The long tail boat ride was great across the waters We visited James Bond Island 24 years ago and a much better experience The Government has made many changes the views are diapointing You use to walk through the rocksand be struck by how awesomethe view was looking at rising rock formations acroos the water Now you have to climb steep concrete steps and are surrounded by local vendors and a limited view of the one rock synomous with James Bond Disapointing Too touristy Lunch on the floating island was amazing

We totally agree, it is an unfortunate fact that tourism if not managed correctly can end up having a negative impact on the destinations it celebrates. The National Park in charge of the James Bond Island have installed the concrete steps in an attempt to improve safety and stop people from straying off of the path. However, as you say it does have a slight impact on the scenery as it is not as natural. As we usually arrive on the island fairly late, often the local vendors have packed up for the day when we arrive. We also agree that without the local vendors the island would be much more natural. The National Park permits them to open stalls on the island in order to create income for the villagers living in the bay. The James Bond Island is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Thailand. We do our very best to avoid the crowds and provide a more unique experience for our guests.

Wonderful Trip

This was an outstanding trip. Man, our guide was amazing and looked after us very well. With a small group it was very calm and enjoyable experience. Awesome places with great views, well timed sunset and not many people on James Bond Island, and we were the only ones dining at the fishing village. As it was our honeymoon, we received an unexpected bouquet of flowers and Man made sure we have some romantic photos. We highly recommend this experience and if you get Man as your guide you will be in for a treat.

Fabulous entertaining trip. Our guide 'Man' was interesting, quirky, enthusiastic and helpful. Just the right amount of time at each stop. Guide was happy to show us around or let us wander off as we pleased and happy to take photos. Highly recommended trip at a fair price for what we got. Just want to mention that we had a superb group of people to travel with x

Excellent trip beating the crowds!

We decided on a private tour and it was excellent! We beat the crowds and got to enjoy all the locations without the hustle and bustle. Kiwi and the team were excellent throughout! We had our own private photoshoot on the James Bond island with Kiwi, she was like a professional! Amazing place to visit would highly recommend!

Good tour - long way to go so was a long day out. Tour guide - Garfield was great. A little disappointed with the island - not quite what I expected. Did not get that much time on the island - was a little rushed. Good day had by all though. Great group of people.

Absolutely gorgeous experience - we booked the private tour and it was totally worth it....every aspect of the tour was customized to our requirement and there was no rush at any stage....the Buddha temple at Wat Suhan Khuha is magnificent; the long tail boat ride thru' the mangroves to James Bond Island is beautiful and the James Bond Island itself is a must-see! The perfect end to our tour was a visit to the floating village of Koh Panyee - where we had adelectable authentic Thai dinner and then strolled around the village and also got a chance to see the famous football field of Panyee FC... Special call out to our guide Krishana whose knowledge and patience in explaining the different aspects of local history and culture made the day even more special.... I would highly recommend this tour!

The best tour ever

This was a fantastic tour, worth every cent. Garfield, our guide showed us so much. The temple cave, the monkeys, the long boat ride out to James Bond Island and then back to a extravagant dinner on Fisherman's Island. Garfield made sure he took our photo all the time. A wonderful afternoon out which missed the crowds.

We were super surprised by how much we saw in one day. This is an amazing tour. The tour guide is super knowledgeable and tells you everything. I had a fantastic tour and Boy was a great guide. I was travelling solo and Boy helped me take photos in front of all the sights, and helped me spot a baby monkey! I learnt a lot about Thai culture and nature, and I was really impressed by the companies environmental focus. The scenery was stunning. Would highly recommend this tour.

This trip was fantastic! Our guide, Garfield, was so engaging and funny and took great photos for us! We learnt lots on this trip and saw breathtaking scenery and we loved the late start because we avoided the crowds! Dinner at Panyee was delicious and relaxed! Definitely recommend!

Afternoon tour - great to avoid the big crowds at James Bond Island

By choosing this afternoon tour, we could avoid the big crowds at James Bond Island. When we arrived there late afternoon, there were not many people anymore. For the excellent dinner at the floating village at Ko Mai Phai we had the entire restaurant for ourselves. Our tour guide Garfield is extremely helpful and knows how to take cool pictures of the tour members.

Wonderful experience

An amazing trip with our fantastic guide Boy. We got to experience everything when it was a little quieter rather than full of tour groups. The tides are low at this time so if you want to swim at James Bond island this is not the best tour for you. We got to see the fishing village when they had closed up shop and locals were living their every day lives. Dinner was delicious and we had a beautiful view with the whole place to ourselves. Boy was so friendly and knowledgeable, he made sure our trip was full of fantastic memories (and he's a great photographer)!

Excellent tour which exceed expectaions

We had a fantastic day out, and were looked after superbly by our your guide Kiwi (apols for inevitable spelling error) She was an excellent guide, full of knowledge and answered all our questions Logistics of tour were excellent...nice mini bus, drinks provided, Kiwi organised / rang ahead so museum staff, long boat, food at Koh Panyee were all waiting for us and whole day was seamless No point in reviewing the actual atttractions here as that's covered in detail elsewhere and generic to all tours, so just a few specifics to this tour - going to Koh Ping Kan(Bond island) in the afternoon is a big win, much quieter and so better able to enjoy, take good pics etc - food at Koh Panyee restaurant is exceptional, and loads of it - Kiwi added lots of great extras - bought some Thai desserts, took our long boat into caves, stopped at a night market, walking tour of Koh Panyee etc

Good tour but watch the tides!!

Transport, tour guide & organisation of the day were all great. If I'm honest the boat trip to James Bond Island was better than the island itself. It is busy & highly commercialised with tourist shops etc. The only thing that spoilt the day was totally out of the tour company's control..the tides. There was an extremely low tide when we went which meant that you could not swim in the bay on the island as it was muddy. The stilted village was stilted on mud rather than water & we could not see one the caves as the water was too shallow for the boat to get through. My advice, do this tour if the tide is right!
