What To Expect

Head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter and board your beautiful riverboat. This paddlewheel ship — one of the last of its kind in New Orleans — will transport you back to the 19th century when ports bustled with produce-laden cargo ships, steamboats, and clandestine privateering.

Take a stroll along the deck as you begin the journey along the Mississippi River. Then have a seat in the cabin or on the outside deck, where you’ll get unobstructed views of the striking shoreline at dusk, and soak up some live jazz tunes from the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland, a true New Orleans-style band.

As for dinner, your Creole-inspired meal might includes favorites like from chicken and sausage gumbo and cheesy penne pasta. Top it off with signature bread pudding accompanied by coffee and tea.

Your evening cruise ends back at the departure point in the French Quarter.

Rockin on the Natchez Steamboat

So much fun!! Met some wonderful people and the jazz music was PHENOMENAL We really hope more people enjoy this experience!!!
Good could be better
Alexandria_O, Mar 2024
The ship was really nice and clean. Smooth ride, but the food wasn’t that good. The service and quality of that was very disorganized and bad.
Great experience!
Shannon_B, Mar 2024
So the band was awesome and the views from the ship were amazing. Even though I was sick the entire time due to motion sickness I still managed to enjoy. I definitely would recommend this ship! The crew was fun and very knowledgeable. Plus being able to see the engine room. My older kids loved that part!
Skip this and have fun on shore.
Camille_F, Mar 2024
It was chilly that evening with a strong wind. The band was in the dining room, and we did not get the dinner part of the cruise because everything we read said the food was not worth it. There was no place to go to listen to the jazz band, and nowhere to get out of the wind. We were pretty bored and miserable. We stood in the doorway of the engine room for the warm air blowing out of it. I will never recommend this tour to anyone.
We loved the live music...
Nicolette_S, Mar 2024
We loved the live music and history of the river and boat. We had a great time with our family. We didn’t do the dinner option because it wasn’t available. I think the price is too high for the excursion, but overall it was a good experience.
Date Night

Well worth the money when weather is great. Cancel if any rain is in forecast. That would have sucked.
Not that great for f experience
Shanique_S, Mar 2024
The cruise part down the river was nice, but if you’re going to book this definitely only get tickets the include dinner. We purchase tickets that did NOT have dinner included, but was told by the booking agency that we could also buy food once on board. So we arrive, at 6:40pm. The hostess inside for dinning said that we just missed the seating for the 6:45 seating (keep in mind our arrival time), but she said to come back at 8pm seats should be available. The 6:45 dinning time wasn’t even halfway full. We definitely could have eaten then cause seats were available, but what ever . She said come back at 8. 8 pm rolls around, I ask her about dinner again, with a full attitude she tells me that nothing is available. Saw that we had been standing around waiting and she said nothing. It just sucked that she played us like that. Could have allowed us in for the first dinning group but was clearly being a hater. And just rude. So eat before you come or only book this if the dinner is included. You can’t take the booking agency’s word for being guaranteed a meal without it being Pre booked on your ticket.
Very enjoyable evening...

Very enjoyable evening with friends. Music was good, staff was very helpful and funny. They do need to get more bartenders, the wait times were too long.

Henry_L, Mar 2024
It was alright. It gets dark pretty quick so there is nothing much to see outside the ship. However, the vibe in the ship is pretty nice.

Went with my family and had the best time! Drinks and food were very good, a little chilly but other than that i would definitely recommend!! Be careful, might get a little faded lol jk

The meal was not very good. The Jazz group was in a crowded part of the ship. Drinks were expensive. Last week we went on a dinner sunset cruise in Tampa Bay that cost 20% less, excellent food, and drinks were included.
Steamboat fun
Judy_K, Mar 2024
We were very close to the band and enjoyed our experience extremely. Music was great, dancing was fun, and food was good especially the bread pudding!
Chilly evening on the Mississippi River
Betty_R, Mar 2024
Food was the best we had ever had on a riverboat cruise. The band was fantastic. It was too chilly to enjoy the outside decks . Otherwise an amazing journey.

Stunning sunset on a paddle boat
Diane_F, Mar 2024
A delightful cruise with excellent music! We didn’t do the dinner, but it all looked good! We went mostly for the jazz and the Dukes of Dixie didn’t disappoint!
Great Cruise for the Cost
Margaret_A, Mar 2024
Great views of the city and gorgeous sunset colors despite the clouds. Only suggestion would be to have more seating around the band. People were fighting for seats. We did not have dinner, but it looked nice for a buffet serving. Bars on all floors and staffed nicely.
