Incompetent agents

Learning at pickup that the person who booked my trip lied to me about what I was paying for. I specifically requested something that would end up at the Burbank airport mid afternoon because I had a 5 pm flight. After waiting a long period of time, the representative told me I have found the right program for you. Unfortunately I assumed I was getting a private car for $305 as I had received in Chile. It turned out to be 15 people and the driver advised me that we would not be going to Burbank, but to Venice Beach. I was dropped off in Hollywood and had to spend another $100 to Uber to get to the Burbank Airport. I did not get a 8 hour tour or lunch for 2 that I paid for. The gave me a $70 refund. I will not use this service again.

Our itinerary clearly indicated our pick up locations, Places that we visit during to tour, and drop off locations. nonetheless, we are sorry for your misunderstanding and inconvenience.

Griffith Park Observatory. I generally enjoyed all the venues, and really appreciated the transportation from the cruise ship to LAX.

Our ability to provide something to do for people disembarking from cruise ships early in the morning and getting to the airport for their late afternoon or evening flights has become a very popular addition to our tours. Four stars because this tour was perfect for us and what we needed for the day coming off of a cruise and waiting for our evening flight. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We did find the actual tour lacking and the visits to the spots too quick or too long… Loved the theaters and the insider history. The first stop was to the first LA and market… that wasn’t completely open yet - would have been a great stop for lunch! Lunch was to Mel’s and then we drove down Rodeo Dr. and out to Venice Beach - we would have loved to stay here longer too! If you have mobility issues it’s mostly driving so walking wouldn’t be needed much but the van could be a struggle.

Thanks for your review. I have shared it with your guide, Gabriel and he expressed his appreciation for what you have said. As you probably noticed by the time you got to the airport, Los Angeles is a big place and attractions are many and spread out over many miles. We face many obstacles with which attractions we visit, how we will show it off, and how we will incorporate it in a logical trip with as little overlapping or retracing routes. The market (Olvera Street) starts opening at 10AM which makes it impractical for a lunch stop, about 2 hours into the tour. We reach Mel's in West Hollywood at around noon. Also, Olvera Street has only one small restaurant and offers a Mexican menu which does not off the variety of Mel's menu. Our tour provides a sampling of many of the attractions Los Angels offers following a logical sequential route. Thank you again for your review.
Will not allow for special accomdadations despite advertising that they would

We ended up having to cancle becuse the tour agent could not accomodate the special requests we needed in order to take the trip. We are still waiting for a refund.

Many thanks for your review. Our cancelation policy clearly indicates: 24 prior the tour date. ( full refund). However, You were trying to cancel your tour in the morning of your tour. Our driver was waiting for you at the pick up point for extra 30 minutes, but you did not show up, and then you were trying to cancel your tour.

Pick up was easy from the ship, got lots of information on LA. Good balance between driving and the various stops. If you are short on time and want to see as much as possible in a day this is a great tour. Driver was very knowledgeable and kept the group on schedule.

Our guide Alberto and our driver Abe were excellent. This tour was a great overall highlights of LA. Limited time at several stops but we saw All the hits.

Tour area good tour guide not so good

Enjoyed that we got to see a lot of the city in one day. Was great to get picked up off the cruise ship in Long Beach and see Los Angeles. Had ample time at each stop. Tour guide Gabriel, was evidently having”a bad day” the day of our tour and preceded to question my age and mental awareness suggesting I had dimentia when I asked a question regarding where we were headed next and what beach we were seeing. The whole tour bus was upset at his comments to me and tried to tell him he was being very rude and disrespectful but that only made him get going more with his nasty verbal comments and he proceeded to pull the bus to the side of the road and lecture us on why He was proud to be disrespectful… it really was weird. I contacted the tour owner and informed him of Gabriel’s inappropriate comments and behavior . He agreed his tour guide was out of place in his actions and verbal comments to me and our entire tour group. He agreed to refund my tour money and explained Gabriel said he was having a “bad day”!? I would never take a tour with Gabriel again but the tour owner did his best to apologize for the incident and compensate me for my bad tour experience. I am suppose to get an apology from Gabriel ….still waiting for that….

A great overview of Los Angeles and Surrounding Areas

Our guide, John, is a native of Los Angeles and is a wealth of information. We saw not only Los Angeles and Hollywood, but also Griffith Park, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, and Marina Del Ray. He took us to Mel’s Diner for lunch and we had numerous opportunities to get snacks and have restroom breaks. He picked us up from the cruise terminal at 8:45 am and dropped us off at LAX at 5 pm.

Excellent tour of 9 hours, taking in a huge tract of Los Angeles. Downtown, Griffith Park, Pasadena, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice and associated sites, like the walk of fame, Santa Monica Pier, Mel's Drive In for lunch. Gabriel our driver was great. Only criticism ....the van was WAY to small for 12 people and luggage and I ended up with bad cramp from being almost folded into tge rear seats!

What a great way to finish off our holiday after our cruise. Picked up at the port and shown the sights of LA. Our guide was a local who informed us greatly. Finished off our day by being dropped off at LAX airport for our night flight home toAustralia. Bonus 👍

Liked the older residential part of L A with the individually designed houses and the foot and hand prints in front of the Chinese Theatre. Santa Monica Boulevard is lovely, also the beach area.

Not good enough for the $$$

Waited exactly where required, bus arrived 15 mins late and unable to contact them we not all visitors are from the USA with suitable mobile/wi-fi. No adequate provision for non US guests. Tour guide kept repeating the same things over and over again. Too many references to US sporting events, players etc as only 1 out of 15 was American and the rest of us had no idea and little interest that a new player at 17 is rumoured to become a star. A passenger asked a valid question and the driver ridiculed her for at least 5 minutes. We visited some nice places but the small tour bus wasn't ideal. We thought it would be a full size coach. OK but wouldn't recommend.

Thank you for sharing your input. With respect to the arrival delay, we are under the control of the port authority when picking up passengers at the terminal. If we have contact information for guests, we do call them to let them know when to expect our arrival. You have said a number of times that we did not provide adequate provision for foreign visitors. We serve foreign visitors frequently. Yours is the first comment we have received expressing your concern. What do you feel we could have done better? How? Our guides are among the most experienced and knowledge in the industry. In addition to pointing out attractions along the way, we also try to cater to the interests and needs of each guest. We try to encourage our guest to speak up and let us know if or when we are missing the mark. We would appreciate knowing more about your comment that our guide "ridiculed" a guest. That is alarming and never appropriate. With respect to you reference to the bus being small. That is one of our primary and most popular attributes and it is stressed in all of our promotional materials. Our fleet consists only of 14 passenger vehicles. We only incorporate large vehicles on a charter basis for large groups. Once again, we always want to hear from our guests. The good comments are nice to hear. The negative ones are important to know. Thank you for sharing with us.

However, After discussing the matter with your driver and asking other passengers on board that day, we concluded that our driver had no fault in damaging, nor dropping your luggage. Unfortunately, your luggage must of been damaged on board of the cruise ship, prior to our tour. Regards

My wife and I were collected from San Pedro cruise terminal. Our guide was Gabriel. He was excellent … informative, and took us to all the scheduled itinerary. We had a great time visiting Hollywood, Beverly Hills etc. The only point of improvement I would make is that the instructions told us to meet our guide ‘at the curb outside the terminal.’ Both ourselves and Gabriel found this difficult because 2 cruise ships were in and there were thousands of people lining the long curb! It would have been better if the the instruction had been more explicit … E.g to meet at the sign for gate 92. Having said that, Gabriel was brilliant and contacted us by phone, and we eventually found each other. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.

In spite of the fact that the terminal frequently handles multiple ships at the same time, the confusion never seems to be addressed by the people in charge. Each time it seems we are directed to a different location to pick-up our guests. Even your suggestion of "meet at the sign for gate 92" would be confusing because there are several of those signs. I am glad that we had your phone number and that Gabriel was able to contact you. We sincerely appreciate your recommendation and hope to have an opportunity to serve you again.
