We pick up guests from ALL hotels, also from AIR BnBs Pick-up time for guests in the western part of Nassau will be from 9:00 - 9:15 am. Pick-up time from Paradise Island will be between at 9:25 - 9:35 am.

What To Expect

Meet the famous pigs of the Bahamas, and enjoy a morning on the beach, with this half-day tour to Rose Island from Nassau.

Your day starts with pickup from your Nassau hotel by air-conditioned vehicle. Enjoy a short island tour and karaoke on the ride to Fort Montagu, where you'll board the boat for a 20-minute ride to Rose Island.

At Rose Island, relax on a beach chair, swim, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard, with all equipment and towels provided. You’ll then have around 30 minutes to meet, feed, play with, and swim with the resident pigs.

Afterwards, savor the included lunch before returning to Nassau to be dropped off at your hotel.

Great tour. But a couple of things you should be aware of. The tour says towels are provided along with paddle boards and kayaks. None of these are available and the operator said he asked Viator to change the wording 2 years ago. That said big Lou and Lauren the guide were really good. So was the pig experience. Lunch was excellent but bring cash. 2 rum punch $34. Overall I would strongly recommend

Rose Island is beautiful! The pigs were super adorable and the staff were friendly and fun! From the beginning to the end, we enjoyed ourselves. You spent about 20 mins with the pigs and got a delicious lunch. You spent A couple of hours on the island. The tour on your way back was super informational and interesting. I highly recommend this excursion.

No kayak or paddle board use per advertisement. No bottled water per advertisement. Transport was on time, driver was nice but brought two of his buddies along for the ride which felt a bit weird. When arriving at dock had to wait half hour for boat. Waivers should have been processed when booking online. Pigs were fun, food was good, place was beautiful. Trip was originally cancelled due to poor weather which is understandable but communication was spotty.

Rose island was great, tour and pigs were great, just didn’t realize it was domesticated pigs that get let out of a pen onto the beach. Thought it was wild pigs like exuma

Truly worth every penny. You take about a half hour ferry ride to the island. Once there you settle in then, pig time! The hosts hand you food to feed the pigs like apples and grapes and such. Such an amazing experience. Afterwards it’s lunch time, relax or swim in the ocean a bit. They had one more pig feeding before we got back on the ferry home. Highly recommend!

Not Worth the Money & Would Not Recommend...

This tour and experience was not what we envisioned or signed up for and the experience we had was not a positive one. First, our tour was moved from 9am to 11am without any confirmation and communication with our family. We were notified of the change when boarding the bus at 9am and ended up rearranged our day to accommodate the change, but they basically did not give us an option! Then when we arrived on the island with our young family, there were hundreds of college age kids scattered all over the island. As the day continued, they were all pretty drunk and it turned into a full on club in the patio area. There were no chairs or towels available, the music was so loud we could not even talk and to even get anything that resembled a “normal experience”, we had to walk about 10-15 minutes down the beach where there were no college kids throwing footballs and running around, but also no chairs, etc. We were told our pig encounter/experience would be at 2pm and we saw them out running about around 1:30ish but by the time we got there, the pigs were going back into their pin and we missed it and the whole reason we were there!!! I’m very upset that it was not communicated that this experience would resemble MTV spring break vs what we thought would be a family friendly experience. We honestly couldn't get off the island fast enough. The staff on the boat and island were nice and friendly, but I have attempted to contact the owner for some sort of refund and have not heard back! I would not waste your money with this operator and for this manufactured pig experience!

We had a wonderful time. It was so much fun swimming with and feeding the pigs. The buffet that was provided for lunch was great. All of the employees went out o their ay to make this excursion a memorable experience. It was my birthday, and A1, one of the employees, even bought me a celebratory drink. I will definitely use viator again.

I am very dissatisfied with Viator. I told the agent numerous times I was coming on on Royal Caribbean on Wonder of the Seas, but yet they booked me for an excursion in Nassau. Nassau was not possible for us to get to. My 6 and 4 year old granddaughters we so disappointed that they were not able to go. This was my 1st time booking with Viator and I won't do it again!!!!

It was a great experience! I will say and this is not a knock on the company by any means, this is just for future travelers. I was under the impression that these pigs already just lived on the beach and are native to the waters — in reality they are trained pigs that live on a farm that come out to the water when called. You only get to interact with them for a short while on a small area so it was a bit misleading. But again my fault for not researching that more. The reason I give this a four star rather than five is because a lot of our time was used up waiting for transportation so in reality the excursion itself is only less than 2 hours.

Amazing trip! The staff are fantastic….. and the pigs are everything you expected and more!!!!!!! Just be careful when scheduling, we were in no rush so had no impact on us , but it is more then 4 hours for sure. So cruise ship passengers if you do 9am you probably won’t be back till 3pm. Absolutely perfect day!!!

Tour operators delayed the tour by 3 hours the night before (notified by email less than 30 minutes before they closed so we did not even have a chance to contact them). When we did hear back in the morning, they simply stated they would not return us in time for the cruise ship departure. They have now not responded to request for refund since they effectively cancelled our tour. Very sad.

I am so sorry as I was really excited to be going on this tour. It started off with them picking us up about an hour late because they “forgot us”. We got on board the boat finally and started off only to be told that the boat was overloaded and we needed another boat to take us. So we had to turn around and wait for another boat. Whilst I appreciate that safety comes first I would have thought they would have the numbers already? They forgot to sign us in and register our attendance they said they would do it when we were on the boat…… they forgot. When we got to the pigs they were let out their pen to come to us in the water but I have to say the location we had to stand was on rocks in the sea and very dangerous and I had a couple of scrapes but no warning was made about these which would have been appreciated as I could have avoided injury. The food was cold. The location however was stunning. We didn’t feel the staff were overly bothered however the captain of the second ship was very informative and friendly. I really wish this was a positive review however sadly not a happy customer especially when we paid over £300 for two people.

Overall it was an excellent experience. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because the length of time we got to hang out with the pigs was too short. The boat trip out to Rose Island was fun, and the lunch was very good…delicious burgers and fries, other options available too! The time to relax on the beach was great as well. So glad we decided to do this during our vacation to Atlantis.

we stopped at a resort … for relaxation and lunch the pigs were 20-30 mins . it was fun . nice resort or place to be for an hour or so. was definitely worth the money . being stuff with you towels anything beach related . they have a full bar and served hamburger for lunch… so if you want something else bring with you. nice place to sit . we walked around the island really nice
