What To Expect

Climb onboard the catamaran Marquesa, a spacious 69-foot vessel with plenty of deck space, on the water at Key West’s historic seaport. Enjoy the sun and sea breezes on this journey into the crystal blue waters off the coast for an exciting adventure.

Upon arrival at the Great Florida Reef, the only living coral barrier reef in the United States and the third-largest in the world, assemble the snorkeling gear and listen to a quick safety briefing with some basic instruction from the experts. Then it’s into the tropical water for swimming and snorkeling. The shallow reef waters are perfect for easy snorkeling. See more than 600 species of colorful fish, vivid corals, and other sea life. Watch for a wide variety of fish—parrotfish, angelfish, porcupine fish—plus turtles, lobsters, and plenty more.

Back on board, take a seat and kick back with a refreshing beverage—beer, wine, or soft drinks are included on this cruise. And keep an eye out for a pod of dolphins, which could appear next to the boat at any time.

The cruise concludes with a return trip to the Key West Seaport.

It was super windy/waving when we went so didn't really leave the mooring line. My 9 year old would have done better if there weren't waves but you can control that. With that being said we both had the best time. Well worth it even if we hadn't gotten in the water. The Boat ride was beautiful. Light lunch and drinks after was worth the money spent. So all in all I would totally recommend and will try it again. My daughter said she wished she would have gone out further but there is always next time!

The crew was great!!!!! The boat being a catamaran was very smooth in 3-4 ft waves. The only thing the as underwhelming was the reef and lack of fish. The other reef they go to had 5+ ft waves and we couldn’t go there. Other than the poor snorkeling, I was a great boat ride, drinks and music. I would do it again.

The current was so bad you could not swim anywhere. Waves were high and fought the current and did not snorkel. Many ppl ended up sea sick. They only go to one place and they have to know the current is like that at that time so should have an alternate destination.
