What To Expect

Combine the thrills of riding an ATV with sightseeing on this half-day guided ATV tour from Nassau. Cruise along the coastline of New Providence Island on a Can-Am Outlander 450 ATV and discover some of the island’s top highlights.

Your adventure starts with pickup from your hotel or the cruise port. After getting geared up, follow your guide along the main roads of the island to several stops: enjoy a guided tour and take photos of historic cannons at Fort Montagu; stop at the Queen’s Staircase for photos; admire the sweeping views at Fort Fincastle; learn about rum production and sample rum blends; at John Watling’s Distillery; explore historic Fort Charlotte; take photos of the Caves of New Providence.

Your last stop before being dropped back off at your accommodations or the cruise port will be at Saunders Beach, where you can enjoy a swim and savor the included Bahamian lunch.

This made our day. We were picked up right from the exit gate and driven not too far to the location. The tour guides were super friendly and funny! This was worth every cent. We toured the island to beautiful spots which we not have been able to find on our own. Lunch was delicious! I would bring more family back and we would do this tour again for sure.

We were looking for an expedition off the resort and this was definitely the way to do it. You want to see the fort? The queens staircase and visit a genuine rum distillery all in one day? This is definitely the way to do it! EJ, our tour guide, was great and very knowledgeable. The lunch provided was absolutely delicious. Definitely a great way to see the city without stressing about using a taxi to get from one site to the next. A lot of people were complaining about the state of the ATV’s being “old” I’m not sure what they were referring to because yes these vehicles show use but they’re nowhere near being in disrepair. They even had newer vehicles for the 2 seaters. If you haven’t been on an ATV expedition before, let me just tell you they were absolutely nothing outside of the norm when it came to normal wear and tear.

EJ was our tour guide and he was amazing! We had a great day learning some history and seeing some amazing spots. My 8 year old son went and had a great time as well! Totally recommend this tour!

It took us longer to get off the cruise ship than expected. However, the guys were still waiting for us and ready to take us to the ATV location as soon as we checked in. Once we arrived, EJ, had us fill out the paperwork quickly, gave us a rundown on how to drive the ATV and off we went. We did not leave at the scheduled 9am time but most of that was from our ship letting us off late. They waited for us. (Also, island time is a real thing. If there are delays, just be chill about it.) The ATV’s weren’t new but ran well. I saw other reviews stating they were old and run down. I just feel they have been well loved and why upgrade to a brand new item when an older model still runs. I also feel, sometimes Americans are spoiled and get used to everything looking new and shiny. The engine was hot on my leg like other reviewers have stated however if you place your leg up on the wheel well, you will be good. These machines are running for 3 hours straight. You’d be hot too if you ran for that long. I have been to the Bahamas before and taken a tour bus excursion but that doesn’t even compare to riding out in the open air and the mist of the ocean spraying on your face! The views are amazing and we went down roads the tour buses do not use. Last but by no means least was our tour guide EJ. He literally knew everyone! 😂😂 At red lights At gas stations At the landmarks At the tours At the beach At the coconut stand At the restaurant He was great and very knowledgeable. After the tour, the van to take us back to the ship was not back. So we took the buggy back. We had to take another family back to a hotel first and then EJ took us to the ship. It was almost like a second tour. The buggy ride itself was so fun. My sons were stoked. He drove us to the port but then asked us we wanted him to drop us off at the shops. So we said, “yes!” Once there, he introduced us to a lady he knew, (surprise), that had her own shop. Of course we bought from her. When I first booked this tour I was nervous because of the price, however, EJ made it all worth while. And when we come back we will be doing it again!!! See you soon EJ!

We did this tour in May 2023 and it was the best fun! One of the tour guides EJ (pictured with my husband) was the best tour guide we could ever have. He was funny and very informative. We went to places like the Queen's Staircase, John Watlings Distillery and even had some bomb Bahamian lunch on the beach (From Bahamian Grill). I definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

The quad I was riding had no front brake and no rear brake. The exhaust leaked out the side to give my left ankle 1st degree skin burns. One tire on my quad was shot as the rubber was gone to overuse. There was no safety briefing prior to zooming through the streets of Nassau.

Good tour, ATVs need repair

Foster picked us up at our hotel an hour before the tour. He was also our tour guide. He was polite and showed us many interesting sites. Foster did a good job of maintaining a good speed while we rode the ATVs on the road. He went above and beyond and opened our coconuts for us when the coconut vendor was absent from his stall. Foster also brought out food to us as the beach which allowed us to have a little more beach time. Thanks, Foster :). The ATVs got us from point A to point B to point C, but they are very worn. I had a few safety concerns. One ATV didn't have a mirror and another ATV had a broken speedometer so there was no way to tell how fast you were going. One of ATVs had a loose seat so that made difficult to feel safe when making turns. There are several turns and roundabouts on the tour. Overall it was a good tour because our tour guide did a good job. However it was overpriced ($200) considering the condition of the ATVs.
