What To Expect

Check in at the Sundiver Station in Key Largo at least one hour prior to your start time. Remember to bring your own snorkel or purchase a new one on-site at check-in.

Meet your guide and instructors and get fitted for all the equipment you need except the snorkel: a high-quality mask, fins or flippers, and safety vests.

Board your boat and relax while you head out to the best snorkeling spots among the reefs off Key Largo and the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary.

Beginners can get valuable instructions from the instructors, while more experienced snorkelers can swim where they wish and enjoy the time in the water. Spot colorful fish and sea turtles in the water.

After 1–2 hours of exploring and snorkeling, return to the Sundiver Station and head back on land.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Crew was really helpful getting on and off the boat, at both the dock and in the water. The whole experience was great, other than the water got a little choppy while we were snorkeling. I highly recommend the $25, dry snorkel— we never got water in our snorkel the entire time, even with the waves.

Good time - my family was happy!

It was a nice trip - efficiently conducted. Good for tourists inexperienced in snorkeling, for children and for those who want to spend a few moments on the reef without the impression of destroying the natural sanctuary and without the stress of excessive care of the guides. The team was very professional! Recommended.

Viator showed me this activity as an activity to do in Siesta key and the location for this activity is 4 hrs away. There is no way I could make this activity. The rating is not for this activity but viator's not able to check the location that I was searching for. I couldn't check the location as the address is provided after booking the activity and once tickets are issued.

Boat ride is great. Took my 8 & 11 yr old. Neither had any problem with the instructions or using the equipment. They have a noodle for every participant-almost everyone (including adults) used one-really helps you enjoy looking around. They have wetsuits to rent for $10 (but doesnt seem needed at all), also have magnified masks for $10 to rent for those of us who cant see without our glasses-worked amazing for me! Bring your own snorkel tubes or you have to purchase for $15 each. They do anchor the boat out in the middle of the ocean, which has very large waves & the boat rocks the whole time. I did get actually sick between that & the up/down of the ocean waves while snorkeling, but I still say this trip was worth it-saw lots of coral & fish. If you know you get seasick, this is not for you. It was a great adventure for the whole family!

Our trip was perfect, even our 5 year old had no problem. They take you to the best shallow reef for the day and we were able to see many amazing fish.

Capt Rick, Greg and Ally were great. Scoring was as good as Molokini off the coast of Maui. Was there last week. Crew had great suggestions for eating in Key Largo and Islamorada!

Brought family down to Key Largo, booking was good. Check in at one facility, drive to boat. (Not great, no working restrooms) another check in. Restrooms were Horrendous!!! Will not return. Paid $20 dollars per person more than John Pennecamp. Will admit boat was better. Crew was exceptional. Did not like shallow reefs. Not much to see.

Would use this tour again.

Our group had to ugh seas but saw so many fish!! Very fun. I felt very safe out on the open waters with the crew and captain. Well organized and got us all out snorkeling very quickly.

Everyone who worked for the company was fantastic, but Greg who actually assisted us on the boat was fantastic. If his boss is reading this whatever you’re paying him it is not enough he did a great job very personable and made my wife who was a little scared very comfortable. Thank you for an excellent time.

Description says perfect for beginners but we didn't get any explanation about how to actually snorkel. The 20 min talk about what not to do and where we were going and how to inflate our life vest was during the boat ride and was very difficult to hear on the upper deck and when we asked for what was explained, we got a 2 second version. We waited until everyone else got off and then asked for the how to info which they kind of seemed annoyed about.

The crew is fantastic. Knowledgeable, nurturing, patient, friendly. We got a foggy day and it had rained the day before so visibility wasn't great. But we saw lots of fish on the 3pm tour to the shallower dive spot. It was great. My 9&11 year old had a blast. I wish I'd gotten a thicker wet suit for my little guy. He gets cold easily. Bring some dry warm layers for when you get out. And bring cash to tip and buy sodas.

We didn’t make it to the reef due to a thunderstorm. What should’ve been a 2.5-3 hour trip was less than 90 minutes. I’m currently seeking a refund.

So the experience was a little bit questionable in how my fiancé was out with me in the water and was stung by jelly fish. Other groups of people were stung by jellyfish as well. They did not inform us about the jelly fish prior to going out to the sea. On top of that, the experience was not as personalized as I would have liked it to be. There was a large family with us and they were pretty much invaded our space the whole time on the boat. Almost disregarding our area and bags.

It was an amazing experience, but be advised that the "mask included", does not include the actual snorkel, so unless you have your own you have to buy it on the spot. According Sundiver Snorkel Tours, who actually runs the tours, Viator was supposed to specify that when we booked it over the phone. Either way it's all worth it, wish we didn't have the "surprise" expenses.
