Great day trip tour for history lovers

I loved this tour and it was exactly what I was looking for. You get picked up in a nice bus from KL, drive to Malacca and learn about the history on the way, then the guide shows you around some of the historical sites where you learn about them. Finally, you get free time after lunch to wander which was amazing, the city is so cute and this was a great way to end the day. The guide Johnson is awesome too, he knows so much and is very entertaining!

Average tour. Very little information given by guide and poor instruction given during the day leading to some members of the group to be left behind. Some key instructions such as meeting points and times would have gone a long way. Lunch was fine. Pick up in the morning was good, perfectly on time. Bus was comfortable. Melaca is teeming with tourists, just something to keep on mind.

Fun Trip to Melaka

Many historical sites as well as a huge number and variety of museums. We had a great guide Johnson who kept us well informed and was very clear on his instructions to us. My purpose for taking the excursion was to get a taste of Melaka and what I saw was enough to make me want to go back for a longer visit. By the way the bus was very comfortable and the driver was excellent. Also enjoyed the included lunch. Thank you for the experience. Mike 😁

Great to see Melacca with ease

The time we were given to walk around by ourselves i the afternoon in Melacca . The lunch is very good . The guide is good but quite hard to understand stand due to accept and frustrating in morning not being allowed to leave group .However good toser Melacca and be picked up and dropped off at hotel so very easy day which I would recommend.

The best part of this tour was absolutely our guide Stephen. He has an immense knowledge about the history of Malaysia and he explains it in a simple whay that everybody can understand. The tour Bus was very comfortable and clean. The tour provides a good price performace ratio.

I had made arrangements to meet the tour group in Malacca, since that's where I'm staying. I was told the night before via Email that I would be picked up at St Peter's at 10am by a van that would then take me to the bus to start the tour at 10:30. I was there at 9:45 to make sure I wasn't late, and I waited for over an hour until the bus (no van) showed up at 10:45. And now the people are going to look at Saint Peter's, which I already saw while I was waiting for them, so I'm waiting another 15 or 20 minutes. So they made me sit here in the heat for an hour because they sent me the wrong information about the rendezvous, and obviously the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. You guys need to get your act together. I told my guide about it, but he didn't seem to give a damn, and said nothing more to me about it, not even a customary apology. All he said was "it's not my fault". As a "guide", he didn't offer any information about the history of Malacca that I hadn't already learned by watching one YouTube video. My rating – lowest possible. My review – unorganized, uncaring, uninteresting. A poor job all around. I'm very disappointed. I'm not a whiner, and I've done dozens of tours like this all over the world. To be unorganized is inexcusable; to ruin a paid customer's day because of it and then not care is inexplicable.

A big thanks to our knowledgeable guide Johnson - he told some great and interesting stories. I personally would have preferred a little more time than the 2 odd hours we had in Melaka proper - the Christian Church isn’t a must see in my eyes. Also, a little more stories along the way would have been nice to get to know Malaysia better. Other than that, it was a wonderful day in a wonderful city.

This was such a wonderful, eye-opening, and enjoyable tour around Melaka. Our tour guide, Mr. Johnson did a fantastic job throughout the tour. He is an easy going, flexible, knowledgeable, and a delightful tour guide who in simple language explained to us about the sites we visited on this day tour. We booked this tour without any prior awareness of Melaka (except it being a tourist spot) and still had a great time because our guide filled in all the knowledge gaps and made it as pleasant as possible. Plus, the meals served at the restaurant taken to by the guide for lunch tasted delicious and fresh. All in all, an easy 10/10.

The historic fortress, the Dutch churches and Administration, the river cruise, the offered food of local tastes, the visit to the Chinese Temple made this tour interesting. The driver Hussein was experienced and the guide very helpful.

Full day tour, the ride back was four hours long because of traffic.

Melaka is a lovely city with so much colorful history. The tour guide Johnson is so knowledgeable and through him I learned so much about Melaka and Malaysia. Not only is the tour educational, it is also well organized and so reasonably priced. Definitely a worthwhile tour.

A knowledge filled and engaging day tour with the most delicious nonyang cuisine that kept me raving about the food for a while! Guide Doughlas is not just any guide but an intellectual in the field of history who knows the history of Melacca and Malaysia in general at the back of his hand. I got to see churches, mosques, temples and museums all on the day along with some interesting architecture. I totally recommend the tour. Make sure you wear a hat and sunblock all the time since the day sun is pretty harsh
