The Everglades Airboat Safari was memorable & magical. Captain Mike was informative & funny. The speaker who introduced us to Cannibal & his wife was engaging! Finally, the gentleman who allowed us to pet Pickles the baby gator, was very patient & had a great sense of humor. Overall I felt very welcome & this safari was the highlight of my trip. Thank you 😊

Adventure fun

Captain Jack was the best.great end to senior trip. Would go again. Loved every minute of it. The experience was fun for all ages
Maybe ok if you’re staying in Miami Beach… read all reviews
Josh_N, Mar 2024
Full disclosure: we did not actually go on this tour, but we did pay for it and expensive parking in order to do this tour, so please to read this as a comment on the tour itself, because I don’t know if it’s actually any good. Please read other reviews to determine that. First the company that runs this is Miami Double Decker (it’s hard to find this information on Viator) check out the reviews for this tour over on other reputable sites known for Advising Trips. Second: if you’re doing this trip from anywhere other than Miami, just stop. It’s not worth it. Drive directly to Everglades and enjoy the park that way. It’s going to me a 90 minute bus ride each way if you take the tour. Time is money on vacation. You’re locking 3 hours of your day into travel. Third: parking is a problem. Uber there if that makes sense. You’re going to spend $35-60 parking near the pick up place. Fourth: no public restrooms in the facility. This was a problem for my kids. Fifth: a general lack of helpfulness from the staff. It feels shady. They get you in the door and once they have your money you’re locked in. There are other, likely better options for an airboat tour in that area. Seeing the park on your own is probably best anyway if that’s an option. Many of the other reviews I have seen on other sites seem to indicate that this tour doesn’t spend any time in an actual national park at all, but a park near Everglades. I can’t speak to this because we chose to skip the tour because of all of the things I mentioned above. It was better for us to eat the cost of the tour and the parking than to tolerate any of the things I mentioned.
Everyone was informative...
Erica_S, Mar 2024
Everyone was informative and kind with good humor. Smoothly run. Enjoyed it. Thank you. A little info on the Everglades would have been appreciated. Alligators were explained knowledgeably but nothing on the Everglades. Missed that.
Terrible experience
Gary_Z, Mar 2024
Never ended up able to go on the boat. We waited 1 hour for the bus which was running late and bye then the kids couldn’t wait any longer plus we had an appointment after the trip that we had to make so had to leave. Can we get a refund from you, we asked at the building and they said we would have to talk to you.
Okay
Destructo_Q, Mar 2024
The bus was at least 1 1/2 hours late and not what I expected. I thought it would be more to see and do. They could add more to the area to see.
Exhilarating
Kathi_T, Mar 2024
Loved riding in the airboat and tour guide was amazing. It was beautiful day. didn’t realize how loud it would be, more so in the back.
Not worth the money
Angela_O, Mar 2024
Way too short. Besides the bus ride the actual boat ride was a half hour. Not worth the money that you pay. Plus it would be nice to have more than a half hour to look at the exhibits.
Enjoyable ride in the everglades swamp
Percy_T, Mar 2024
We had an experienced and friendly boat captain. Totally recomend the ride on the everglades swamp. The guy at the aligator show had us entertained while giving facts about the aligators living jn the everglades.
Awesome experience fun...
Julie_K, Mar 2024

melita_p, Mar 2024
It was so nice and the weather is just beautiful 87° and boat ride is smooth we saw a lot of Alligator .we are close to them
Fast Ride
Jessica_H, Mar 2024
My kids haven't ever been or seen the everglades. They enjoyed see the animals up close. And the fast ride around the everglades. We saw 1 alligator well out on a ride. I find it really disturbing the amount of time, the guy asked for tips. Stopping in the middle of the everglades, to remind us to tip him.
Great Experience!
Jakdok, Mar 2024
We saw the 13 foot alligator and the way the bus driver was a DJ for our long ride back to Miami. He made sure we had fun even though we were stuck in terrible traffic!
Must watch in miami
Rajesh_R, Mar 2024
Must watch in Miami One time experience on Everglades park Saw crocodile and birds Boat experience was nice
Do not waste your time or money
Chad_F, Mar 2024
Tour bus pick-up was 45 min after the published time. Then made stops at other non related tours along the way…. When we finally arrived at the airboats, the place felt run down. The most disturbing was the fact that we spent. 20 min (if that) on the airboats (after a bad 1hr+ bus ride listening to the driver asking for tips constantly). Even Little kids were asking why are we going back. We did see one small gader and 2 birds before we returned to the dock. Then back on the bus for the 1.5 hr ride back.
Not really the National Park
Stephanie_L, Mar 2024
Airboat ride was to short for how long you have to be in a bus to get there. Gift shop did not have anything that said we were anywhere near a National Park. Deceiving advertising as we thought we were going to the National Park.
Exploiting alligators
Gina_S, Mar 2024
Awful to see the exploitation of the baby crocodiles in the exhibit. There was no human decency. Right after you pet the baby gator you are directed to a food truck were they serve gator bites! How disrespectful to the animal. What non profit does that? It’s shameful.
Don’t book that stuff !
Laura_T, Mar 2024
A Scam. Simply a scam, animal exploitation, terrible services, terrible location. This is probably the worst of the worst of the worst of Miami.
This has nothing to do with the place
Georgia_J, Mar 2024
This review is mainly focused on Viator its self, terrible customer service took over 3 hours to get a refund request, we arrived at the everglades weather was awful lighting and all, however the place did the Alagator show first in hopes of the weather picking up, that was great loved it. Sadly after we weren’t able to do the boat ride as the weather was awful the park shut and we got sent back on the bus. It states on the app that a full refund is available if the trip is cancelled due to weather (which it was) and I contacted the apps support immediately saying so and they were filled with lies going back n forth for hours said they rang up the tour company (which again they didn’t) and said the tour was still on so no refund available. The customer support person was rude, unhelpful was a painful few hours. It also stated on the app wrong times as we got told a different time and ended up being over an hour early just waiting around. The actually Everglades destination was lovely staff are really nice and funny!! So this is mainly about the app. Will never be using it again.
A must Everglades experience when in Miami
Rucha_P, Mar 2024
This was an amazing experience. The bus pick up and drop off are timely and convenient. The airboat tour is fun, we spotted a few different wildlife animals. The reptile exhibits were the highlight. We got to touch the young still baby alligators and click pictures with them.
Poor communication
Becky_P, Feb 2024
Wasn’t clear about the start time….arrived 1.5 hours early based on the conversations I had on the phone. Was told told arrive at 12:30pm for a 1:00pm start time, didn’t start until 1:30pm. Upgraded to VIP tickets but there was no organization on the bus and I wasn’t able to get this section that I upgraded to. Used aviator before but this was not a great experience. Very disappointed.
