Jamaica’s Great River is a peaceful slice of paradise that immerses you in the island’s calming nature. Discover the healing properties of herbs, ferns, and other elements of local culture during this rafting experience. You’ll ride down the Great River on an 30-foot handcrafted bamboo raft, sampling fruits along the way. Get off the raft and settle in for a limestone foot massage before enjoying an optional local lunch.

Once you arrive at the community of Lethe, at the Round-a-bout (circle) Make the left turn. Rafting site will be visible from the bridge. Always ask for Juicy as he is the rafting dispatcher.

Your pick up information will be sent via email within 24 hours of your tour. We meet all guest at their hotel main lobby. If you are at a hotel with multiple lobby, let us know. Example Riu reggae and Riu Palace or Secret St James and Secret Wild Orchid. MONTEGO BAY HOTELS ONLY
What To Expect
First, enjoy a seamless pickup from your hotel. From your departure point, get settled onto your handcrafted bamboo raft and start gliding down the Great River.
Sample a variety of delicious fruits along your journey, then enjoy a relaxing limestone foot massage. If you're feeling fancy, take the opportunity to upgrade to a full-body massage.
After experiencing the power of local herbs and Jamaican culture, continue to float along the water. Then, discover some local treats when you try some jelly coconut and sugarcane. Finally, stop at an eatery to indulge in the tantalizing flavors of the local cuisine.
As your adventure comes to an end, relax during the transfer back to your accommodation.

The river rafting experience was amazing. I really enjoyed the time spent today our bus driver was kind and on time and made the experience wonderful but I think the best part of the day was our raft tour guide- named(Strong) super informative, knowledgeable, respectful and helpful…
He even went out of his way to create a rum punch for us while we were on his raft, and let us sample everything before he mixed it….. there’s fruit and hand made jewellery, souvenirs and clothes also there for purchase for very reasonable prices.
Would definitely recommend.
Also, don’t forget to bring your tips, this experience you will encounter people who work off tips.

This experience was fun,my guide was the best! I was solo, he made it relaxing as well as upbeat and fun. The limestone massage was the best ever! I got the full body massage and no regrets! Highly recommended.

I did not enjoy this excursion. The pictures people posted made it appear to be more fun than what it really is.. Once you get on the raft you travel a couple feet down stream and stop for pictures.. after that they complete the limestone massage and then bring you back. The captain who steered the raft was lively however for the amount me paid there should have been more to do.

We're dejected to learn that, you did not enjoy our rafting experience. The pictures other travels post is base on their experience on their level of fun. Therefoe you can't use your experience to judge theirs.
Its actually two stop one for the pictures, rum punch, coconut etc and off again to the bottom for the massage.
We are happy to know our raft captain was lively and I would assume did his best to ensure you guys had a wonderful experience. You have to bring your energy for a great experience. You could've also xplain to your captain what type of tour you wanted. For example a party vibes or a relaxing educational tour.
As for the amount you paid, what do you think is a fair price for round trip transportation and the Rafting Experience? You paid $90usd per person at the time of booking. Also noticed you cancelled your reservation 3 times and rebook a fourth time.

I loved this, it is a short ride in the river but our guide Pierce massage me with the lime stone. He was a funny guy, if you get him as your
Captain. Just know he flirts a lot .. Hahaa. Once he massaged me, I swam in the river and enjoy the relaxation. He was awesome! The river water is definitely colder then the beach water but it’s a beautiful experience and very relaxing. So it was for me. I recommend just Dnt expect a long river ride. I each captain is different and each experience is different. I loved it.

Loved it! It was more about the overall experience than the actual rafting. The rafting part is short and has a lot of stops. River is crowded with lots of people, all playing their own musc so kind of noisy and not peaceful as expected. However, our guide, Strong, was knowledgable and informative. Gave a great limestone massage. The scenery is amazing. It's a very special experience!

A very fun excursion. Felt like I truly had a cultural experience. Our captain, Big Shrimp was excellent. He provided history about the river and he was very entertaining as well a great masseuse. Would definitely book this again.
