Great snorkeling in Maui

One of the best snorkeling trips we have ever done. The boat and crew were set up right from boarding and made for a super experience. Nice to have something to eat on the boat for an early morning trip. When we arrived at Molokini they ensured everyone was comfortable and got us in the water quickly. Amazing snorkeling with lots of fish varieties and beautiful coral. We even saw a baby octopus which was a highlight. We did not see many turtles at the second stop but it was still great snorkeling. Over 2 hours total in the water. Lunch and drinks on the ride back was a perfect end to the trip. All of the staff were super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this tour.

Boat changed without consent. Crater experience was good. Moored way to far out for turtle portion. The swim to see turtles way too far. A big disappointment. The crew however was good and took good care of the passengers.

Captain Carlos, JJ, Boz, and Paul could not have been nicer, or more helpful. Safety was a big focus too. Our continental breakfast, lunch, and cookies were delicious. Snorkeling Molokini was a dream and so was Turtle Town. A great experience!

My fiancé and I were surprisingly upgraded to the Calypso the night before our booking. With the Calypso differences from the Malolo, you get to do 2 stops, the ship had slides, and the ship was much bigger! The staff was so kind and seemed like they enjoyed being out on the water. The water is absolutely breathtaking. For first time snorkelers, they are extremely patience. You HAVE to do this!!

Bad service/ wrong boat/ stranded without options

I booked on the day before the adventure. Later in the day, I was notified that I will not be traveling on a catamaran boat. This was the whole point of booking this adventure. I was sent a message after 7 pm (tour starts at 7 am mandatory check in) “For your Molokini Snorkel tomorrow we have upgraded you (at no cost) to our deluxe boat the Calypso.” It is not an upgrade, it is a huge boat without ability to provide for the paid experience. I understand that cuttings cost is important in business. However, take your posting down when you are aware of changes and do not lead people on and have them left without options.

The whole experience was exceptional. The crew of The Calypso were helpful and efficient, the cruise was smooth and the day perfect. I was nervous because of my age and because I had only snorkeled once before, 10 years ago. The crew were very reassuring and provided me with all the aid necessary to have an amazing experience. The Skipper giving the history of the island and the creation of Molokini. To a very helpful crew that was down to earth and very mindful of their surroundings. The snorking is amazing and the boat is a blast. As a family we had so much fun. Definitely recommend this to anyone!!

Snorkeling Molokini & Turtle Town

We throughly enjoyed our trip from beginning to end. The crew served coffee, fruit juices, tea was available, pastries, assorted fruits on the way to Molokini. At Molokini the water was clear, a medium variety of fish today, they had a water slide on the boat “Calypso” for anyone who wanted to enjoy it. A snack was available with assorted cut up vegetables and ranch dressing. After Turtle town, Lunch was sandwiches, ham & cheese, turkey & and a veggie, with lettuce & tomato, a pasta salad and cookies. It’s a 30 minute ride to turtle town, and snorkeling with lots of turtles and a good variety of fish. The captain give us island trivia throughout the day, which was interesting. The crew was very accommodating. A fantastic day, with a reasonable price!

Boss frogs is a great tour company! The guides are knowledgeable and experienced in what they do. We also had a freelance photographer on our tour. Molokini Crater is a GREAT place to snorkel with incredible visibility. The guides said it wasn’t that great the day we were there and I can only imagine what “great” bc that was awesome! Turtle Town was also incredible! By the time we reached Maui, we had been in Hawaii for over a week and had never seen a turtle … then we saw like four turtles on this trip! They are majestic creatures! Keep in mind: turtle town had much less visibility that molokini crater and the turtles look like rocks so you really had to look for them One thing: you can get SOAKED on the way back to the marina. To avoid this, the only safe place is in the middle of the boat. If you don’t care, go in the front. Personally, once I knew my bag was safe, I went up front and got soaked for the experience! It was absolutely great!

Good snorkeling at Molokini

Molokini crater was great! We saw a large eel and practically swam inside a large school of fish. We didn’t see any turtles at Turtle Town, but other folks on our trip did. The crew were nice and capable. The food was fine, but there weren’t many GF options, despite me noting this dietary restriction at registration. It would have been nice if the crew had offered any kind of aid to folks who were sea sick - they didn’t give any advice on how to cope and they didn’t have anything like ginger candy or Dramamine to offer them.

The boat ride back, was the one thing I will remember, it was really windy, and where we went to snorkel there wasn't many fish to see and o ly seen o e turtle, and alot alot of people so many people that we would swim I to each other.
