Traveler Tips

If you are going in winter bus tours are not heated and it can be quite cold so layer up.
That's ok if you're hopping off the bus, but it was a bit rainy and windy and most people were staying on the bus.

All good
Jess_S, Mar 2024
Typical hop on hop off tour, easy to find, if possible do it with the digital walking tour, i found out about that later and would have made some places visiting a bit more interesting but overall good value for money and good way to get around to all the hot spots
Laughing Down the Thames

We loved the River Cruise. The man providing narration was so funny and knowledgeable. We enjoyed champagne and looking at the scenery. Good times!
Satisfactory
Steven_L, Mar 2024
The stop 16 was not signed at all. The photo of the stop is not where the stop is. We walked until we saw the app. Location of the photo. The stop was actually a block ahead of us. We located the stop when we saw a bus stop there. GPS to the stops are not good at all. We visited Buckingham palace. And could not locate the stop recommended. Decided to walk to Green Park underground and noticed it was stop 1. Think this may be the neared stop to the palace. Those experiences were not good at all. Please make corrections or changes
A Wonderful Slice of London, at Your Fingertips
Jason_P, Mar 2024
This is a really good, really relaxing, way to explore London. You can use a headset and listen to a lot of details and interesting facts and history about the areas you pass through (offered in several languages). I highly recommend it for those who have mobility limitations especially.
Best time

Great time excellent guide. Lots to see, The whole family had a great time. Loved the church and the castle
Good but overpriced
Matthew_B, Mar 2024
I thought this was a good way to get an overview of the town and learn some interesting things. It definitely would be good for a family or if you are with people who have difficulty with mobility! I do think it is overpriced however which is why I give a lower rating and we didn’t end up using it that much since when we got to points of interest we just got off and explored on our own.

I wouldn’t know. We showed up for the tour, and the bus was not running. Rip off, stole my money. Never use Viator again.
Wonderful!
Shannon_M, Mar 2024
Fabulous way to see the sights of London! Very easy to navigate. The cruise was a lot of fun. Great view of the city from the river. I would highly recommend this to anyone touring London.
City Lights
Kari_W, Mar 2024
Great way to see the city. The city is very pretty and light up at night. Dress warm though, as it can get chilly.

Seeing London
Charlotte_M, Mar 2024
The boat ride on the Thames was great and the commentary was so enjoyed. The tour of London was good too. My only compliant would be the signs for the stops weren’t always easy to find and the number of the stop wasn’t displayed.
Spent more time waiting for the bus than on it.
CHRISTOPHERD_T, Mar 2024
Enjoyed being on the top of the bus to see the city. bus times too way longer than advertised. And the audio tour could have been more informative
London in a jiffy
Trevor_O, Mar 2024
The hop on/hop off bus is the best and easiest way to see all of the sights of London while being given an audio guide of what you’re looking at as well as several sidebar tidbits of interesting information.
Quick view of London
Amy_J, Mar 2024
We started our first day off on the bus to get oriented to London and stay awake. It's not the most exciting tour but did help us get a sense of the city.
Overall Experience
Deborah_L, Mar 2024
Using hop on hop off allowed us to take in so much in a small amount of time. Were able to see the whole London area and then decide on what areas to focus on.
Good tour little hick up
Glenda_C, Mar 2024
I would like to give Francesca with Top View bus tours who used to work with Big Bus Tour a big Thank You for saved me from havîng to pay for another ticket as i could not get a copy of my QR code ticket for your site. Saying that i would still recommend your tour company
Would Recommend Another Tour Group
Marissa_E, Mar 2024
1. Did not receive our tickets/QR code after we purchased them through Viator. Had to reach out to Big Bus for additional support the day of. 2. The Big Bus Representative at St. Paul’s Cathedral was unhelpful and unempathetic. It took us over an hour to get the QR Code and even after receiving them the representative didn’t print our ticket until we boarded the next day at the Tower of London. 3. The representatives at the stops are not helpful for those who bought their tickets online. They only care about helping sell tickets onsite. They come across very sale driven and obnoxious. 4. Some of the spot representatives required additional scans which came across as very rude and slowed the bus down. A better customer experience would be to have the scanner within the bus’s door that the riders could scan as they entered the bus. 5. Only providing one ticket for a group instead of individual tickets. If someone lost their ticket for their family they would have to repurchase tickets for the whole family. Since the tickets are not in the app then losing the paper ticket is a real possibility. 6. During our tour the buses were re-routed due to a protest. We understand that’s out of the control of your company but a push notification and updates on the app would have made a better customer experience.

I had to cancel the same day early am soon I knew that I cannot go. No problem for refund. Tks Viator. I have used Viator lot everytime I go aboard for years. Satisfied customer
A perfect way to get around London
Daryl_H, Mar 2024
My husband and I booked tickets for The Tower of London and later The Eye. The Big Bus was a perfect way for us to travel between the two sites. No Uber needed or tired feet, just a fun audio tour and site seeing. Thank you for a fun day in London.
Don’t Hop On!
Keoki_M, Mar 2024
The bus drivers were less than personable. It was random who they handed out earphones to. I did not have earphones but others did so I thought perhaps they upgraded their ticket. They did not announce each stop so I had no idea where I was. I had to look out the window to see if I could find the street names and then look on the map to see which stops were coming up to get my point of orientation.
