We had a great experience!! It was my first time snorkeling and they were awesome! It was beautiful and they made me feel calm and gave us the time to go at our own pace. Our guide and captain even saw a baby blue whale from the distance and we were able to go see them. It was amazing!!! Highly recommend this tour.

I can't say enough about how amazing this trip was. Loved being on a smaller boat; we got to spend a lot of time in the water. Joe & Lucia were great - always mindful of our safety. Kyle's photos are outstanding! They are too large in size to be added here. great quality and artistic eye. Get the photos. The Turtle Town experience was almost other worldly - so many turtles! you will not be disappointed. Molokini crater has a lot of diversity, you might even see dolphins. We also were blessed with seeing a humpback whale competition pod on our way back to the dock.

Do not use Viator to book your tour!

Viator failed to send me tickets for a different tour. While on the phone with them to fix this, they offered to book another tour I had been looking at. When we arrived before 7am, we found the the snorkel tour was on an inflatable raft boat, not the catamaran I had been looking at. None of the communication we received indicated this was a raft boat. My husband and I could not get back inside this kind of boat after snorkeling, so we couldn’t go. We were very disappointed because this was supposed to be a recreation of a previous trip as we celebrated our 40th anniversary. We were denied any refund. I blame Viator, not the tour operator. I will never use Viator again.

This crew is great. Fantastic and chill trip to molokini and other snorkel spots. Captain Joe, Lucia, and Kyle were all very attentive and conscientious. Joe found some perfect spots for us. Lucia was so kind and instructive. Kyle was in the water the whole time with us pointing out cool stuff and taking pics. Kyle’s photos were ridiculously awesome! Only downside was my veggie sandwich didn’t get ordered.

We booked last minute based on time and availability, so we didn't realize that the various tours were on highly differentiated boats. There are a few on large catamaran style boats that we had read about and sounded very cool. And then our tour and some others are on much smaller raft style boats. Our tour was a bit shorter than the large boat tours 4 hours instead of 5.5 hours. As far as I can tell the time difference comes down to size of boat and where you come from. The large boats have to travel from a larger marina that is further away, and it takes them longer to get going with significantly larger number of people to organize. The operators of our tour also emphasized to us that they were able to anchor in better spots or closer to the action due to the size of our boat. That said I only experienced my tour. The captain was amazing he made the safety instruction lively enough to actually listen to him. In general the just a pleasant person to be around. The first mate was also very nice. She acted a life guard during the snorkeling and offered tips and tricks and equipment tweaks to make sure everyone got the most out of their time. Lastly there was a ride along under water photographer offering photos of your group for the whole day for $100. That is easily the best price I have ever heard for that service. Our guy also happened to know a lot about marine life. We went in October which is the a slower time of year, and also shortly after wild fires in Lahaina. Just for reference as this definitely will have made my experience different from normal times.

So glad we chose this company. Smaller boat equals fewer people and better experience. Joe and Jess were fun. We saw so many beautiful fish, an eagle ray, multiple sea turtles and other amazing sea creatures! I highly recommend this company. I would use them every time.

Joe, Brian, and Jess on the Getaway we’re both knowledgeable and helpful in ensuring that our snorkeling trip was safe and memorable. Kyle was additionally engaging. He informed us of marine biology and even got an octopus to set on his hands for us to touch and enjoy. He was the photographer on the trip, engaging with all of us for great underwater photos. The weather and water conditions were remarkable; I guess it’s rare to have such calm water and wind; made for a very enjoyable time. Food and snacks were fitting, and there’s nothing we would’ve changed; hope to do this again the next time we visit.

Joe, Bryan and photographer Lynette were excellent. It was such a great experience. Great snorkeling excursion due the fact that it was actually a good amount of time snorkeling and not just a booze cruise. Also a small group so we were not all crowded while snorkeling. We saw several turtles and lots of marine life. Took care of business. Five stars all day long!

When you jump off the back of the boat, you feel like you are in a crystal clear water aquarium with an amazing number of fish and sea creatures. I also enjoyed looking at the birds on Molokini. It was amazing!! The crew of the Getaway were friendly and helpful and ensured our safety.
