What To Expect
Book this tour from Mexico City for an in-depth exploration of the culture and history of several important sites: Teotihuacan, Guadalupe Shrine, and Tlatelolco, plus take a little time for tequila tasting, too. Your guide will arrange all the logistics, plus tell you much more about each site than any guide book could.
Meet your guide and group at the departure point. If you book a private tour, then you can choose hotel pickup, to make things a little easier.
Either way, you’ll have transport out to the Zona Arqueologica Tlatelolco, the Guadalupe Shrine, and Tlacaelel for tequila tasting and lunch (lunch is your own expense). You’ll also have a long tour of the “City of the Gods” where you can walk around the historical ruins.
At the end of your day, you’ll be transported back to Mexico City.

If you're going to Mexico City you're going to want to see these sights and this tour is an easy way to do that. Teotihuacan is obviously the major attraction but having not previously researched Guadalupe Shrine we were surprised at how impressive and interesting it was. Glad we did it. Frankly the tequila tasting part was not that interesting and could be left out. The lunch stop is at a typical Mexican restaurant and the food was good. There were some Mariachi performers doing their thing. Our guide, Gerson, was quite a character and very enthusiastic though a bit hard to understand at times due to his accent. Finally the bus/large van that took us was very clean, modern and comfortable.

Our tour guide Emmanuel was such an amazing guide, taking care of every detail, explaining everything with passion. And at the end we were able to have a lot of fun and learn a lot. So much that I decided to book another tour from Amigotours in Cancun, which was also fine but not as good as Emanuel's. Thank you very much

Amigo tours and viator. Very bad trip from start to finish. Of course the sites we visited were beautiful and terrific. However the bus was not nice at all. At the beginning at pick up and crossing a busy road and whenever the guides led the group they hardly ever turned around to make sure everyone was there and could keep up. The information by one of the guides was passable to good by the other guide the information history etc about the sites was minimal and very very little when there was so much information that could have been given. We were taken to a site that was really just a place for the 50 people herded on the bus to buy souvenirs probably a kickback system. There was no selection for lunch only one place where we all had to eat and not included in the tour. One would expect to be enriched by going on a tour but this was not at all the case. There must be much better companies and tours to select from and go on rather than amigo and viator tours. I hardly ever write reviews and do not like to be negative but I feel motivated to lower expectations for people going on this tour or for others to
choose another. We choose it due to the high ratings on TripAdvisor.

We had a great time at each part of the tour, our favorite was the tequila tasting and Teotihuacan! Our tour guides were very informative and took care of us. We had the pleasure of riding with Alfonso our bus driver, and our tour guides Sergio, Alexa, and Diana. They were able to provide both Spanish and English translations. We felt as though we had the least time at the Basilica de Guadalupe but that is understandable as this is a tour of many things in different areas, if you would like to spend enough time here visiting all the areas near the basilica then I’d recommend visiting it on your own or with a private guide. Overall we had a fantastic time with this group and our guides were very funny! I’d do this tour again!

I am absolutely furious with the tour I recently took with Amigos Tours. Our visit to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, a place of immense reverence for many, was marred by the insensitive and disrespectful comments made by our tour guide.
Instead of providing respectful commentary, the guide brazenly expressed doubt about the existence of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Juan Diego. This blatant disregard for the deeply held beliefs of visitors like myself is completely unacceptable.
It's outrageous that a company entrusted with guiding visitors through such sacred sites would allow their guides to spout such offensive remarks.
My experience with Amigos Tours has left me seething with anger, and I will not hesitate to share my disappointment with others. It's disgraceful that a company claiming to provide cultural tours would allow such ignorance and disrespect to tarnish their reputation.

Alan, our tour guide was very good with all the explanations and keeping the group engaged. We had a large group of different nationalities but he managed quite well. The tour was well structured and gave enough glimpses in Mexican history and culture.

Every single part of the destination was such an amazing experience. Such a well organized tour guide that we had. I was shockingly impressed on how they made it so easy for us to get from one destination to another with out any setbacks. Emmanuel is just a wonderful person with so much energy and charisma.
