excursion canceled without our being notified

the excursion was canceled and we were not notified. Impossible to reach the contact on site. after 3 calls, they say it's canceled. we waited 1h30 in front of the hotel for nothing. as it was our last day, we could not go to EXUMAS

Awesome experience that our family will remember forever. A lot of boat time but you get to see and do a bit of everything. Would have been nice to spend a bit more time at a few of the stops.

Such a fun day! Our tour guides and driver were truly amazing!! We considered doing a tour that went straight to see the pigs and back but I’m so glad we did the full day. We saw so many beautiful islands.

The places you visit while on the tour are a must see. The lunch was great and delicious. The crew was energetic and friendly, they were great guys. Capitan did great maneuvers. Breakfast was light, which makes sense, otherwise you will definitely throw up. I recommended going with little food in your stomach and checking your liquid consumption since restrooms in boats are uncomfortable. I took one star off because the Customer Service of whomever is in charge of replying through Viator app and Whatsapp is terrible, it is basically not existent. I had to take a taxi while in The Bahamas to try to go to their offices to sort things out because everything was a complete mess. Turns out the location they have listed in Whatsapp is not their real location, so, I went to a rabbit hole. I also had to put credit in my Skype to try to call both numbers they have listed and none resolved anything. I had to talk to Viator to sort things out, and yet, and I had no expectations of they showing up to pick me up until they did. The level of uncertainty is incredible. I took another star off because my seat was very uncomfortable. If you take a couple's sitting and you are not very very thin, you will be sitting half butt out of the chair for the entire trip. So I recommended taking the single chairs.

Awesome excursion with the best crew ever! The stops were great, but the crew kept the fun going even when we were just cruising to our next destination. We travel quite a bit and this is one of the most fun excursions we’ve ever done.

Poor Communication & Preparation

Viator was absolutely horrible! They cancelled our excursion and never told us. We found out the day of the excursion after waking up at 6am when the pickup car never arrived. They rescheduled us for the next day, but we had to be on top of them to ensure the pickup would arrive. When we called to confirm the pickup car that night, they asked where we were staying then told us they originally couldn’t pick us up because it wasn’t a hotel (contrary to what it says on the Viator site). We told them we had no time to schedule a cab since it was already so late, and eventually they told us they’d pick us up. But if we hadn’t kept on them about it, they wouldn’t have shown up, just check the other reviews about poor communication. The excursion itself was fun, but they blasted music way too loud the whole time, and it really wasn’t worth the headache.

Didn’t actually get to go, first they rescheduled saying 5ere wasn’t enough for the trip that day, then the next day it was too windy for the trip to occur and last email was that there were mechanical issues so no alternative trips could be run. Lots of updates from the company hence two stars not one but disappointing that was postponed and cancelled multiple ways.

This tour exceeded our expectations!!! Our tour guides, were AMAZING!! Jojo was one of our tour guides who made sure we were comfortable and encourage us to immerse ourselves in the experience even when we felt a little hesitant dealing with live animals. Captain Tony made sure ensured we got to each location and back to the dock safely. We also bought a photo package and our photographer, Chanel was great, she made sure to take action shots of us at each stop which was awesome! I'm sorry to have forgotten the other crew members names but you ALL WERE AMAZING!! This was our first time to the Bahamas and it was one of the most memorable trips we've ever had! Thank you!!

The actual stops were really good and the crew were absolutely amazing. Kew, Jason and the Captain were attentive and so friendly. They are a true credit to the company. The boat ride was horrific, we were thrown around so much on the way. Me and my daughter were the only ones left at the front of the boat and we had to hold on for dear life. I genuinely didn’t think we would make it to the first stop alive. The stops could have been a little longer, felt rushed at times.

Poor communications -- Cancelled due to weather

We didn't do the tour, which was cancelled by the operator, so this review relates to communication with the operator and the refund experience. I wrote the operator 24-hours before the tour to reconfirm our reservation and pick-up time. The operator wrote back at 8PM the night before the tour to say that tours were cancelled for the rest of the week without offering an explanation. It was pretty windy and we later learned that many (though not all) boat tours were cancelled. That's understandable, but it would have been nice if the operator advised us about the cancellation earlier so we could have booked a land tour or made other plans. Also, it's not clear to me that they would have written to advise of the cancellation had I not reached out first, which would have left us waiting for a pick-up at 7AM. Then we were advised our refund would be processed if we didn't want to rebook for a later date. I responded immediately saying that we were leaving the day after our cancelled tour so we couldn't rebook. After three weeks and no refund, I submitted a refund request on Viator. To the operator's credit they issued the refund in less than 24-hours, and the credit hit my card not long after. It looks like a lovely tour and I don't want to tank the operator's rating, but travelers would prefer better communication about cancellations before the trip. The weather didn't take a sudden turn. It had been windy for days and the fact that the operator cancelled several days worth of tours after ours tells me they knew our tour would be cancelled much earlier than 11-hours before our scheduled pick-up time.

A fun day out

They offered hotel pickup to the port where light breakfast, waiver signing took place before we took the boat from Nassau to the multiple islands in Exuma. Passed a couple of Islands owned by multi millionaires/ billionaires and made stops at the various different Island for the Iguanas, Sharks, swimming pigs and snorkeling sites. There was also lunch followed by a brief stint at a private island. The private Island we were taken to had a big sign reading- STAY OFF PRIVATE PROPERTY - BEWARE OF DOGS. I guess the owners have not yet made their annual visit to the island. Music, drinks and snacks and the crew, Jason, Tony, captain and photographer/ videographers were on board. The ride was bumpy at times so hold on to your belongings. The sun was out but we also encountered some rain clouds that felt like pellets. Overall a fun experience. I would estimate 15-20 minutes at each stop, except for lunch and private Island which was about 30 minutes each. The majority of the time was spent on the boat being transported from Island to the islands.I considered the trip a splurge. You don’t normally get to swim with sharks that are not ready to devour you.

A great day all around!! JoJo and Q were excellent at keeping the energy up and very attentive to everyone's needs. Captain Tony made us feel comfortable, even when the weather started to get a bit bad at the end. It was a great tour that I highly suggest!!!

Extremely disappointing

We never got to experience the tour. We waited outside of our lobby for two hours and called them several times. We were repeatedly told that they were on their way. Finally, a driver arrived and we asked him to check for us. We were then told that they did not have on the list because of Viator. After speaking with Viator, we learned that the travel assistant was not being truthful. They accepted our full payment, reply to pick up times with emails, and never arrived. When you are traveling with little time available for big error such as this, it can be very devastating. I would never recommend this company to another traveler.

Overall it’s an Ok trip. Due to the National Celebrations, we were not picked up at our hotel. We had to walk farther up to a meeting place. We were on time but others were not. Everyone was told that if you are not on time, the bus will leave within 5 minutes of the meeting time, but we waited 30 minutes for others. Then the bus came back past our hotel before taking a detour. Not sure why we had to get up early to a meeting point when we came back past our hotel. We were rushed to get on the boat and did not get what supposed to be breakfast, coffee and donuts. No time for coffee. The music was very loud the whole time the boat was on the move, which was not too good for children and older adults. They were nice that they assisted us getting in and out of the boat and checked to see if we’re were OK since we sat at the front. They communicated well on the changes of pickup time and place, but did not follow through and those of us who follow the instructions had to suffer. I hope they can do this better job next time when happens to other customers.
