Amazing place
RUTH_V, Mar 2024
An amazing place, much larger than I thought and our guide was particularly informative on the structure and the history of the various groups of people of this area of Mexico
Great experience
Nicole_G, Feb 2024
Wonderful, knowledgeable guide, small , friendly, International group of travelers, I learned so much.
Excellent tour!
Kerry_K, Feb 2024
The guide knew his stuff and we learned a lot, great day. The temples are spectacular, all the more so since they don't really know who built them.
Fantastic guide
Mia_F, Feb 2024
Fantastic guide with a great knowledge of the area and history. A wonderful experience that I would recommend
LOOK ELSE WHERE.
Glenn_V, Feb 2024
This was the worst tour I have ever taken. Small group? 24 guests on public transport. No information and poorly executed. If you like 2.5 hours on public transport arriving an hour before the blazing sun and no shade, this is the tour for you. Several of us participates ended up leaving on our own taking a Uber back to the city. Beware NO INTERNET connection there. Previous tours were amazing, but you should arrive as soon as they open to avoid the worst of the heat. AWEFUL tour.
Large group, sold as small group tour
Gloria_Y, Feb 2024
Do not do this tour. It was sold as a small group tour, I do not consider 36 to 40 a small group. We lost a good hour waiting for everyone to gather. I don't mind some public transportation, but again 40 is much harder to be together than 6 to 8. Big bus so no introduction, no history., information at all until you arrive. Time wasted again on the guides explaining what we're seeing. Which a little is ok but at that point we want to explore. We left the tour and went on our own. Not worth the money at all. I spent extra for small group. Viator I am very disappointed in you for backing this. If you sell as small group that's what it should be, not large group with three guides, still large group, with large group problems. I really think I should get refunded for this. It was a waste!

Our guide Javier was delightful!!! He knew so much and had wonderful energy. My family and I learned so much and saw first hand how the Mexican government values and is investing in the rich history of its country. I highly recommend this tour and company.
Alejandro is the greatest tour guide!!
Nicole_B, Jan 2024
The tour was very informative guided by our leader Alejandro. He was very knowledgable and the tour had a great flow with some stops along the way. The tour had a good mix of walking and stopping at iconic places to talk about the history of each of them. We were provided an awesome demonstration of how the colours of the murals were made which was very interesting.
Wonderful experience + Carmina is an amazing guide!
carolyn_v, Jan 2024
We had a wonderful time on this tour! We were so glad to get a taste of public transport in a city that is new to us. We were also very glad we had a guide with us to visit Teotihuacán - it added such depth to our experience of the place. Carmina was an amazing guide!!! We appreciated her welcoming smile, her knowledge, her willingness to answer questions, and she was always checking in with us about water, bathroom breaks, snacks and timelines for transit. We would love to have her as a guide in the future for other sites and neighborhoods! Price-wise we felt the value was very good too. Thanks for making our day and visit to Teotihuacán so enjoyable. (PS bring some snacks or a lunch to enjoy. There are options for snacks at the transit center and some minimal options at Teotihuacán but we felt glad we had also packed some with us).
The Mexican public transport tour
Alice_M, Jan 2024
This is definitely not a 5 star tour. Look, it wasn’t like it was terrible. Sure, you don’t get a tour bus (very important to know if you want that tour feel), but the cost was silly. We had to catch a packed public bus to a coach station, where the coach stank of cigarettes and still stopped to pick up locals here and there. And on the way back, you get the coach again, then the metro. It was chaotic and hilarious and my partner and I settled into the craziness of it all, but to charge $80AUDpp to catch public transport and do a tour with a guide who’s English wasn’t the best (he really tried and he was a cool dude!), sucked. The info given to us about the ruins was minimal - thankfully we watched some YouTube videos about the place before hand! Our mates paid a heap more and did the hot air ballooning, which I would say, try that instead of this, unless you like to spend heaps of money of public transport, then you do you boo.
Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour with Javier. He taught us so much about the fascinating history of Teotihuacan! This tour was definitely my favorite thing from my week-long trip to Mexico City.
Great tour
Jacklin_G, Jan 2024
This was a very informative tour. It’s over 7 hours long as you take public transportation. Bring your own lunch. Our guide Javier was great. Very knowledgeable and made sure everyone was following. He arranged demo from a local artist on how they used plants and minerals to create different colors.

Arthur_P, Jan 2024
The temples are a fantastic site and "Warrior" is a wonderful guide. I thought I had signed up for a small group trip (we were 16 people) on a private bus so was disappointed to find out we had to spend more time on transportation than I had hoped (street car to public bus with local stops and no air conditioning). If you don't mind that part of the "local experience" then this is the trip for you.
Go with Alejandro!
Martijn_A, Jan 2024
The tour was awesome! We definitely wouldn't have enjoyed Teotihuacan as much without a guide. Our guide Alejandro was very knowledgeable, took photos and shared recommendations of other places to go. The demonstration of how the Teotihuacans made dyes for the murals was stunning! Loved it

We were there 50 years ago so we were surprised and pleased at the immense progress. The museum was amazing. OUr guide and the tour were excellent. THE BUS WAS AWFUL! We have NEVER been on a paid tour anywhere in the world that used a public bus. We go on paid tours for safety and cleanliness. We could do public transportation on our own! This was NOT advertised, and we cannot recommend this tour. It was not up to Viaror standards.
Great way to see the pyramids
Shweta_S, Dec 2023
Great way to see the pyramids, I mean the temples! The tour doesn’t feel rushed and you see a lot more around the temples and get very good information about the city and the history. The use of public transport was nice for me but may put off some people. The guides were very knowledgeable, respectful and nice. Booked another experience with them!

Our trip was great! The archeological site was just massive and so impressive. Our guide Javier was very knowledgeable about the area and he made it come to life. Javier was organized, punctual and very friendly! 5 stars!!
Highly recommend
Courtney_L, Dec 2023
We went on Christmas Day, which I would recommend. Way less crowded. Great guide, good size group, great pace. Would highly recommend. Alejandro was a very knowledgeable guide & took lots of pictures of us as a group & individually. I’m taking another tour from his company because of how much I enjoyed this one! :)
Mexico history holiday experience
Anne_M, Dec 2023
Fantastic and very informative. Carmin was great! She handled all the logistics and answered our many questions. Thanks
Great tour!
Rebecca_H, Dec 2023
Alex was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. Loved being able to take public transit to and from the site, learning more about daily life for locals in CDMX. Great day focused on learning and memorable experiences. Mango popsicle at the end of a long walk through the city was a plus! Bring hat, sunscreen, sunglasses.
