We booked this tour for our cruise ship stop. It was amazing and such a great way to see Martinique. We did the northern half, which was very lush and beautiful. Our tour guide, Brice, was great and spent a lot of time giving us the history of Martinique and information about local culture. I would highly recommend it!

Great custom trip

The tour included a drive through the rain forest and the botanical gardens. Jonathan was a great host who took us to places to experience eco tourism. Plent of time at the waterfalls and the black sand beach. Experienced a clay body mask washing it all in a thundering waterfall!

AMAZING custom tour of Martinique

Amazing cruise stop with a custom choice of stops. We focused on the gardens and the zoo...both stunning if you want a garden experience. Our driver was prompt, knowledgeable,friendly and even offered cold drinks. Highly recommend.

Great guide, but I needed to be clearer on my needs.

Guide and driver were great. We had a misunderstanding regarding our beach stop. We were seeking beach chairs with nearby food, instead we got dining on the beach. Still will recommend them, just be sure you are clear on your itinerary. As a good guide, Bryce helped make it a worthwhile trip and took care of our group.

Personalized Tour on Martinique

Our driver/tour guide was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable of the island and culture and had a deep interest in conversing with us as well. We were able to see and visit much of what we had originally requested with the exception of morning fog that blocked views of the volcano. A tour of the Depaz rum factory was very educational, and we were taken to a small local restaurant on a beach at which we enjoyed local cuisine. This is the best way to visit an area when time limited. You get to see and do what you want and on your own time scale; not on an itinerary that a shore excursion director has decided for you.

Joriah was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. He took excellent care of us and accommodated our every wish. He specifically had a difficult time getting us back to the ship due to Carnivsl and he went the extra mile even offered to park and walk us back due to street closures. Very well done.

Scenic Tour of Northern Martinique

We visited the Balata Botanical Gardens and the area around Saint-Pierre including the volcano museum. Our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It was a very nice tour which could have been extended a couple of hours to see more of the island.

Great Private Tour of Northern Martinique

I booked a private custom tour of Martinique concentrating on the Northern end of the island with Beyond the Beach. They are a great company and responded quickly to my questions and suggestions of the sites our group of 4 wanted to see. “Joe” was our guide and was very pleasant, wanted us to have great experience and took very good care of us. He provided a lot of information about the island, the sites, himself and also wanted to get to know us and where we were from. We saw the Balata Church, Cascade du Saut du Gendarme, the rain forest, the ruins of St Pierre, the Depaz Distillery, Le Carbet beach with volcanic sand and a nice view of the volcano as well as Point de vue de l'Anse Marigot. My only suggestion, because “Joe” is soft spoken, is to use a headset microphone.

Private tour in Martinique worth the money:)

We were able to go to a beach and the statues of lost slaves that drowned when the sea was rough. We got to experience the culture. The tour guide Edward was very accommodating and we were able to see a banana plantation and see the process of getting the bananas ready. Great views and time!

The tour was amazing! Our tour guide was the best! She showed us all across the island. We saw the rum distillery and she gave us tickets to get a taste. The volcano, beaches, and churches were beautiful. If you get a chance this excursion is well worth the price! Leslies’ lady owned business is run with class, clean and friendly. Her choice for a guide for her business was top notch. Definitely choose this tour you won’t be disappointed.

A very good tour with a great driver/guide, Joshua. His attitude, knowledge and conversation were first class and made the day special. The drive to Grande Anse des Salines was made worthwhile by this fantastic beach. A long, palm tree lined crescent of white sand with easy, stone and shelf free access into the warm sea. An hour spent there was followed by a drive up to Les Morne Gommier for magnificent views over the south of the island. Winding down past the lush flora we then headed along the coast, past Diamond Rock and an unscheduled stop at the poignant memorial to slaves killed in a shipwreck, through the wonderful resort of Anse d’Arlet, stopping to photograph the picture postcard church on the seafront. 5 hours after starting we were back at the cruise port. I thoroughly recommend this company. The communication with Leslie before and after the booking was friendly and professional.

Amazing private tour of Northern Martinique

We booked the individual Martinique island tour in order to spend time after the cruise ship disembarkation in the morning and before our flight departure in the evening. As it was an individual tour, it was possible to agree the pick-up timing in advance, moreover, it was possible to ask for drop-off at the airport rather than at the cruise port. It was also possible to change pick-up time for slightly later time slot just one day before the tour when we had got more recent information on our exact time of disembarkation time from the ship . The pick-up at the cruise port turned out to be very smooth - Joshua had arrived on time and we found him easily. The vehicle was very comfortable, modern and clean. Upon our meeting, Joshua had asked us of whether we would like to explore the beaches of southern Martinique or the untouched nature of northern Martinique - we had selected the second option (given the fact that it was a day to fly back home and all our swimwear had been already packed in the suitcases). The tour of northern Martinique turned out to be just great - we visited very beautiful Sacre Coeur church (resembling one in Paris, but a bit smaller), then visited a wonderful waterfall in the area of botanical gardens, after that explored the amazing city of St. Pierre destroyed by the volcano in 1902, tasted the rum and other drinks at the old Depaz rum distillery and finally had been dropped off at Martinique international airport just two and a half hours before our flight time. They day turned out to be amazing. Joshua was a great guide: provided us with insightful commentary, spoke very clear English, was very punctual as well as friendly, supportive, positive and humorous and always had the umbrellas ready (as it was raining frequently during the day). I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Martinique as the island itself is much more beautiful and interesting than just its main city Fort de France.
