Awesome Tour Day with David

We had booked with David on Oct 13th and had a wonderful day! We did a tour at Glen Moray and visited/did tastings at Benromach, Cardhu, Ballindalloch, GlenAllachie, and Glenlivet. David was really helpful in recommending smaller distilleries to check out and had a lot of knowledge to share. We had pre-arranged Glen Moray and wanted to visit Glenlivet but we were otherwise flexible. David even took us to see some highland cattle near Cardhu and had carrots to feed them! I would definitely recommend booking with David to friends or family or any couples or small groups wanting a unique experience, it was totally worth it and a highlight of our trip! Thanks David!

A lovely Speyside whisky tour

David not only has shared a lot of knowledge about whisky and the distilleries in the Speyside with us during the tour, but has also provided us with a lot of tips for booking distillery tours/ tasting sessions as well as recommendations on restaurants in advance to ensure we could get the most out of our trip. His love and passion for the highlands has absolutely made a difference. Not to mention he’s also a very good driver. I’m prone to motion sickness but I didn’t experience it at all when in David’s car even after several rounds of whisky tasting. No doubt we had a lovely day out with David and would highly recommend him to everyone.

What a memorable trip! I got to do the things I wanted to do such as distillery tours, tastings, and even got to hand fill a bottle at Glendronach. David accommodated all my requests and was such a good company. He’s also very knowledgeable about whisky and that helped. I paid for two people as that was the minimum but there was actually only me during the tour. This really gave it a personal feel and I was able to take my time and make stops at scenic spots above and beyond the distillery tours. I highly recommend David to all whisky enthusiasts! Places visited: Cardhu (distillery tour and tasting), Glendronach (tasting and personal bottle hand filling), Chivas/Strathisla (tasting), Glenfiddich (gift shop stop).

Our group of three went out with David, who was extraordinary. Our original plan needed adjustment because of a festival in Speyside, but David helped us chart a new course with great results. We visited four distilleries, including a tour we'd organized ahead, and also stopped for a castle ruin that David told us about (and tea). We also found lunch along the way. David was very flexible and full of helpful suggestions. Besides the whisky, David was excellent company and a lot of fun to talk to over the course of nearly 9 hours. You'll have an excellent day out - don't hesitate!

This was an awesome tour ! Days before we were set to take this tour, we were contacted by David ,our tour guide, to ask us if there were any particular distilleries that we wanted to visit. My reply was " surprise us !" David picked us up at our hotel in downtown Inverness promptly at 9 am. We then planned our day. He gave us suggestions of which distilleries to visit, and together we mapped the day out. During the 8 hours that we spent with him, we visited 6 distilleries. We were able to do so many because we didn't do any distillery tours. However, if you want to do tours, David will pre-book a reservation for you. My husband and I shared all of the tastings except for the last one because we didn't want to get too "pissed". ( Scottish slang for intoxicated . LOL ). We did do a very interesting tour of the Speyside Cooperage and got to watch the coopers repurpose the North American white oak barrels. Throughout the course of the day, we enjoyed many lively conversations with David regarding Scottish way of life, history, politics. He provided water and biscuits for us. This was a great way to taste a lot of terrific Scottish whiskys, and see some beautiful countryside, too . I highly recommend this tour !! You won't be disappointed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
