Well organised tour. The keep safari was fun, we enjoyed the camel ride and loved seeing the sun set over the hills. The meal and the Bedouin village was excellent. The star gazing guide was great and made a big effort to explain all the constellation. We got a fantastic view of the moon. There was a lot of waiting around for the camel at the beginning

racist tour
Lijuan_W, Feb 2024
The tour itself is very well organized. Activities, the sunset watcing, camel riding, star watching are good. Egypt is beautiful. Howerever the guide himself is rasit. The whole tour is maily in German, bit English. His attitude is rude to me and my son . Destroyed my trip and my whole impresdion of Egypt.
Not for the easily dizzied person

Most important thing is to know the car ride to the desert is complete torture. It’s a crowded Jeep and the circulation is bad. There’s no paved road to the desert, and thus the road is really bumpy. With the bad circulation and crowded environment, it’s a recipe for dizziness. I was really close to vomiting multiple times, and laid dead immediately when I got back to the hotel. The trip was made less memorable due to cloudly conditions, which leads to bad sunset and bad stars. The camel ride and village was okay at best. I think the knowledge of stars by the tour guide was pretty great, but the trip getting there is just really too difficult for me.
Clear skies

Very well planned trip. Perfect timing for sunset and star gazing. Very well informed guide who pointed out all our star signs and other constellations
Lovely afternoon out

All of the guides were lovely and friendly. Explained everything really well and the stars were absolutely amazing
A must do trip to experience life in the desert and the stars at night

Driving across the desert in a 4x4 jeep, Meeting the Bedouin people, who made us very Welcome and prepared us a delicious meal. Star gazing was an amazing experience. Thoroughly recommend this trip
One of the best things you’ll ever do.

The trip was so romantic, the off roading is incredible in a Toyota Land Cruiser, hang on it’s bumpy! If you go during winter like we did, wrap up warm.. we was freezing! Your greeted with tea when you arrive at bendouin village then take a walk in some sandy hills so you need good footwear! Once at the top you watch the sunset go down before having some lovely food and the tour Gide then explains the starts to you while all sat round a campfire. Singing a few songs is so wholesome and finally finish the night with looking through some telescopes at the moon and Saturn. Araby (the guide) is fantastic at what he does. Cant recommend this trip enough and moussa is a great off road driver! it’s safe and secure and worth every penny! I choose to purpose to my finance while the sun set and it was a beautiful moment.
Overall good experience- not enough telescopes
Arthur_W, Jan 2024
Lovely experience, but not much time actually spent looking at the stars through the telescope, only 3 telescopes for a lot of people, having to que. however the short camel ride was a good experience and drive into the desert was pretty cool. Would be better if there was many telescopes available. Overall still a good experience and good value- also food was nice.
Once in a lifetime experience !

Where to start?! Pickup was faultless, then all met at checkpoint where we met with met with the other groups. Moussa the guide, astronomer, knowledgeable and experienced was absolutely amazing in making everyone feel welcomed. The trip to the desert was fun and bumpy! As soon as you arrived, camel ride for 3-5 minutes, then tea which was followed up by the watching the stunning sunset! Now, here comes the best part! Dinner was epic, Moussa throwing some vocals around the fire in such a picturesque atmosphere! About telescopes were already set, each pointing at a planet and we queued up to watch! Finally, it was time to go home but just before, Moussa showed us all the constellations and zodiac! All I gotta say, this is an experience of a lifetime! Don’t think, book it because I’ll be back to do it again! Thanks MOUSSA!
Fly me to the moon
Yule_L, Jan 2024
This stargazing trip is definitely a perfect and wonderful journey, and it is also an excellent window to experience traditional life in the Egyptian desert. Thanks to the tour guide for telling us the story behind the singing at the campfire party. Finally, if I had to put a song to accompany this stargazing trip, I think it should be fly me to the moon.
Just the ride to the...
Evelyn_S, Jan 2024
Just the ride to the desert was already worth it. The calm, beautiful setup for tea and dinner was lovely and seeing so many stars was amazing.
Amazing good fun
Russell_W, Jan 2024
Fantastic experience, was amazing to see the desert and watch the sun go down. Our driver was a real adventurer who drove us fast across the desert so we could feel all the bumps in the road, it was an amazing experience and all of us in the back of the jeep loved it. Sadly it was cloudy for our star gazing but the knowledge of our guide was great and made up for not having as great a view. Overall an amazing experience!
Great content, poor execution
Peter_C, Jan 2024
There's lot of great content within this package and it is worth it for the £17. However, we almost didn't go as the driver signalled my wife and I would be sitting up front, in the passenger seat, both of us! He said it was a two seater, it 100% was not! The group size is huge, we'll over 50, means a lot of queueing to look through telescopes, which then makes the star gazing a rushed exercise. Camel ride is nonsense, again you'd have to queue for a long time to ride the camels about 10m, pointless.
Great for star gazing
Alan_T, Jan 2024
Basically the best part is the jeep safari and the is peripheral and honestly a bit boring.....lots of sitting round. waiting. The camel trek is 10 metres there and 10 metres back. Driver was a good laugh. It was worth the money, would have prefered more time star gazing.
Tour operator really does not matter. All the same.
Niels_V, Jan 2024
The tour operator really does not matter. We booked a supposedly high quality one (via TripAdvisor) and then met with six other operators at a meeting point. From there depending on language, people were divided, and we all went off to the "bedouin" village. Really just a hut and the touristic setup to cater for a 3min camel ride and sitting in some make shift booths for the BBQ dinner. After that all (together ac. 50 people) gazed through the same three telescopes with the English and German speaking guide explaining everything. And back home. So nothing to complain, but the actual tour operator does not matter. Oh, and when not booking via platforms you can probably save a lot of money as these platforms take about a third of the profit.
Great Star gazing but be warned...
Lisa_D, Jan 2024
I went on this excursion back in November. I had a great time BUT ...BE WARNED...the vehicle they use is NOT a jeep. They used an old Toyota Land Cruser for my excursion. The back of the vehicle was fitted with two benches and they packed 8 of us into the back with no seat belts. It was not safe and I didn't feel comfortable at all, we also got stuck in the sand for about 40 minutes. On the upside, the star gazing portion was beautiful. We got to use their telescopes to see the planets and stars. The guides were also great and very knowledgeable. We had dinner in the dessert as well which was surprisingly very nice, food was great. Getting to the desert was terrible but once we got there it was quite nice
Krzysztof_L, Dec 2023
Wow!!! Big wow!! All was good what was big surprise for me. I have expected machine to make money but we get something very relaxing. Night with the stars over the desert, good food, fantastic guide, interesting stories, good organisation, nice staff. Big wow!!!
The stars made it worth it.
Natascha_R, Dec 2023
Absolutely loved the stars! Our guide Adam explained everything very wel and I learned a lot! Would have liked more time under the stars though.. it was way too short. I loved seeing jupiter and saturn up close, but would have loved to see more! Also really enjoyed the offroading part, but you have to love the thrill, cause you're being shaken all over the place. If you'd like a crazy driver, Ahmed is your man! As an offroad driver myself, he impressed me with his skills! But like I said, you have to love the thrill. We had 2 groups, 1 german, 1 english but we were put together 90% off the time, which means we had a group of at least 30 people, which felt way too crowded for me. Why not split the group completely? It made me feel like I needed to hurry all the time, cause there was a big line behind the telescopes. It also wasn't a romantic dinner, you had to share the tables, so most people didn't sit at the table and ate in the dark. The german guide kept explaing for the whole group, but his english was hard to follow and he talked really fast, switched to german and back to english in one sentence, which made it even harder to follow, While our english tour guide talked perfectly english and took his time. So that didnt make sense at all. Over all I enjoyed my trip, but I would have loved it more if it was a smaller group and if we had more time under the stars.
Offroad and astronomy adventure - two in one
Noemi_H, Dec 2023
It was a great adventure. In addition to star watching with our astronomer guide Arabi, we enjoyed exciting offroad experience with Ahmed - a professional driver with great sense of humour. The beduin camp is hosted by a friendly family of six. Highly recommended.
Starry, starry night🌠🌌
Elaine_D, Dec 2023
The journey out in the jeep! The food, considering we were in the desert was great, the toilet was an experience🫣. Singing around the camp fire was lovely and the camel ride and then finally , the actual star gazing with the experienced and so, so, knowledgeable Moosa, was brilliant!
An unforgettable experience!
Elysia_H, Dec 2023
I loved this experience! The guide Adham (not sure how you spell it!) was so knowledgeable and pointed out the constellations you could see on that night. It was such a beautiful setting, laying on the desert floor looking up at the stars. We were also really lucky to see a shooting star! I was a bit worried about the food after reading some review but it was the best food we have had since being in Egypt!
