Overview

The 3rd largest barrier reef in the world is yours to explore just off the shores of Key Largo. Grab your swimsuit and sunscreen for a half-day snorkeling adventure. You’ll board a stunning 45-foot catamaran and sail to the only living coral reef in the United States. Snorkeling equipment is provided so you can see the abundant sea life in the Florida Marine Sanctuary.

We are located within the Amoray Dive Resort at mile marker 104 bayside in Key Largo, FL. Please come into the reception area one-half hour before departure to check-in.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

All of the crew were friendly and attentive. They provided us with a great experience to see the wonderful coral reef. One of the family said it was a once in a lifetime experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Great 2 snorkel site experience

Half Day Snorkeling Trip

Great Snorkeling. - Beautiful My only criticism is that the description lists the adventure as a half day snorkeling trip. We had more divers than snorkelers . The trip seemed to be more centered around taking care of their needs . The equipment also took up most of the seating on the boat. Had we known this, we may have chose a different option .

Great time with the kids, beautiful reefs and amazing crew!

Captain G!! Amazing time, great crew, beautiful reefs! I went with my 2 daughters who are 14 and 15. Water temp was great for us (New Yorkers!), about 74°, beautiful water and we were well taken care of. Thank you, guys!

My most memorable experience of the trip was forgetting to take my jacket off with my wallet in the unzipped pocket. It is a miracle the wallet did not fall out along with my driver's license and thus my ticket home. It was encouraging to see a live coral reef, and amazing to view the Christus statue. The entire team was extremely attentive and helpful. Though we were the only snorkelers, it was informative to go with others who were scuba diving as well.

Got to snorkel with...

Got to snorkel with several green sea turtles and two hawksbill turtles. We also got to see a moray eel. Of course, this was particularly luck, but the captain took us to two great spots.

We saw Spotted Eagle Rays, Green Turtles and a Reef Shark. Captain G was great and Max was thorough with his explanations. Snacks on the boat were a nice treat.

Best snorkel ever!

Captain Kevin and First Mate Aaron were awesome and accommodating. The water was beautiful and bathtub warm. We saw lots of beautiful sea life including my absolute favorite the Spotted Eagle Ray. This was my best snorkel yet. Amoray is definitely my favorite snorkel/dive outfit. They are very professional and have their stuff together.

A Tour for Divers, Not for Snorkelers

Respectfully, this was the most lackluster snorkel tour of which I have ever been a part because it was not a snorkel tour but a dive tour that allowed snorkelers to tag along. (This would have been helpful information to know prior to booking the tour.) I have snorkeled in both Mexico and Puerto Rico in the past, and both of those experiences were dedicated snorkel tours that took you to shallow reefs where you could observe corals, fish, and other animals up close. While the captain and crew were pleasant, knowledgeable, and safe; this tour only took passengers to reefs that were 20-25 feet from the surface, so the only way to observe them closely as a snorkeler was to deep dive down, which is not feasible for some. With the exception of an up-close surface encounter with a beautiful sea turtle, there wasn't much to see on this tour. Overall, I would suggest that if you are a diver, book this tour, but if you are a snorkeler I would recommend booking with another company that is solely dedicated to accommodating snorkelers.

Most reefs throughout Key Largo range from 15-35 feet deep and all of the dive shops in the uppers keys go to these same reefs. It all depends on how high up the reef has grown in that specific area. Fantastic Reef Snorkel! Not for beginners!

The crew was fantastic! The boat was spacious and comfortable for the ride out. The rental equipment was a great quality and it really helped in the water. I would definitely recommend this for people who have been snorkeling before. It was too advanced for the kids on board. Also if you get motion sick, prepare for the ocean making you sicker than the boat.

Great excursion with the wife
