What To Expect

Depart central London by air-conditioned coach and venture into the English countryside. As you travel, hear interesting facts about the region and your first destination — the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain.

On arrival, enjoy time to explore this atmospheric site at leisure. Head inside, collect an informative audio guide, and ride the shuttle or follow the pathways to the UNESCO-listed stones that date back some 4,500 years.

Marvel at the gigantic stones and ponder how they were transported and raised here. Then, learn how and why Stonehenge was built — most scholars believe it formed a temple aligned to the sun — through the archaeological exhibitions and audiovisual experiences at the visitor center.
Next, continue west to the 18th-century city of Bath. All honey-stoned townhouses, terraces and bridges, this UNESCO-listed city is one of England’s crowning glories.

Enjoy the afternoon to explore this delightful city independently. Perhaps delve into the handsome streets to admire the Georgian architecture, seeing top Bath attractions such the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge that spans the Avon River.

Alternatively, upgrade to visit the Roman Baths, one of the world’s best-preserved sets of Roman remains. Explore the Great Bath and museum, and discover how the Romans built and expanded the complex over Baths’ natural springs from the 1st century AD.

Or, perhaps upgrade to visit the Jane Austen Visitor Centre. The much-loved English novelist lived in Bath in the early 1800s, and this fascinating museum chronicles her life and works through documents, artifacts and interactive experiences.

Lastly, return to London, where your tour ends with a drop-off near Victoria rail station.

This was an unbelievable experience! Our guide, Sou Sou is five star fabulous!!! He went above and beyond to give us history of London and many of the villages on the way to and from each site. He was entertaining, extremely knowledgeable, and overall had big heart! He wanted to make sure that everybody was happy, comfortable. I asked him if I could go off of the beaten path, to see a specific museum, the Jane Austen house, and not only did she tell me where it was, she walked me there. If you take this tour, try to get him, as he truly is the best! He took time to make sure that everybody knew exactly where we were going, where we needed to be at each time, and that we were all safe and comfortable. I Stonehenge was incredible, I loved how they have it roped off, so when you take a picture, it looks like nobody is there. Beth was incredible, such a beautiful city. Definitely touristy on the weekends, but even so, I still had a wonderful time. I can’t emphasize how much Sou Sou (sp) made the trip AMAZING by Sharing so much knowledge about London, the monarchy, and insight/trivia that Made the whole trip incredibly engaging. He should be the model for all other guides! Having an amazing twerk guide is just as important as visiting the sites. I highly recommend this trip!

Terrific! Highly recommend!

We rode with Eugene who was our tour guide. Tremendously knowledgeable! Loved all the sites and experiences! Highly recommend.
Long day

Watching the country side from the bus was uplifting. The driver did a good job. The tour guide set a negative tone by stating he is not a baby sitter. Stonehenge was windy and cold. The toilets were extremely dirty. Bath is a nice town, and the Roman baths were worth visiting. The facts about bath were also interesting. Too much time in Bath that was unnecessary, no public toilets in close vicinity, lots of encouragement to spend money in various recommended places. Returned to London very late.

We really enjoyed the tour. The tour guide Jasmine is very friendly and nice. Beautiful view all around, must see.
Great way to fit in to historic landmarks in one smooth trip.

Our tour guide Marie was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and showed us around Bath and Stonehenge. We had plenty of time in Bath to get something to eat and explore before our entrance into the Roman baths. Absolutely an amazing experience. Would 100% recommend this day trip to anybody who would like to fit this in during their stay in London. We love these kinds of day tours, where travel and timing has been prearranged.
Perfectly planned and executed!

Jasmine was a fantastic guide. Her knowledgable commentary added so much to the experience of touring the gorgeous city of Bath. The itinerary for the day was very well balanced. I felt like we had the perfect amount of time at both Stonehenge and Bath. Our driver, Robert, was also wonderful.

My husband and I went on this tour together and it was definitely worth it. Our tour guides were fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the freedom they gave us to roam or stay with the group and follow along with the commentary. Bath was gorgeous and Stonehenge was profound. Would recommend this tour.
A great way to spend a day!

Really enjoyed having a relaxing lunch with friends. Fun atmosphere with the street entertainment. Bath also had a variety of shops to browse.
Book this one!

This was a fantastic well organized trip. Very clear instructions on when to get on and off and where to meet. Plenty of time to grab a snack at Stonehenge and a meal in Bath. We got to Stonehenge early before it became too crowded and the lighting was perfect for pictures. Bath was amazing and the highlight of our whole trip to England. I’m glad I didn’t do a tour with a third stop so I could enjoy bath fully. The Roman Baths are very cool, but the Walking Tour with our guide was the best part- don’t skip it! Tom was our guide and he was the best! Had me laughing and learning so much. Would recommend this tour to anyone.
Tom & Hadar Rock Stonehenge & Roman Baths!
Helen_S, Apr 2024
I would like to say first off that Tom and Hadar were among the best tour duo we have ever experienced. Hadar’s warm, calm presence and excellent driving skills were outstanding and helped to create a virtually stress-free trip. Tom was funny, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I don’t think he left out any details. He was always reassuring, upbeat and ready to offer helpful information. I cannot say enough good about them and feel that we hit the jackpot with Tom and Hadar. So many thanks!!
Recommend this tour.

Stonehenge was amazing. We had great weather and really enjoyed the trip. Our guide, Clive, was well informed and provided information in an enjoyable manner. Bath was also interesting. We had an excellent lunch there.
Great time!

Awesome Tour to Stonehenge and Bath
Peter_S, Apr 2024
I can’t rave enough about our guided Viator tour to Stonehenge and Bath. Our guide Clive was very knowledgeable about both sites, taking us on a one hour+ architectural tour of Bath. He and our driver Carlos were easily approachable and welcomed all our questions. This was a great tour and I can’t recommend it enough. Just outstanding! Thanks again, Clive and Carlos, you’re the best!
Tour is good, departure a bit chaotic
Crystal_N, Apr 2024
Tour of Stonehenge was good, guide was knowledgeable and Bath was delightful. Only opportunity was the departure station, the directions were a bit confusing with gate 18 or 19. The coach station is chaotic, and they had 4 tours departing at once. Our coach arrived almost 1 hour late, thus pushing our arrival time by 1 hour back at the end of day.

Great day out

The day trip to Stonehenge and Bath was AMAZING. Beautiful sights of course and very well planned itinerary we saw all we wanted to see. Our guide Maria and our bus driver Troy were fabulous! Both very thoughtful and personable. I enjoyed Maria’s commentary on the stones and bath and Troy was an efficient driver. We got very lucky with the weather so it was a perfect day
Totally worth it
Prabhakaran_T, Apr 2024
We had an excellent time. Out guide Allan was so funny and entertaining yet sharing wonderful info about the places.
Onboarding was a nightmare. Actual tour was great.
Maureen_C, Apr 2024
Getting to the actual tour bus was a nightmare. I have done several tours through Viator in many different countries and never had any issues. The meeting place was in the Victoria coach station which was not indicated on the ticket. Once we figured it was in the coach station we had to walk around trying to figure out which buses were tour buses and which were the regular transit busses. Then we had to figure which tour bus we were on. There was no real signage. And if you found someone to help, they couldn’t figure out what tour I was with because viator pairs with local operators. It was beyond frustrating. I was planning on rating them one star. But the actual tour and tour guide, Clive were able to increase the star rating. Which is pretty amazing. The tour companies need to have an individual outside the station to help tourist figure out what is going on. It was a nightmare.
Day tour from London
Meredith_A, Apr 2024
Maria and Miguel were awesome! When we first got to the coach station, they were plenty of people checking in to make sure everyone got on the right bus. It was a double-decker bus, so the top floor had great views. However, if you are taller than average, the seats may be a bit tight. the process for going to Stonehenge and getting our tickets was smooth and Stonehenge itself was impressive. Do you plan your time as it goes quickly. Bath was amazing, Maria did a great walking tour up to the circus and the crescent. The tour of the Roman baths was self-paced, and there is so much to see in the town do note this is an all day tour, we left at 8:30am and did not get back into London until 7:30 PM. Maria was very conscientious about making sure everyone got on the bus and no one was left behind if you have one day and want to see Bath and Stonehenge, this is a great tour.
Excellent
Paul_W, Apr 2024
The tour guide was very good all day and very friendly and knowledgeable. I read some reviews about the standard of the tour coach. I don’t know what people were on about the coach was fine. It’s a long day but we had ample time in both bath and Stonehenge. The rain held off till we got on the coach going home. Highly recommended.
