Seating goes according to weight and balance. Weight maximum is 250 pounds per person. Passengers are weighed at our facility and passengers weighing over the weight limit are required to purchase an additional seat or will forfeit their flight.
Helicopter seats 6 passengers and 1 pilot. All tours are shared with other passengers. All 6 seats must be purchased for a private tour. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative time or date.
Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date.
Passengers must arrive 1 hour prior to scheduled flight time with Identification. It is strongly advised to arrive prior to check in time to avoid being charged late fee *** ***LATE FEE PRICES*** Passengers failing to arrive 45 minutes prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $50.00 per person late fee. Passengers arriving 30 minutes or less prior to scheduled flight time will be charged $100.00 per person late fee.
New York Helicopter has the right to cancel, change or delay any flight any time for any reason, which includes weather conditions, Temporary Flight Restrictions implemented by the FAA, minimum number of passengers not met for tour, helicopter maintenance and all other circumstances outside of our control.

$45.00 heliport fee for children under the age of 2 (must be paid on site on travel date)
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 6 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

The Helicopter ride itself is an exhilarating experience. the penalties for late arrival are steep and it could be emphasized in the Viator confirmation email. there was also a $45 per person surcharge at the helicopter hangar which was not mentioned.

Based on previous reviews and scores on Viator we decided to book with this company. Air field is in New Jersey so be mindful of transfers when booking. To be honest the helicopter flight was good and our pilot Nathan was amazing. He was informative, cracked jokes and added to our experience. Unfortunately the lack of professionalism by the ground staff was alarming. We witnessed another couple from our flight being taken off and accused of breaking equipment which didn’t happen and asked to pay to repair/replace said item. There were no checks of equipment in between flights. I would recommend a more reputable company if was to fly again.

Lovely experience! If you respect the checkin time everything is perfect. The pilot was also a guide, presenting all the stuff we saw around, and doing some tricks so that we can see the Statue of Liberty on pth sides and from very close.

We had a great experience. After arriving way too early we were fastly transferred to the port. After a short introduction to the security guidelines we were able to directly board a helicopter. The pilot and all personal was very nice and professional. We felt secure during all times. Negative points: there is a jungle of fees and penalty fees around the booking, which makes it intransparent. The location in new Jersey is a bit difficult to reach by public transport.

Bad deal - taking advantage

Bought tickets for 4:00 ride, called to say be here by 3:15, arrived at 3:20 and they charged an extra $50 person = $200 - then they wanted to leave early, before 4:00 Then charged a $180 heliport fee - why would that not be in ticket price? Ruined a positive experience from the start and of course policy says you can’t cancel. Very poor customer experience!!!!!

Very irresponsible, they demand that you arrive 45 minutes before your flight. If it happens, they will charge you $100 per person. but they are not punctual with the time of your flight. I flew. It was at 4 pm and it was done at 5 pm due to their delays I missed another activity that I had. So that they demand punctuality when they do not comply

Great tour if the weather was great We had to reschedule 3 times due to rainy weather. Then when it did happen we didn't get to fly around the Statue of Liberty due to weather But it was still great. The kids were nervous but excited.

I input my weight at check out but upon arrival was told i was to heavy to go on the ride so they canceled and didnt refund me it was a total waste of time and so embarrassing being rejected for my weight yea i provided my correct weight at check out the emotional distress that it caused me was alot

This company is managed by punks who push bodies in choppers and try to extract every dollar from you in late fees, rescheduling fees, and "taxes". A horror movie was playing on the big screen in the wait room, completely inappropriate for my kids. The headphones did not work in the chopper. Quick and dirty ride over the statue if liberty and alongside the Hudson river. Terrible customer service. Awfull experience.
