I am originally from the northeast and also have an interest in history so I was keen to undertake this tour and Wes did not disappoint. His knowledge of the city was well contextualised with the wider social and military history of the UK. Me and my son really enjoyed the experience.

Having spent the first 40 years of my life living in the city of Newcastle I was delighted to learn so much about the city's history; the Monastry at Blackfrias , the wall at Westgate, and te reason for the gap in the wall! Old haunts like the Stoll theatre , steps down to the Quayside via the Castle, Kittiwakes on the Tyne Bridge, the renound Pink Lane, not forgetting the Greys Hotel where the Beatles wrote A Hard Day's Night. !
    Highly recommended.
