Note we do not guide inside Windsor Castle or the tourist venues in Bath on this tour you self guide at these sites but we will advise you on what do and when and the history before you enter. Then where and when to meet us after.

The adventure of a Lifetime

Were met promptly by Lee who was also in Starbucks with us when he heard us mention his name. Very personable and a wealth of knowledge. His information was far more than facts and figures but also gave context to what we were about to see. His van was stocked with water and was very comfortable on the way out. All the sites ran like clockwork, and we had plenty of time to experience the site and hit the gift shop without being rushed. regardless of the time frame shown on viator, London traffic doesn't always cooperate. he got us back to the hotel happy and excited for the next adventure. We all highly recommend Lee for any private group.

5 ladies - one superb guide

5 ladies from the US, taking a trip of a lifetime within the UK. Our driver, Peter, picked us up at our South Kensington hotel. He provided us with water for the trip. Peter is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and capable. The sun shone brightly at Windsor, and Peter photographed the Changing of the Guard for us while we conducted our tour. Next off to Stonehenge- gloomy and eerie there! Peter rode the coach with us from the visitor center up to the stones, and provided information about the site. He then took us to a delightful cafe nearby for our meal. This was absolutely a good decision for our group for a day out from our London itinerary.

The day before we were notified that our tour guide fell ill and a replacement was not available. However, Charles the owner/coordinator presented us with options and we selected to continue with the tour with a driver minus the guide. Even though we didn’t have a tour guide, Charles provided us with an itinerary and Calvin our driver was amazing and treated us like Royalty. This private tour is the way to go, especially if you want to see the sites, not be rushed, and not be exhausted after a long day. Highly recommend this tour. Only giving four stars because we didn’t have a tour guide.

Nik was a great tour guide. He really took the time to get to know our family and what interested us and then tailored the tour to make it fun for everyone. There was a good balance of learning and entertainment which isn't always easy with a 12 and 9 year old. We ended up doing Windsor, Stonehenge and Lacock, which was a full day and worked out well. We did a tour with another guide later in the trip and it wasn't nearly as good as our experience with Nik. You know that you have a great guide when the staff at many of the sites know and really like your guide AND you have other visitors at the sites trying to sneak into your group to hear what the guide has to say.

Tour guide was a good. But Stonehedge was closed the day of our tour. Despite it being a private tour of three places (Stonehenge being one), and paying for it accordingly, no refund or partial refund was given. We had a similar experience on another tour with the same company. We don’t trust this tour company and would rather use one of the others.

Oh dear what a shame when people feel the need to not tell the whole story!! You really need to take a long look at yourself when leaving feedback. Firstly you did all of Windsor Castle and the City of Bath fully and had extra time in Bath to make up for Stonehenge so no time was taken away from you and you saw extra sites in Bath we don’t normally get to show people. Your even say the guide was good and had a luxury V class tour van with bottled water, WiFi and phone chargers but you omit these points!! As for Stonehenge we do not own it!!!! And you are lying when you state you were not told, both our guide and Stonehenge owned by English Heritage told you verbally and via email they had closed the stones due to the high winds at the site at nearly 80mph!! You are also lying when you state Stonehenge has not refunded you the tickets. They emailed and told you they would automatically refund ALL tickets for that day within 10 days!!! The same as they have done for the thousands of tickets they sold for that day. We, or English Heritage, do not steal peoples money!!! Again we don’t own the sites. We have NO control over them and if they feel it is necessary to close due to safety concerns then again we must follow it. Also you have lied the third time stating you took a second tour with us . This is absolutely not true . You only booked this tour. Please show me the proof of the second tour you booked with us? I know you will not have it. My guide Peter did a wonderful job for you and is very upset you chose to leave such a terrible and untrue feedback. Please ignore this person please see all the feedback Peter actually gets from honest and understanding clients. I hope the helps clarify the truth, your one star review is insulting and undeserved you have done this to just hurt our excellent reputation and seek further money back which is not warranted and I will not be giving.

The guide, Peter, was knowledgeable and considerate. He paid attention to little details, for example, it was raining while we were standing in line to enter Windsor Castle, and as I reached into my pocket for the ticket with one hand, he immediately held up for me the umbrella that was in my other hand. He asked whether I would be more interested in viewing Roman baths (as planned on the itinerary) or Magna Carta. I said the latter, and he happily took me there instead.

Time Estimates are way off!

I understand that touring is not a perfect science but even on a good day, this itinerary seems impossible. As a private tour it is basically a driver who will take you to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge and whatever else the driver wants to show you. There is NO way we could have made it to Bath and back in the time left after the first two stops. It felt like the driver did not want to go to Bath for any reason and discouraged us. But I'm glad he did or we would have been out until 10 pm. His replacement was Salisbury Cathedral and a cute little restaurant and we were starving! I just wish the timing would be more realistic as we felt somewhat baited and switched. However the private nature of it and the day as it ended was great!

Hello Pepper thanks for writing the review. I am pleased you had a good day. But getting back at 10pm is clearly a huge exaggeration on your part and I do mean huge exaggeration. The tour listing states 12 hours very clearly so you would have been back at approximately 830pm. You clearly visited all stated sites of Windsor. Castle, Stonehenge as you had entry tickets with time slot so not sure how the timing were off as you claim? We cannot be held responsible for traffic, weather and the current amount of London demonstrations which means our guides take other routes which can unfortunately take longer to ensure you get to see all you want. As for Bath the guide was happy to take you and is very upset you made that comment. He was being helpful and gave you many options to choose from for the last stop!! So bait and switch is insulting and Untrue. Clearly buy the hundreds of 5 star reviews this just goes to prove my point. We of course did a great job and showed you many wonderful sites it is just a shame you made some of the untrue points you did.

No Regrets on this Splurge

This was a “splurge” excursion for us. We felt lucky to have Moe as our guide. Depending on where you stay in London, this can be a 12-plus hour day, so it really helped to have a kind, interesting man like Moe behind the wheel. While Windsor castle was effectively self guided on the inside, Moe’s advice was quite valuable and allowed us to prioritize our time on the property according to our interests. Moe then introduced us to a nice local bakery before the next leg of our journey. Stonehenge has been on my bucket list as long as I’ve had such a list. Moe provided a lot of background information, but honestly, it was the mind blowing nature of the structure and the history surrounding it that made the trip. Moe’s excellent guiding was the cherry on top! We opted not to go to Bath and went to Salisbury Cathedral instead. No regrets here for two reasons. First, the cathedral is breathtakingly beautiful and houses an original Magna Carta. And second, this change allowed us to finish the day at the Wheatsheaf Pub in Lower Woodford, Salisbury, which is a gem itself.
