Unexpected trek back in history.

This was a fascinating experience. Our guide was Cajun and she thoroughly explained the different cultures that make up the area. She told us the history of each building as well as the French words. I highly recommend taking the tour as the explanation made everything come together.

Really enjoyed this trip. Learned a lot I never knew about the Creoles and the Cajuns. The buildings were very interesting to see.

We enjoyed the walk around Vermillion Village and it's history. Guide was very knowledgeable of the history and even shared personal stories. It was only May, but very hot; only air-conditioning was gift shop at beginning and end; lots of sweating.

A very nice introduction to Acadian Culture.
