Please note that the maximum size of bags and backpacks allowed on the museum grounds is 30 x 20 x 10 centimetres (roughly 12 x 8 x 4 inches). You can always leave your belongings inside the vehicle, or in the luggage store in Auschwitz.
Regarding Terms of Use at the Auschwitz & Birkenau Museum, it is mandatory to provide full names of all participants of the tour.

Scam! They bailed at the last minute and thankfully I was able to join another tour thanks to the employees at the visitor center. Do NOT use!

- We booked a Trip to poland (Flight/hotel etc) because me made a Report about Auschwitz - we ONLY came to poland for the Report. Only had 1 (ONE) day possible to Go - booked GERMAN Tour with Viator - Tour got cancelled 1 day before - were offered ENGLISH or ITALIAN (nonsense for us) Tour - we were offered NO discount for this 👎🏼 - english tour would have started 7:30 AM. We would have had to skip our paid breakfast to attend Trip —> Even no discount of Viator - after more than 1 Hour Phone Call with Viator we were put in a tour at 11:30am - we had NO OTHER possibility than to attend this because otherwise the WHOLE TRIP would have been destroyed (our report etc) - Tour Guide came 30 minutes too late 👎🏼 - if WE would have been to Late, it would have been our Problem but if Viator makes Problem —> customer‘s Problem - NO HELP of Viator. No refund. No discount. Bad Service. Bad telephone Service. - Viator can do anything. They don’t care. Never again. Never

Great organization, important place to visit.

The organization of the tour was very good, I have been told to wait at the meeting point and the tour leader collected me from it. Everything was punctual. The guide was very knowledgeable and was speaking perfect English. This is a place hard to review but I believe everybody should come at least once to visit this place. We all should learn from history. This is so important, especially in the current times, where such horror is happening in the neighbouring country Poland.

Indrukwekkend maar gehaast.

Erg indrukwekkend!! Heel spijtig om te zien hoe de mensheid zo verschrikkelijk kon zijn. Jammer dat de gids er zo snel door heen ging. Hierdoor had je geen tijd om het goed in je op te nemen of om foto’s te maken. We bleven maar doorlopen! Het hoort 3.5 uur te duren bij ons was dit 2.5 uur. Daarnaast was het ook rommelig met duidelijkheid over het tweede gedeelte van de tour. Veel stukken werden voor ons gevoel overgeslagen waar wij bij andere groepen wel toelichting over zagen krijgen. Hopelijk kan hier echt iets mee gedaan worden zodat andere echt een betere indruk tot zich op kunnen nemen en niet zo gehaast.
