Your underwater tour either begins in the early morning or afternoon, depending on which half-day tour slot you select. Make your own way to the start point in Key Largo. There, you’ll meet your guide and get familiar with your snorkeling gear—everything you need is provided for your convenience. Then, set sail on the turquoise waters of the Florida Keys.
Your destination is Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park: the only living coral reef in the United States, and a one-of-a-kind destination. While still on board, learn all about the wealth of wildlife that you’re likely to discover there.
Thanks to your guide’s local knowledge, you’ll head to several different dive sites where you’re most likely to enjoy good visibility and reef access. Swim near tropical fish and have the special chance to discover this unique marine habitat.
Once you’ve gotten back on the boat and returned to the departure point, your experience ends.

Captain John and the staff at Pirates Cove water sports were fantastic. Trip was great and John made sure we went to best location for best visibility. We got to snorkel in two spots and all the equipment was in great condition. Would definitely book with Pirates Cove Watersports again!!

The location of the office is at a resort and difficult to find. The organization of who was going where and on what excursion was not clear. The water was ruff for snorkeling and ended an hour earlier than scheduled, with no refund offer.

It was canceled due to weather, but no one bothered to notify us until we were actually at the office when they opened at 8:30 AM

Captain Meg was great! She was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a small group which was nice, only six of us total. We went to two locations and saw tons of fish and even a ray.

We had a perfect day on the water! Captain Meg was the best. Tons of knowledge about the area, best places to snorkel and eco friendly education. She was funny and kids and adults loved her. She even stopped to get a floating out of the water teaching our kids the importance of treating the planet with TLC.
Hearing how much the company gives back to the community wad fabulous as well. What a great overall experience!

Captain John took us on a great snorkel trip. Even with the waters being a choppy, he clearly explained what to do and we had a great time. Saw lots of fish and sea turtles. Highly recommend this tour.

Peaceful trip. Two solid snorkeling locations. The family had lots of fun. This trip was much better than trying to snorkel from the beach.

Enjoyed the journey as well as the snorkeling! My 17 year old daughter said it was the best thing she's ever done. We saw lots of pretty fish, barracuda and even an eagle ray! Our captain was very knowledgeable and we felt we were in good hands.

Tanya at the reception desk was extremely rude. She made several snide comments. Then capt. Tony and she sat at the desk complaining about the last group of tourists and how stupid they were. They discussed how they could make more money from fishing. These people do Not belong in customer service jobs. No focus on the customer, only how to take advantage of tourists.

Located in the dive shop of the Reef House. We left promptly at 9am. Captain John was very engaging throughout the trip. We went to the reefs and it was absolutely beautiful. Took out time and never felt rushed at any point. We will be doing this again. Wonderful experience.
