Whale watching trip was awesome we saw 6 different whales. They were very active. The crew was great!
Great experience!
Sarah_B, Apr 2024
My kids and I really enjoyed this experience. The boat captain was very knowledgeable about the area, having worked with the Navy in Hawaii for many years. Saw a total of 9 humpback whales. Aside from that: plenty of facts about whales, captain deftly piloted the boat to avoid choppiness and thus seasickness, and friendly staff who proactively came and offered to take family photos with your own phone.

End of season
William_T, Apr 2024
They took the time to make sure we saw the whales at the end of the season. Also gave great information on the whales.
Relaxing Boat Ride!
Shelly_J, Apr 2024
We went second week of April so we did not see any wales since it was end of season. We did see a sea turtle and had a fun boat ride. The crew was very attentive and friendly. They offered us another free trip out to try again but due to time constraints we declined. I would recommend this activity for all ages!
Whale watching yes, but a whole lot more!
Leonard_Z, Apr 2024
As far as whale watching is concerned it was all right. However the thing that stood out to me was the relocation of the Lahaina company to Oahu due to the wildfire last year. The harrowing escape of Captain Dave was an unforgettable description of what it really was like at the time. I was happy to support this business and hope that the company will recover and return to Maui soon.

A Fun Experience
David_H, Apr 2024
Even though it was late in watching season, we saw several whales! The captain was friendly and knowledgeable (though difficult to hear on the small onboard sound system,) and the crew was personable and helpful and the boat was very accommodating. Was likely just the weather that day, but would recommend preparing for strong winds. Take this trip!!👍

Beth_L, Apr 2024
Captain and Crew couldn't have been any nicer, since the weather wasn't great and we didn't see many whales the Captain said anyone who wanted to could stay on the boat for the next tour or come another day. Who else would do that.

Windy but fun
Jim_Z, Apr 2024
The crew was very friendly and welcoming. The captain forewarned us that due to high winds and waves he would not be able to sail to deep water so our chances of seeing the whales would be minimal. He gave us the option to opt out before we set sail. We chose to go anyway. While quite choppy, we enjoyed the experience. The captain thought he saw a whale just before returning to shore. We didn’t actually see it. We were given a voucher for a free return trip. Since we were flying home that same day we shared the voucher with a local who might be able to use it. Thanks to the friendly staff, the trip was worth it.

Whales
ROBERT_M, Apr 2024
The water was really blue. I unfortunately got sick. We did not see any whales because the water was really choppy.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Aloha - thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear you got sick, I hope our crew was extremely helpful and paid attention to your concerns and gave support.
Needle in Haystack
Cassy_S, Apr 2024
Hearing that there are only 10 whales in the area was disappointing. That’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack! Go to Maui to watch whales. Also, the water was very choppy so people were getting sick and vomiting. Awful.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
I'm sorry to hear about your lack of enthursiasm about the tour. We do strive to create an epic and memorable experience for our guests. With that being said, of course these animals are wild and we always attempt to put you in the best viewing position. Please feel free to contact our reservations team about an experience recovery.
Whales whales whales
CHONTEL_C, Apr 2024
This tour is a must. We saw so many whales. The boat was big enough to move around and everyone had a front row view. The crew was wonderful. They were wonderful in accommodating my elderly father who decided the ride would make him ill. They refunded his money.

Great whale watching and coastal cruise
Robert_H, Apr 2024
I chose this option for whale watching because of the high ratings and guarantee of whale sightings or another trip. I knew that meant there was a high probability. We saw several groups of whales and a seal. It was a fun experience for the family.

Get ready to see whales😃!
Paul_T, Mar 2024
What a beautiful day it was out on the water😃! I had never experienced such scenic views before. Our ship sailed out around 9:00am, which happened (on that day) to be perfect for seeing the whales! It was the first time I had seen several whales all in one area. The captain explained that they were younger whales out playing together😃. The captain and crew did a phenomenal job taking care of everyone on the ship. They also suggested moving around the ship for closer pictures and/or videos of the whales 🐳. This experience was incredible and I would gladly do it again!

Awesome Adventure
Julie_D, Mar 2024
I went on the whale watching with my 17 year old son. As someone who gets sea sick and seeing how choppy it was, I was concerned. Crew told us where we should sit to help keep me from being sick. We saw dolphins, harbor seals, and the captain went out of his way to ensure we saw whales, including arriving back a little late due to the distance (okay with us!). The views were so good of the whales that even the crew were taking photos. Good day! Ensure you tip the crew for their hard work!
