Bassil was excellent. From start to finish he we pleasant to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the whole of Petra. He took us off the beaten track a few times taking us away from crowds to spots where the views were phenomenal. I would recommend Bassil to anyone who wishes to have a guided tour of Petra.

Bassil provided an excellent experience. He was very knowledgeable and showed us parts of Petra that are off the beaten path! He was also friendly, and kindly gave thorough answers to my questions about the site. Definitely would reccomend this tour!

Booking Bassil for a guided tour Petra was one of the best decision we made. His knowledge of the site was impeccable. Besides the main attractions, he took us to the most beautiful cave in Petra (that was not mentioned in any map or YouTube clips), which we would've never found on our own. We had such an awesome time with him that we booked him again for the second day. On the second day, instead of climbing 900 steps on the crowded narrow trail to the monastery, he took us through the open back country trail with beautiful scenery, no crowds, and no shop keepers hustling you to buy souvenirs from them. It was the highlight of our time in Petra. Thank you Bassil

10/10 - would do again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

We had such a great time visiting Petra with Bassil! He had great communication leading up to our trip and told us what to expect and how best to design our day. He was punctual in picking us up from our hotel. We enjoyed his breadth of knowledge about Petra and the history that led to it. Bassil made the whole experience so much more memorable by explaining the significance of every structure and answering all the questions we had about the magical city. Apart from this, he also knew the best angles for pictures and helped us capture some everlasting memories. At the end of the tour he even mapped out a path for us to explore Petra by ourselves. Would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Petra to make the most of your time there.

My 2 day visit to Petra became an extraordinary experience with Bassil as guide. He suggested the perfect two day itinerary: Day 1 - start the day wirh aguided walking tour with Bassil to see Petra highlights; afternoon: explore Petra by yourself. Day 2 - see Little Petra and approach the Monastery from the back trail. It was perfect ! And as a bonus Bassil aranged a dinner with a local family to enjoy the Joradian local dish Mansaf. I highly recommend him as a guide, as you will learn a lot about Petra and Jordan and its incredibly generous and friendly people. Thank you Bassil!

Navigating Petra with an Expert Guide.

Petra has more to offer than just taking a golf cart for photographing The Treasury, which is the iconic symbol of this place; it's a mountainous city with numerous hidden paths and views. You need a guide to help you navigate these. I felt fortunate to have this guide. I initially chose a 7 AM time, but due to a potential rain forecast, the guide, who was excellent, checked and contacted me to reschedule. We strolled comfortably, and he pointed out many spots that I might have overlooked on my own. We hiked a bit to see fantastic viewpoints, and he made it so easy that I didn't think it was achievable before. I discovered spots I didn't expect Petra to have. If you plan to visit Petra, this is the guide I recommend.

Excellent tour and a nice start to the morning. Bassil was very good at taking photos as well to capture the memory. 3 hours might not seem like much time but we covered all the basics and mapped out a plan that I could follow the rest of the day.

An expertly planned and realized tour

Bassil was a delight. He managed our trip expertly walking with us to the far end of Petra during the three hours. He then allowed us to walk at our own pace back to the exit. That way we had the maximum amount of guided time and we could revisit places that really interested us on the return walk on our own dime.

Bassil was wonderful! It was great to see Petra while learning about its history. Using a laser pointer, he would show details high up on facades which I would have missed if I were by myself. Also a great photographer- he knows the secret spots of Petra so I got great pics. After the tour he gave me directions to the Monastery (exhausting climb but worth it), even texting me back when I thought I had lost the trail. Thanks Bassil!

Absolutely breathtaking visit to Petra, brought alive by the very knowledgeable Bassil. We walked away from the crowds to a magnificent vantage point and learned so much of the history of Petra. We went at our own pace, the tour unhurried and just very interesting! I highly recommend Bassil and this tour - just fabulous!

I did my research before we went to Petra and decided that it was best to book a tour guide to show us around. We found Bassil. To say we hit the jackpot is an understatement. From the start he was punctual, professional, informative and proud of his country. Overall a really lovely guy. We booked Bassil for the early start 7am which was perfect in the heat. He was so engaging that before we knew it 4 hrs had passed. As we had a few days in Petra we took his advice and decided to go to the Monastery the next day and go via the back route. It was another early start 7am (perfect) and we managed to book Bassil again to guide us. The journey was amazing the views were breathtaking and it was like having a good friend with you that knew all the history and pointed out everything. We had booked a tour the next day to Wadi Rum and Bassil was amazed that it was for during the day as he said that was not a good idea as Wadi Rum gets very hot and never to do a tour during the day, he asked if I could ask them to change this . We tried but unfortunately we could not change so on his advice we cancelled our trip and let Bassil rearrange everything for us. This was one of the best decisions we made. Our trip the next day was amazing we went later in the day, saw the Sunset and also had a buffet dinner. We got to see the stars and drove through Wadi Rum at night which was just stunning. We also got to meet Bassil's wife and together they made our trip to Petra and Wadi Rum one that we will never forget. If you ever need a guide in Petra/Jordan then Bassil is your Man.
