What To Expect

Meet your local guide at a prearranged meeting point a few minutes' walk from the Eiffel Tower and enjoy the start of the commentary about the famous landmark's history.

As you approach the tower, you'll proceed by elevator directly to the second level. Look around the second floor, which includes panoramic maps of Paris and a 1/50th scale model of the tower's original architecture. Enjoy views of famous landmarks like Les Invalides, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and Notre Dame as you listen to your guide's engaging commentary.

Once your guided tour has concluded, you may continue to explore on your own. If you have booked the upgraded option that includs summit access, you can use the second elevator for access to the Eiffel Tower's summit, where you can get fantastic views from 1,063 feet (324 meters) up and purchase a glass of bubbly from the Champagne bar (own expense).

Showed up for the tour - they didn't have our name but "took us anyway". We paid for the summit to get to the top but the paper ticket they gave us was for second floor access only. Total rip off.

Worst ever. I paid for a guided tour however there was no guide. I paid extra to be able to go to the top, but they were closed because of staffing shortages. The tower employee told me all reputable companies issue refunds when the top is closed because of work stoppage. The weather was gorgeous but don’t waste your money on these scam artists. I tried to get a refund from Viator but after 3 calls and 35 minutes on the phone I was unsuccessful. I decided my vacation was more important than the battle. Never again Viator a scam!

Though it was rainy and cold, very crowded, visiting the top of the Eiffel Tower was a must do and a highlight of our trip to Paris. The process of meeting the guide was easy though our first contact person at the meeting spot said he was not the guide and was taking us to the guide…….,well, the guide must not have shown up because he conducted the entire tour.

Bad experience we purchased tickets showed up on time and guide would not take us. We showed our tickets at confirmation number and guide said office didn’t answer so I can’t take you. We are hoping for a refund since we were there on time and with our confirmation number. Choose a different one if looking I would rate negative stars.

Liam was a great guide. Very pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable. Answered questions, elaborated when asked. Was a nice little extra detail for our visit to the Eiffel Tower. Recommend the tour for the ease of entrance as well.

This is not worth the money more than double the price of normal entrance fee . You can easily get tickets at the office or even use Fastlane, which is cheaper than paying more than double for this offer . We were a group of more than 40 people and the guide left us at the ground floor. No guide at the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. You can make it easy on your own to the top. The ground floor guide only had basic information and some jokes. There was no compensation despite our justified complain. Please read other recommendations, too, prior to booking this offer !

The tour included the summit but when our guide finally arrived, we were told that the ticket was only for the 2nd floor. It seems like a classic bait and switch. Viator refused to issue a refund or a voucher for a later date. Will never use Viator again. BUYER BEWARE

We really enjoyed our Eiffel tower tour mainly because of our knowledgeable and very friendly guide. Martian led us through the maze of people very efficiently, all the while entertaining us with local history and Eiffel Tower fact. It is so nice to visit a site like this and to be so well cared for. He is an excellent guide.

Our tour guide Carolina was fantastic! Loved her personality and knowledge! Definitely a skip the line tour (saved us 2 hours) so the price was well worth it! Only reason didn’t get 5 stars was the guide arrived 20 minutes late and I was stressed we would miss our tour.

Bad experience. Arrived on time and had problems getting our tickets. Never got up the tower. The tour guide noticed and came back to help. Said his partner would be along to help us, she never showed up. When I asked for a refund I was told I was not there, and if I could not prove I was there (how?) there was no refund. Definitely would not recommend.

Fantastic friendly and knowledgable guide, met on time, completely skipped the queues, interesting information given on the view whilst on 2nd floor, took the elevator to the summit and had a glass of champagne whilst enjoying the amazing view - fabulous experience, was a bit cold and windy up there but well worth it.
