      Fab way to get around a busy city and see all the sights. The night bus and the Statue of Liberty tours was the best part. However the sales reps and ticket representatives are not very friendly and practically shouts at you for getting information wrong. Not very helpful just told to download app and really just couldn’t be bothered. People will say that is what New York people are like ! This is not true because everyone one else I encountered was very helpful. This really let this company down !

      We bought the two day pass which included the Liberty cruise. On both days, the drivers of the buses stopped for excessive amounts of time at traffic lights, going through multiple red/green cycles for no reason, getting out at stops to talk to street vendors they were obviously friends with and stopping when people flagged them down at unscheduled stops. The audio quality of the tour commentary was atrocious. The bus dropped passengers a very long distance from the cruise pick up point with little to no direction on exactly where to find the boat. The toilet facilities at the boat dock consisted of two filthy unusable portaloos. We queued for the boat for 15 minutes then were told, when it arrived, it would be another 40 minutes before we could board. We gave up and got the Staten Island ferry instead. We witnessed buses from rival companies Greyline and BigBus providing much better service. The interior of our bus had hidden trip hazards also. All in all, a dreadful experience and very poor service. Avoid!

      I would definitely not recommend this bus tour to anybody. The worst part of NYC trip wss trying to use this bus. Some drives where nice but some where just very rude to people. There whole system is messed up very hard to know were your at because they the stop don't match what there map says. Some drivers don't even know the route and make wrong turns and then your just riding around in circles to get back where you started. Then you finally start going back on the route. You migyt think this is not a big deal but in NYC traffic it is a big deal. It took 30 minutes just to get back on track. You might sit at 1 stop for 30 minutes for no reason, this happens alot. They just don't care about there customers at all. They probably only stay in business because of new 1st time riders. I'm sure it not because of repeat business. It would be good for Viator to drop this company off there website, gives Viator a bad name. Lastly I would rate this tour company a -5 if I could.

      I have been to almost 30 countries in my life, in some to more than one city, I always use the hop on hop off but this one was exceptionally horrible! While waiting for the top view bus 6 buses of "Big Bus company" have passed us. We ended up late and missing the last tour of the uptown. For the reserved and scheduled tours, the cruise and the night tour none of them left on time. True there is horrible traffic in nyc that causes the delays. But there are also not enough buses to this company! I recommend using Big Bus!!!!!

      It does exactly what it says. The tour of Statue of Liberty 🗽 you will stay on boat take pictures and return. It’s a good way getting around jump off visit sights and jump back on.

      Very good bus and tour. Sadly the traffic of NYC makes it too long and you can not go up and down too much. The last bus is at 5pm.

      The commentary was very poor with far too much music playing. The cruise was exceptionally bad with far too many people so those sitting inside couldn't see out for the people standing outside.

      Worth it if can get a good price

      Had 2 day pass Bus stays to the main roads so some of the stops like union park are 5-10 min walk still. Lots of buses, so never wait very long on a stop. Staff arnt great, once you have paid they are not very helpful at all. Some are better than others but majority are rude. Downtown route takes along time to get all way round even if not getting off. I would say 1.5 hours at a guess. So take on drinks and snacks Buses are dated compared to other companies, free head phones and water proof poncho Little Island / highline is a great stop Time sq Unions square Missed world trade with bad weather but sure was a good one.

      Had a 5 day tour could only use 2 days cause the tickets didn’t load. Finally got sorted after 3 days of emails / phone calls and walking around trying to find the right place & then we did ONE tour and the bus broke down (we only did 5-6 stops!) driver was rude and aggressive - never again! Spoilt and ruined our trip!

      Very limited narration

      Compared to others I've taken, this tour was really lacking in narration. Because you sit in traffic a bit, it's annoying to only get music with no interesting stories or history. Additionally, at the end of the day, we were just dumped in the spot where the bus was going to stay instead of taking us back to a regular stop.

      Not worth the money

      It was okay. We bought the 5 day pass and I don’t think it was worth it. It’s the way of the world these days but I really do miss the live tour guide. So much better than listening and not even being sure of what building they are talking about or sometimes even being past the building by the time it’s playing. The repeated playlist is tiresome and includes the national anthem which is dumb because a person should be standing when they play the national anthem and you can’t stand on the bus. Got a better tour from one of our cab drivers. More detailed information and knew which buildings he was talking about. Save your money and take the regular bus. Also soo tired of Tip View people jamming maps in front of our faces to buy the tour. Big turn off!!!

      unpleasant experience

      After purchasing the tickets online, the instructions were very unclear and unhelpful. The location was very awkward. We were then led out of frustration to call the helpline which was an additional cost to us. The activation code was not given to us prior until we spoke to the customer support agent. Furthermore, we were refused entry into the boat for the liberty cruise as we were literally 30 seconds late before they pulled the crossing lever ( the thing that allows passangers to cross safely from the pier onto the deck of the boat). They could've let us in but I suppose they put their foot down and were strict about the rules which is understandable. However we were on holiday and are tourists therefore they should've been some Allowance for us. Overall we did enjoy the city of Newyork despite our experience with this company

      Broken company

      Company spends all their effort on selling tickets and barely any on management and delivery of services. So workers are all very personable but trained to lie and blame. It’s sad this business has potential to do a good service for a lot of people, workers and clients both, but they missed the mark. Oversold, way overcrowded especially considering COVID, and way understaffed in semi skilled positions. Take your investment elsewhere! Avoid the pain of this broken system that has no ethics to care for it’s people.

      This should actually be criminal that they could not provide the services that they promised. There were long lines of hundreds of people to get on the bus. After running to three other stops we were finally able to get on one (we went to the last stop of the loop). There were no headphones provided and therefore did not hear the commentary about what we were seeing. No where did it tell us to bring headphones. When we got off at a museum, we were unable to get back on three buses came by that were full. After wasting 45 minutes and speaking to an elderly woman who was in tears (she had experienced this for two days), we ended up buying metrocards and takiing the city bus to get around. Not to mention scraping my arm on a screw sticking out of the HANDRAIL. The cruises included in our ticket were all booked. THEY OVERSOLD TICKETS AND COULD NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICES THEY PROMISED! THIS IS CRIMINAL! Buy an unlimited metrocard for less!

      The buses are too big for the streets of New York and you spend a lot of time sitting in traffic. We were able to get some good views but over all, it wasted a lot of time.

      This tour is difficult to access because vouchers have to be redeemed at a certain address rather than on the bus. This meant a search to find the address which is a private-looking office. Other companies can be paid for at the bus. The commentary does not work well as we had almost always passed the point of interest by the time we were told about it.
