    A lot for a little

Greta was great, she was very informative. The food and drinks were all good. I feel it eas over priced. We had 4 drinks of which three were were 1/2 pours. I’m guessing the cost of food and drink would be about $100 pp. if ordering separate. And you would be receiving a full drink. Im sure that to stay on time 1/2 drinks are necessary. Next time I would take a 1 hour walking tour and spend the next few hours on my own!
Great way to see the city!!

Allison was an awesome tour guide! Such great historian who shared so much about the Prohibition. Great drinks and bites, very easy walking tour and way to see the city!
    Louisville downtown.

Greta, our tour guide, was so much fun. Very informative and interesting places. Definitely recommend.
    Fun Evening!

Great tastings, lots of history and interesting ‘ghosts’. Drinks and appetizers were ready when we arrived at each venue. Fun evening!
    An unforgettable experience.

Laci, our tour guide, was incredibly comfortable and knowledgeable in her presentation. She was attentive to the group as it moved to each historic location. She simply made our tour an unforgettable experience.
    Don’t upgrade.
    Teresa_K, Feb 2024
Our tour guide was not stellar. She would yell into the mic so much that my husband and I just stopped wearing them. We went to hear stories and check out Louisville. The guide was a horrible story teller and kept forgetting what she was talking about. We payed for the “premium” bourbon which should have said you get one drink of nicer bourbon. That’s it. I would not have bought it if I knew it was literally just one drink nicer. The food was good at O’Shea’s, but the rest was just ok. It was nice to get right into places and check some different places out, but not worth the price tag.

Hi Teresa, we sincerely apologize for falling short of your expectations during your recent tour experience. Our goal is to provide a fun, delicious and memorable time for our guests, and it deeply troubles us to learn that we did not meet your standards. Your feedback is invaluable to us as it highlights areas where we can improve, and we are committed to addressing the issues you've raised to ensure a more enjoyable experience for future guests. In particularly, we will strive to make it more clear that the "premium bourbon upgrade" package includes one hard-to-find pour and a take-home gift. Please reach out to us at contact@louisvillefoodtours.com so we can make it right!
    Must try

This experience is a must! Favorite part of our trip! Jeremy was amazing and so knowledgeable. Don’t pass this up!
Love this evening tasting and cocktail walking tour!
    Andrew_G, Dec 2023
Allison led us on a wonderful tasting, imbibing and story of Prohibition in Louisville on an evening stroll through the city. Hell or High-water speak easy was the perfect place to start the story and sip a cocktail! It’s just like stepping back into the prohibition era. We fell in love with Forester 86 at O’Shea’s alongside pretzel bread, beer cheese and ghost stories. As we strolled we learned about Louisville history, murder, political violence and apparitions that still haunt city, ending atop of the famous Galt Hotel with a smoked old fashioned and strawberry upside-down cake looking over the nighttime lights of the bridges & city of Louisville! This tour was the absolute best way to explore, taste and learn about Louisville!!!
All in all, a good experience.
    Brad_O, Dec 2023
Jodi was an excellent guide and the staff at all of our stops were very friendly and accommodating. The drinks that were provided were unusual, but extremely tasty. The food was small bites as advertised, but plentiful to the point of being full at the end of the tour. All in all, a goid experience.
    Awesome!

This was a blast! I had so much fun learning about Louisville. Allison was hilarious and a joy to have as a guide.
    Amazing Adventure
    Amy_E, Dec 2023
All of it!!! Phenomenal way to see the city and learn some of the interesting stories and tidbits! Our tour guides, Emily & Greta rocked!
    Best tour and guide Ever!!
    Angel_S, Oct 2023
We had such a wonderful time on this tour. Our tour guide was Allison and she was AMAZING! We had a very small group and it was great hearing all the prohibition and ghost stories but most of all learning about Allison and the meat life she has had. She was so interesting and fun! The other couple with us were awesome and enjoyed talking with them also. Even though it seems pricey the amount of alcohol and food you get along with the tour make it well worth it. I would recommend this tour to everyone!! We had the best time and I'm so glad we did it!!!
    Great start to our vacation

Loved the visit to O’SHEAS.. the hostess was very engaging telling stories which made it really authentic, great drink and appetizer pairings and the experience was the best of the four. Allison was also a bundle of enthusiasm and fun, and welcoming!
    Not for introverts
    Kathryn_G, Oct 2023
Adama was a good tour guide but I think I'm too introverted to enjoy the format. The stops got longer and longer, presumably to give us time to absorb the alcohol, but the tour didn't have enough content to fill the time, which meant we spent more time than I really needed to talking to our fellow tourists. They were perfectly nice but I'm not that interested in making conversation with people I'll never see again.
    Fun and informative
    Jared_W, Sep 2023
Our tour guide Allison was great and fun. She made sure everyone was accounted for and having a good time. We visited some cool and interesting spots. Learned some intriguing information about bourbon and the prohibition.
Excellent tour with cocktails, food and history
    Eric_K, Aug 2023
Excellent tour of Louisville bars and speakeasy locations. Nice sampling of cocktails and bars, but the history was super interesting. Our tour guide Alison brought the city and history to life. Highly recommend this tour.
Beautiful bars, great guides, good history
    Emily_C, Aug 2023
I found this tour looking for a true scary haunted tour. It wasn't what I expected but it was still so fun and I highly recommend. I got to experience places in Louisville I never would have known about or tried. The speakeasy vibes were my favorite. The tour guide Allison was fun, energetic, and knowledgeable. I learned a lot about prohibition and bourbon from her! Her trainee Emily was also great! I definitely thought there was going to be more ghosty vibes. There were some but most of the night focused on history of prohibition in Louisville and booze versus boos. It was very interesting and I enjoyed myself but would have loved just a touch more of the ghosts. Could have been my fault for not reading the description close enough. The drinks were great and food was pretty good as well. I left full and in a great mood 😉. Two of the bars were hotel bars. They were absolutely gorgeous bars one with a cool speakeasy vibe the other rooftop where we watched a beautiful sunset. Again not places I would have ever known about. I think personally though I would have preferred to support local places. Overall, I would recommend this tour. Ask for Allison!
    Highly recommend!!
