Going fishing while in Key West is a must, and this deep-sea fishing tour takes you on a comfortable boat that can fit up to 60 passengers. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fisherman, your captain and crew helps you with your skills. Try to catch snapper, grouper, mackerel, or shark. A license and all bait are included, and restrooms are on board for convenience.

Absolute best fishing trip ever. Tony (Riga-a-Tony) was amazing and so was Angie. DJ and Ethan (chocolate chip and white macadamia nut) were extremely helpful courteous and fun. The ships pilot was nice and informative. All around good trip and lots of fish. Highly recommend and would definitely fish with them again. And Tony...Shannas was GOOOOOD!!

Crew were on top of everything. Made sure everyone was taking care of from bait to unhooking fish, etc. Plenty of room to fish even with a full boat. We were able to catch a variety of fish including grunts, snapper, yellow tail, porgies. Two of us even hooked up to 12 foot sharks. Overall it was a great trip and made some great memories with my son before he heads off to bootcamp!

We caught a wide variety of fish today. I personally caught lane snapper, grey snapper, yellow tail snapper, strawberry grouper and red grouper (unfortunately not in season).. One guy caught a 28” cobia!

We found Gulf Stream on trip advisor and booked it for our week trip to Key West. The staff communicated as we got closer to the trip on payment and answered any questions we had. When we arrived everyone was friendly and get us on board and fishing within an hour. On of the guides Ethan came over and talked to us and made sure we were comfortable fishing alone. He checked in throughout the trip and the captain came over to say hello and visit. Every time someone caught a fish a crew member came and unhooked them and labeled it so we knew who’s was who’s. They had snacks and beverages on the honor system and when we got back they filleted our catch so we could take it to a local restaurant to be cooked. Would 100% use them again and recommend anyone to fish with Gulfstream charters.

Worst crew I have been fishing with

I was assured a stern spot by the customer support staff at Gulf Stream when I requested for one and I was told not many had requested it. But on the day of the trip the captain and his mate were very uncourteous and told me the stern spot had been reserved for patrons that have been fishing with them for a long time. Then they offer me another spot that’s near the stern and tell me that’s a good spot. Then they don’t add chum close to my spot and only on the stern at the first stop. They tell me the location does not matter because the current is going to do the job spreading the chum when in fact there’s no current. They even mention mid trip there’s no current and offer someone that has not caught even one fish the stern spot and suddenly she starts catching a bunch. And they don’t offer her boyfriend a stern spot and leave him hanging by the bow. They reserve the best bait for the people they prefer. And they even offered only a select few shrimp and Bonita as bait. Such unprofessional crew. Beware if you want to have a fun day out in the ocean.

The crew were very helpful and knew the fishing spots. The total fish caught was about 25 between approx. 15 people. What I didn't like was this is not an all inclusive fishing trip. You pay your fee for fishing on the boat and then when you approach the shore the captain says the man who has been helping with the tackle does not receive any compensation except tips for his service so in other words you need to tip him. Also, when you get back to shore they make a big production about sorting the fish and then they make an announcement if you want them cleaned there is an additional fee. Also, if you want to take your fish to a local restaurant there is an additional fee for the restaurants to cook your fish. We have deep sea fished before in the Keys and there were no additional fees. Check the fine print before you book.
