was quite good The driver (Yolanda) out and back to the space centre was fabulous The reason for only a 3 though is By the time we got there the included tram trips were booked out which was very disappointing. Knowing we had bought the tickets in advance we would have expected to have had our tram trips booked so we didn’t miss out 4.5 hours is a very long time to be stuck there with no tram tours
Response from Host, Feb 2024
Thank you so much for enjoying our part in your tour of the NASA Space Center . Tram Tours inside the attraction are controlled by the Space Center and are subject to their rules and regulations On our part, Was had a great time serving you!
nice combo of the city tour and nasa

You don't understand the scale of the Saturn 5 rocket until you stand next to it. The smallest of the three stages is huge!
Johnson space centre
Shona_C, Jan 2024
We went to the space centre on an organised trip, the weather was awful and got soaked on the trip around the space centre/town. I done the 3d ride into space you had to pay extra for this but it was totally worth it, great experience. There were a few talks on aspects of space life but some were at the same time so we didn’t get round them all due to being on an organised trip.
Rainy morning no issue
Kim_T, Jan 2024
Team went out of their way to make a rain morning a fantastic city tour. Drivers of city tour and then shuttle to space centers were great
This tour needs to be restructured
Anonymous, Jan 2024
Unfortunately the way this tour is structured means you see the city in the morning and by the time you get to the Space Centre (around 12:15pm) and start lining up in queues that are 100m long, the only part of the space centre you can tour is the space park which houses 2 old rusted rocket relics and one big old Spaceship in a shed. Very underwhelming for the effort and cost. The space training facility tours which apparently are the highlight of the Johnson Space Centre get booked out super early - so by the time you arrive you’re out of luck and your only option is to view the boring space park which you line up for around 1hr for. I’m dumbfounded why this tour isn’t reconfigured so the space centre was in the morning and city tour in the afternoon.
Would recommend a private/VIP tour instead
Luke_K, Dec 2023
The driver was very friendly. Unfortunately it was not a great experience. She spoke to the group (of all adults) as if we were very early elementary school students (education level and the tone/pitch of her voice), so the knowledge shared was surface level at best. She would make little sound effects during her descriptions that made you feel like you were watching a tv show for pre-school students… I would recommend a private tour if you want a educational experience and details of the actual history about the area. Once you get dropped off at nasa, you are on your own with the standard nasa staff. In this scenario, we were thankful for that because we were tired of being talked to like little children from the tour guide. However, I’d recommend a private/VIP NASA tour as well if you are not already super into that stuff. I’d have love to have someone to walk around with and get more in depth with some of the experiences.
Good experience - could have been better

Lot of crowd during holiday season but the tour guide helped with good tips to cover the tram tour first. However , was unable to cover other 2 tram tours due to ticket unavailability
Definitely 💯

Loved seeing through the eyes of an astronauts eyes as they look down on earth so amazing. To see what God has created for man to enjoy while here on earth. It's just a very small glimpse of what heaven will be like.
Nasa tour
Amber_E, Nov 2023
I thought the trip to Nasa was very informative and I learnt alot however we had such a short time there and could have done with a lot longer. We were dropped off at 1215 and picked up at 4.30pm! One of the tram tours was already booked up so was a little disappointing
Space centre trip
peter_s, Nov 2023
Trip to space centre which I only took as I couldn't get public transport there. Thought the city tour was a waste of time and would have preferred to pay just for trip there and back at a lower overall price.
Response from Host, Nov 2023
Hello, thank you so much for your review, City tour is a complimentary option and focus on Art, History and city culture. We provided a hassle-free check in -comfortable waiting areas and to avoid lines and wait time at NASA, you got your NASA ticket in advance orientation, tram tours plus round-trip private transportation. Was great to serve you!

Houston Space Center
Alfred_R, Oct 2023
The space center exhibits were good, the folks doing short talks, the short films and the Independence Plaza excellent. Very unfortunate there were no tram tours, however Houston City Tours should have know that.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Thank you so much for your message, any tour inside the attraction in this case NASA is controlled only by the NASA staff and is first come first serve basis on our part was great to know you had a great time with our service.
