The crew on the Pride of Maui were incredible!! They made this experience even more enjoyable! They each had many jobs to perform on this cruise but they all did it with a smile and were all very friendly.

Molokini let us down due to an approaching storm, but this experience was still amazing. The crew did an awesome job of finding a great snorkel spot that kept is out of the high winds and rough seas, and all of them were upbeat and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

The boat didn’t even go to Turtle Town presumably because of high winds. No effort to do something on the fly to make up for that which was the whole reason I booked the excursion. Big disappointment overall for price I paid

If only we could control the weather. It never ceases to amaze me how single minded some folks can be. The reason we didn't go to Turtle Town was for your safety, which is our number one priority. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and comfort of our guests, and if the conditions are unsafe, or the visibility is poor due to surf and choppy waters at a particular location, we will take you to one of many alternate locations offering calmer conditions and better visibility. We agree that the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles are amazing, and fortunately the conditions at Turtle Town are great most of the time. It's unfortunate that you were unable to enjoy the exceptional snorkeling experience at Molokini Crater and Coral Gardens, like so many others do. My suggestion, is that when booking an ocean activity, you keep in mind that it is the ocean, and the ocean is exposed to variable weather which affects the quality of snorkeling at all locations, and there isn't an operator on Maui, who will take you to Turtle Town on a day when it is not safe to do so.

Great morning of snorkelling at two lovely sites with breakfast, lunch and a few drinks included. Crew all working so hard to keep us safe on the boat and in the water - the crater area was nice but rather busy, I actually preferred the second site we visited off the island. Highly recommend this trip for those who like boats and snorkelling.

Crew was genuinely friendly and quick to help. Safety concerns were addressed while still promoting lots of fun. Plenty of access to hydration, lunch, beverages/EtOH and cookies - and all very tasty! Service was excellent! Ample room on the vessel to move about and relax. Equipment was comfortable and clean. Locations provided good visuals -of course what you’ll see is out of their control… The “flow” of the itinerary was extremely well thought out, more so than expected. We docked around 1230/1ish and sooner than the expected 3pm. I will say, however, that I didn’t feel as if we missed out on anything at all -but thought I’d mention that if someone feels strongly about how much time you’ll be out on the boat. Great day, great crew, great sights -very satisfied. Go for it!

After more than 40 years in the business it's still rewarding to read so many 5-star reviews from guests like you who appreciate the distance we go to be the best of the best. Our food is served hot off the grill, using the freshest ingredients, right down to our home-made white chocolate, macadamia nut cookies, baked fresh daily in our own commercial kitchen, just minutes from the harbor. The reason you have plenty of room, is because we are the only vessel on the island which operates at just 60% of our US Coast Guard capacity. We use only professional grade snorkeling equipment, which is sanitized and maintained to the highest level. I am not sure why you thought the tour returns at 3 PM, though as you say, 5 hours from 8 AM to 1 PM is the perfect amount of time to take it all in with memories not soon forgotten.

About a 5 hour excursion from start to finish. They feed you a light breakfast with pastries, fruit and coffee. Then you make it to the crater for your first snorkel. All of the staff is great ensuring that you are secure and comfortable. After about an hour you are back on the ship for another trip to another destination during which you are fed lunch which was tasty. Then you are off to snorkel to look for turtles. Not much turtles to see on my trip although there was one huge one to gander at briefly. On the way back you get cookies. Overall a great experience! The staff is friendly and helpful. The accommodations are not bad, although I would note that I booked the more expensive trip that has only 60% the normal capacity. I could not imagine being comfortable with any more people. Even in the oven it gets crowded and you end up getting bumped into by the other guests at time. So i definitely recommend booking the less crowded trip. This is definitely a trip worth doing at least once!

Very nice experience with a very professional and experienced crew. Saw many fish at the crater. The next stop to see turtles was shortened by a change in the wind but the crew made sure everyone enjoyed the experience.

Best Snorkeling Trip Ever!

First of all can we talk about the all women crew!!! Amazing service, there for everyone! The crew gave special attention to one of our group who, unfortunately, got a little motion sickness after the second snorkel. She's kind of shy, and was made to feel comfortable without making her feel self conscious about getting sick. Enough of that, the food was excellent! I was served my first Mai Tai by the captain who saw me relaxing during the groups 2nd snorkeling opportunity that I chose to pass on 😊. The crew as well as the captain were very attentive of all of us! Nice catamaran, good restroom on board, wetsuit well worth the low price of $10!! This is a must do trip! Beautiful fish, coral, and most of all the beautiful green turtles! A must do in Maui!!!

Not the Experience I Booked

It wasn’t the excursion that was the problem. It was that Viator misrepresented the experience to me. I called inquiring about a private cruise with a snorkeling excursion for 10-12 of us celebrating a special occasion. What we got was a boat with 76 people, no comfortable space to relax, and very little food and drink despite being told we’d have food and drink all Day. For someone looking for a mass snorkeling excursion, this would be fine but as several in our party just wanted to relax on the boat this did nut fit the bill. I ended up returning everyone’s money and just biting the bullet. I will never book through Viator again.

We had a great time and even took advantage of the opportunity to Snuba dive while on the boat. What a great opportunity to get a little deeper in the ocean without actually scuba diving. Great hosts on the boat and had fresh hot grilled chicken for lunch. Yum the slide was the best part!
