A unique experience with lots of fun. You feed the elephants, you go with them in the pool and you bath them. So much fun. Very nice and helpful staff keeps you absolutely safe. A great day you will never forget in your life.

Wonderful experience and excellent value for money. We booked the AM slot and was picked up at 6:45am. On arrival we we were able to have the welcome hot and cold drinks with snacks as we waited for the other guests. The program starts at 0800 with a summary of the workings of the sanctuary by the guide as well as a background of the lives of elephants. There were approximately 25 guests with eight elephants who were brought out. All the elephants had handlers and looked very well looked after. The ratio of guests/elephants was very good and we were able to feed the elephants and take ample photos. Next up was the elephant washing in the mud pool and water area where guests could take part. Lunch was very early, about 10am, but was very tasty and unhurried - spring rolls, rice, curry, stir fry etc. Toilets and washing / shower facilities were. very clean. Last up was a demonstration of how to make paper out of elephant poo! The morning finished at about 10:45 where we were driven back to our hotel. A photographer accompanies the guests and takes photos which are uploaded to Facebook. If you don’t want to be photographed there is an option to opt out. Highly recommended and an excursion that we will definitely do again.

What a terrific experience. We were looking for a sanctuary that truly made the lives of the elephants the best. This was a caring and nurturing place to go. They picked us up early, and we spent the morning feeding, bathing, and communing with the elephants in a natural setting. The staff was excellent with both the elephants and the visitors. There was a lunch served, which was very tasty, and the toilets had showers for after the elephant bath. Note: if you do the elephant mud/bath part, bring a change of clothes and a towel, as you will most definitely get wet and muddy. That said, do partake in the elephant bath, as it is such a great way to spend time with these glorious creatures. All in all, a sensational day, with lots of great memories (and photos!).

Well run and organised. Plenty of elephants on show, with a great ratio of elephant-to-tourist, ensuring everyone had time with an elephant without it feeling like it was overcrowded. Very much recommend doing this.

Our small group enjoyed lots of time interacting with the elephants. It was amazing to feel their muscles and to feel them exhaling. The photographer captured some great shots of us feeding elephants, applying mud, and playing in the water. It was early for lunch, but they served some tasty food. They have a very nice facility. It was a great culmination to our visit to Thailand.

It’s not only to watch the elephants, we were able to feed them and make them mud bath. Staffs were friendly and explained a lot about elephants. The experience of making paper from elephant’s poop was so fascinating!!!

Excellent Time Spent With Elephants

Very well put together visit to an ETHICALLY run Elephant Sanctuary. The pickup and drop off service was prompt and comfortable. The animals are healthy and well treated. Itinerary included a talk about the facility and animals, feeding them, hosing them down, making vitamin snacks for them, giving them a mud bath and then rinsing them off in a pool of water. Even a lesson on how to make paper from elephant dung. Prepare to get dirty! Lol Facilities include showers (bring your own towel), lockers and bathrooms. Our morning session included coffee and cookies and a very delicious lunch at the end!!!! I accidentally left some items in the return van and they brought them back to my hotel later in the day for me!

This was an unforgettable experience! My driver picked me right on time I didn't have to wait at all. I was the first one to arrived at the camp, the tour guy was very nice and polite and told me what to expect. They have 7 female elephants total. We were told the elephants do things willingly and they r not been forced to eat, take pictures , or stay in one location. In my experience as long as u feed them they will take all the pictures u want. They are majestic animals. I was able to feed all 7 of them and take pictures w all 7, then we got to give them mud baths and when the elephants felt like it was enough they just walked away, they were not force to stay which is what we all wanted. They are free to do what they wish as if they were in the wild. It was a lovely experience, I would definitely do this again when I come back. Both the guide and the person taking the pictures were very knowledgeable and were able to communicate w me in English which it was a huge plus.

Absolutely amazing experience!! I literally could not recommend it more. Worth every single penny. Spending time with these magnificent creatures has definitely been one of the highlights of our trip. Hotel pickup and travel was smooth and the staff were lovely.

We came to Elefant Santury on the recommendation of friends. What is positive is that we really had the feeling that the animals are doing well there. The program sounds great in the description, on site we were rushed through the program points with 20 others. Although it was advertised directly, no more than 10 people would take part. It was made out that the animals were fed up and they decide, but it was obvious that they were called out of the pool and lured out. I was still in the middle of making paper and had to stop and then we were all put on the bus and driven back. Really a pity.
