First time kayaking and felt super safe throughout the entire experience. Felipe was friendly and always checking on us. The snacks and water were very appreciated during the paddling. Now the bioluminescent was so magical!! I also got the chance to swim at night under the moonlight✨ The bonfire with hot chocolate and cookies after the swim was very thoughtful☺️ The driver was punctual and friendly as well, everything about this experience was a 10. Completely recommend it!

    Bucket list item checked off!

Great experience, and Kevin & Luis were great guides. Safety training was informative and entertaining! We went through several caves, first when still slightly light out, and again after night fall to experience the bioluminescence in full darkness. Moon was bright the night we went, which gave me more comfort on the open sea after nightfall. Seas were calm and winds were light, making it very enjoyable.

Great Adventure! Mostly About the Kayaking at Sea, Less About Bioluminescence

This was quite an adventure! I thought sea kayaking in the dark would be harder and make me more nervous than it did... but I found it effortless. The bioluminescence was fascinating, but it is not a big jaw-dropping spectacle... it's pretty subtle. But still fun to see! The guides were great and well-prepared. They kept us safe, but not overbearing. They could have provided a bit more educational content. A delightful surprise was that, at the end, we can back to shore to find a warm fire pit and free snacks (fruit platter, cookies, hot chocolate). One of the friends we were with did get sea sick halfway through (and there's no easy way to get back early), so that's something to be prepared for. We also were unaware when we booked that they offered transportation from Zona Romantica to the Mismaloya beach they depart from... we took an affordable Uber. But it was a relief on the way home (when our butts were wet) that we could hop in their transport van to be taken back home (and didn't have to request an Uber out there at night).

    Fun. but be advised...

Great tour but be advised. This tour is out in the ocean so the water can be rough as it was when we went. Make sure all people are willing to do quite a bit of physical exercise. This is not the same as kayaking on a lake with no resistance. Also, If you are a couple I would not recommend using a "doubles" kayak unless you are experienced in tandem kayaking. It is hard to communicate with the other person and will will end up going in circles and getting irritated with each other. That being said. If you are up to it this can be a very cool trip. Being out in the ocean is fun and you get to go kayak around a couple of small island formations and if the water isn't too rough you will go through the tunnels of the rock. Kayaking into the night was exciting. Of course you want to know about the bioluminescence. I was a little concerned since there was no pictures of it in the profile of the tour. But we did get to see it. It wasn't as bright as you've seen in the pictures of glowing waves washing ashore, when you put your hand or paddle in the water it looks like glitter sparkling around your hand. It was pretty cool. Obviously many things can affect how much you will see. I'm satisfied but someday hope to see a full algae bloom. Hats off to the tour guides who we're friendly and accommodating.

We had a great paddle out to the arches. The bioluminescence is beautiful. It was a good work out too. Recommend the experience!

    Great experience, no matter what

Weather got the best of our trip & we had to turn back (twice) to avoid afternoon storms. We were in tandem with our kids & felt safe despite the storms. Staff was friendly & knowledgable, they were quick to accommodate the change of plans. So glad we spent the afternoon with them, even if we didn’t make it to the bioluminescence.
